How can a team which is chasing 146 runs in 20 overs and while they are 93/0 in 12.5 overs. While needing just 53 of 43 balls with 10 wickets in hand. Somehow manage to lose by 13 Runs!!! Absolute shambles by Melbourne Stars as they literally home delivered the Big Bash 2019 title to Melbourne Renegades. Sad that the Big Bash league ends for another 11 months.
Holy cow! This is called cricket. Anything is possible. Think about the last test match in between Sri Lanka vs South Africa. I do not think anyone thought that Sri Lanka was going to win the test. How it's possible to make a 78 runs partnership in the last wicket and snitch a win from inform SA? This is the beauty of cricket. You do not know until the last ball.Congrats Melbourne Renegades.

Unfortunately I was not able to see any of the matches. Is there anything interesting going on? I am keeping an eye on cricinfo though.
There is a thread related specifically to PSL. I havent found any streams myself and am just keeping track of the score on Cricinfo. 51 runs currently needed from 35 balls. Currently the odds are 1.5x on Sulatans who have 6 wickets to spare. Shoaib malik, AD Russell, Shahid Afridi, CJ Green wickets remaining. Although a slow start from Sultans. They should still win the match as Shadab Khan is bowling his last over. Unfortunately I was not able to see any of the matches. Is there anything interesting going on? I am keeping an eye on cricinfo though.

Anyone is watching BBL between Sydney Sixers vs Melbourne Renegades?
In response to 180 of Sydney Sixers, Melbourne Renegades has already scored 97 for 2 wickets after 10.4 over. I am not watching the match but seeing the live score and it seems Melbourne are doing very good in the chase.

In the 2019 IPL the team Chennai Super Kings will retain their maximum numbers of player to the next IPL so what you think about the previous Champions Chennai Super Kings will take the trophy again in 2019.
At the moment I am not sure about it yet however last time this was my team hehe.By the way, anyone is into PSL. They have two matches today. One is Karachi Kings vs Multan Sultans and the another one is in between Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators.

PSL 9Pakistan Super League) 2019 is starting from 14th February. Do you guys have any prediction for which team to win the tournament? I have not seen the teams yet though to pick mine.

There is a tournament going on right now that I've never heard of before, The Oman Quadrangular Series which is a T20 series between a number of lower ranked cricket nations. The first T20 match was won by the Netherlands against Scotland with 1 ball to spare. And in the second T20 match Ireland defeated Oman by 15 runs. I really like this mini tournaments for lower ranked unknown cricketing countries as its good to see more countries play cricket on the world stage.
This is also something new for me. The host is Oman. And the teams are Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Oman.

It's bad that people are criticizing on Kartik. In deed Kartik is a good player for all format. The only problem is that he can't play in International matches at a row. He is playing for a long time but back in the day, I have seen him rarely to play couple of matches at a row. It's because Dhoni was there.
He had always made some good runs in IPL too.
I do not think anyone is denying the fact that DK is a good player. He indeed is a good player but he should not be overconfident and try to push himself to be a hero. May be he did not try at all to be the hero. May be he was just confident that he can hit the remaining balls for 6 each but his calculation was wrong. Not taking run from that ball took all hope away that left for that match. Besides he needed to trust his partner too who was playing well.

You do not want to push yourserlf to be a hero. Heroic act comes from natural instincts. DK took too much risk and he is living with the consequence even his calculation did not make sense. How did he think that not taking that single will win the match? The other batsman made it to the Indian team by leaving everyone else behind then why so doubt about him? DK deserves the criticism.

I do not know what was in Dinesh Karthik's mind. The other batsman was betting very well even hitting better than him but he (Karthik) denied that run. If he would taken the run then they would need 14 runs in 3 balls. But in the next ball he eventually took the single. I did not understand the strategy at all. I guess he thought that match is gone. 13 from 2 balls was not possible but Southee bowled a wide ball which could give India the win if the next ball would hit the maximum. A team should not give up before they lose.
India needs 30 from 12 balls they have 4 wickets in hand.

Check out my pre match prediction in the other cricket thread, i expected New Zealand to score above 200 runs and India chasing and losing the match, but i never expected the match to be this close, both teams played really well and India is not fielding their best team for this short version of the game, if it was a full strength team, they would win the T20 cup too. Still good chance for India
