We were sure that India would collect big on a batting friendly pitch. And from the Indian batsmen we can see the expected performance.

I expected a better performance from Mitchell Starc. But even in today's match, Starc is not doing well. Also veteran bowlers like Pat Cummins are not doing well today. Pat Cummins gave away 28 runs in 2 overs.

I am delighted by the counter attacking strategy of the Indian team specially hitman doing right job with things are under control, and now I can feel Australia is out of the world cup with this Indian performance because on this pitch chasing 200+ is never been ideal situation specially while you are going to face few top class spinning bowling.

Having total of 114 at the end of the 10 overs with 89 by Rohit Sharma is telling all story of this inning and match with Starc and company is feeling not comfortable espn win probability already showing India is 95% winner which is looking perfect for me with current level performance from the batsmen.

Rumors are floating around from reliable BCCI sources that Rohit ate dozens of Vada Pav during the rain break, which resulted in some gas problems and a major reason his SR went through the roof.

I won't count Aussie out, just yet. Not sure if a pitch is too good to bat or if it was just Rohit's masterclass. Aussie also got enough power in their batting lineup so expecting some fightback.

Last year India hosted ODI World Cup at their own venue but despite their good performance they did not win the last match. Today the West Indies team also came out of that dream. But out of the four teams of India, Australia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, two teams will qualify but so far it is not confirmed which two teams will qualify. India have hundet percent chance to qualify for semi-final but if Australia lose today's match then there is no guarantee to qualify then must depend on NRR. South Africa was not dependent on any particular batsman. Marakram, Stubbs, Klaasen and Janes collected 18, 29, 22 and 21 runs respectively. The West Indies batsmen would have been able to win the match if they could have collected 15-20 more runs on the scoreboard.

In today important game when we have two important batsmen from the West Indies gone back to pavilion in just first seven balls things were completely out of the way for them but still we have good resistance from the Mayers and Roston Chase as both done good job and bring their team at the good score because I was not expecting anything like this with four batsmen gone back on figures of 0 1 1 0 South Africa done good work and having all weapons ready before this important game which helps them for having this win.

To be honest, I am very disappointed with the performance of the West Indies batsmen. The team lost two wickets very quickly. But even then West Indies collected 81 runs from 65 balls from the duo of Roston Chase and Kyle Mayers. These two batsmen batted very well. But no middle order batsman can bat well. Even if Powell and Rutherford batted a bit better, the West Indies team could have collected more than 150. West Indies could not even collect 20 runs in the last 3 overs.

The performance of South African batsmen is very erratic. And even today the South African batsmen did not do well. But since the target was very small, South Africa managed to win the match till the end.

Go South Africa! I was so happy and ecstatic when they got across the line at the last minute as usual. West Indies would probably post an even smaller target had the South African fielding been better(Dropped catches, misfielding etc).

Credit to WI for pushing this one down to the wire, but the two men who collided at the boundary(Rabada and Jansen) finished things off in style. 1 semifinal spot remaining.

On the other Tabraiz Shamsi's brilliant bowling performance gave hope to the whole team as he picked up 3 crucial wickets as the West Indies team weakened otherwise they could have scored 170-180 on this pitch. And had the score been at this level, South Africa's chances of winning the match would have been greatly reduced.
