Morning thoughts on yesterday's match:

Taking a completely losing game that was 15-4 then to almost winning, other teams can learn a lot from this performance, for example, GT the other day that went completely defensive upon losing early wickets and eventually created lowest score this season.

Punjab should play Sikandar Raza in playing XI, I feel it's lapse on Punjab's part that they make him sit on bench, he's top tier all rounder.

Mumbai's experience of playing pressure games saved them while from Punjab I dunno if it would be correct to say lack of it made them lose but they could have played sensible when requirement were 24 runs of 28 balls.

Bumrah is once in a lifetime spectacle in cricket.

Mumbai Indians clinched a thriller against Punjab Kings. Punjab seems to have a pattern of losing in the final over. Neither their top order performed better, nor Punjab have had a stronger position. The aggressive batting from their key players not only hurt Punjab's chances but also kept them at the bottom of the table. While the big names of Punjab failed to deliver, Shashank and Ashutosh demonstrated fearless play in this format yet again.

By the way I was exciting to watch the match but unfortunately it is finished without any results due to rain.

Initially Mumbai Indians lost first three matches consecutively but currently Mumbai Indians are performing well and lost only one of the next four matches and won the remaining three matches to move to the seventh position in the points table with a total of 6 points.
However, with the bowling performance of Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee of Mumbai Indians, it will not take long for Mumbai Indians to reach the top four. Punjab chasing the target were close to it and for some period looked to win it comfortably. Ashutosh Sharma's thundering 61 from 28 balls put Punjab Kings in advantageous position. At the end of 16th over, they needed just 28 runs from 24 balls with 3 wickets remaining. That seemed easy but they were not able to held the wicket and lost by 9 runs being all out with 5 balls earlier.

hahahaha This is indeed true. Priti Zinta's fate is very bad. I don't think we will see such ups and downs from Punjab in this match. A team struggling to win against a mammoth target of 192 runs after collecting only 14 runs. This is truly commendable. We have to admit that Ashutosh and Shashank batted well despite being under a lot of pressure. But Punjab's luck was not good today.

Mumbai team won today because of Bumrah and Coetzee's controlled bowling. Akash Madhwal bowled very badly today. He gave 46 runs in 3.1 overs. Also Gopal gave 26 runs in 2 overs. If Akash could have done some controlled bowling, the match could have been dominated by the Mumbai team.

In today's match too BBumrah picked up three wickets with just 21 runs in 4 overs.

The Punjab team just lost the wicket of Ashutosh Sharma. Punjab must collect 25 runs from 17 balls. It will not be easy for Punjab's batsmen to score 25 runs at this moment. There are no experienced batsmen at the crease.
