Afghanistan players are hardworking. Even 3/4 years ago Afghanistan team was not so strong in T20 format. Afghanistan was a very weak team. But now almost all franchise leagues in the world have Afghan players performing regularly. doing This is one of the reasons why Afghanistan have improved so quickly in the T20 format. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Afghanistan beat South Africa and qualify for the finals. Afghanistan has this capability. Moreover, South Africa's performance is not too strong.

I can't say how much Afghanistan team is demanding to play semi-final but Afghanistan batsmen didn't bat that well against Bangladesh only 115 runs were not enough for opponent's target I would say Afghanistan won that match by counting luck. If Bangladesh's batsmen could have played responsibly, Bangladesh would have qualified for the semi-finals, but Bangladesh could not do so due to batting failure. And just after that Afghanistan vs South Africa will face each other basically whichever team wins will qualify for the finals for the first time but I think if South Africa's batting line up is good it can give your place a big target. South Africa will have a chance to win. On the other hand, Afghanistan's batsmen and bowlers will not want to miss this opportunity to play the final in the T20 World Cup for the first time. This match will surely be a very exciting match.

Cricket is a tricky topic in Afghanistan. It is mostly followed by the majority Pashtun population, who comprises around 40% of the Afghan demography. They mostly live in Eastern and Southern parts of Afghanistan. On the other hand, ethnic minorities such as Tadzhiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras, Pashayis and Turkmens usually prefer football instead of cricket. Even in the national team, almost all of the players are Pashtuns. Still, I hope that the celebrations are being held all across Afghanistan and not just in Southern and Eastern parts.

And the IPL experience has definitely helped them in international T20 matches. AFG is going with the momentum but their batting order is just depend on their openers, and if they departed soon then it is going to be difficult for AFG to score 110 or 120, their bowling is top form so anything above 140 can be challenging so the only question is AFG can post a total around 140 to 150 then their bowling can do the remaining.

Despite of the result they already passed their expectation so it's nothing to lose from their point of view and RSA also won't get better opportunity to break their jinx that has been stuck with them since 1991.
