Destructive batters gone and my hope for 300+ score almost gone as well. Nitish can play decent, Samad played super quick knock in one of previous matches so there is bit of hope from him, Shahbaz idk, it would be better if they keep swinging bats for public entertainment, they are bound to get good score anyhow.

Yeah, nevermind that comment, no matter what squad DC would have mushers up, they were to lose just from the 250+ runs target they are going to get, though I would hope for 300+ but seems unlikely as Kuldeep took 2 wickets real quick just now.

Today Sunrisers Hyderabad team is moving towards another record. The team has already broken the highest score record twice. I won't be surprised if Hyderabad collect 300+ today. And with the way Hyderabad's batsmen are batting, it won't be difficult for the team to deliver a 300+ target.

Delhi won the toss and decided to field. I would say it was a big mistake for them. At the end of 9 overs, Hyderabad collected 154 runs. Travis Head has just been dismissed for 89 off 32 balls. Heinrich Klaasen scored an unbeaten 15 off 7 balls. And Abhishek Sharma managed to collect 46 runs off 12 balls. If Klaasen bats as well as in the previous matches, Hyderabad will easily collect 280 runs today.

Although the two openers got off to a great start, Klaasen and Marakram did not bat well today. Heinrich Klaasen was dismissed in the 10th over. He managed to collect 15 runs from 8 balls. Marakram's collection was just 1 run. At the end of 10 overs, Hyderabad collected 158 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav picked up three crucial wickets. Travis head gave 44 runs in 3 overs, Marakram and Abhishek took three wickets. Axar Patel also picked up a wicket with 9 runs in 2 overs. Lalit Yadav gave 41 runs in 2 overs. Mukesh Kumar gave 22 runs in 1 over. Now if the Delhi bowlers can bowl controlled, they might be able to stop the Hyderabad team within 220.

I feel like Delhi don't know how to choose a squad, Sumit Kumar and Lalit Yadav shouldn't be near playing XI. Instead of giving foreigner spot to Nortje, and making Ishant seat, they could give his spot to Ishant and let Shai Hope play, he's a good batter.

Edit: They have let Prithvi Shaw sit as well, and I would call it stupid decision too.

We cannot call a target of 177 runs on this pitch a big target. At least around 200 should have been collected. Because we see batting friendly pitch in almost every match of IPL. Scoring 200+ runs on these pitches is not a difficult task.

I get that he is a finisher and he did his job well. But at the stage when CSK was 90/5, Dhoni could have come in and scored much more quickly. Because we saw that the track was not as bad as it looked earlier. And if he was in earlier I think the score could have been bigger.

What I am trying to say is that Dhoni has saved India from similar situations like that a lot of times in the past and also in his prime. But the thing is the score was not that bad. The bowlers of CSK did not do a good enough job as well. The performance from LSG was really good by the way. The way they attacked from the start and finished comfortably, definitely is going to give them a lot of confidence as well. Great win for LSG after two losses.

Here is another argument.

Dhoni is 42 yo wicketkeeper batsman. Let's say he comes as early as 4-5 down, so most of the time after 12 or 14 overs and in case of some collapse then maybe in between 8-12 overs. That's a period where spinners operate and the field is spread, you have to rotate the strike and even try for doubles (don't forget he's old and WK). Also, he used to be good against spinner but not anymore, as far as hitting 6s is concerned.
