Although Luke Jongwe controlled the over with only 8 runs in the 18th over, Ngarava gave away 12 runs in the 19th over too but 12 runs in the 19th over with two extra wides and two boundaries. But if Muzarabani could have controlled the ball in the last over and bowled smartly, Zimbabwe might have won today's match as Angela Mathews took the wicket only to lose due to erratic bowling.
The game didn't change in the 18th or 19th over only. Zimbabwean bowlers had given a lot of runs in the death overs. Sri Lanka was under pressure as they had lost 6 wickets within 83 runs. Still, they took 57 runs from the last 5 overs and won the match by 3 wickets. Angelo Mathews did pretty good with batting and bowling.
Yes, Sri Lanka was able to score a lot even though that is not have a lot of wickets in hand. I think Zimbabwe probably took things a little easy when they saw that Sri Lanka lost a lot of wickets. If Zimbabwe was able to ball with the same kind of intensity that they did towards the start of the match it could have been very different. Zimbabwe had a great chance to win the match. But bad bowling performance has made them fail to do that.
Looked like an easy winning match for India team. Afghanistan team did well, and they weren't able to control the India team. Three batsmen contributed to the winning and they made strong runs in a much comfortable manner. In between India lost wickets and among that two players walked to the pavilion without scoring single run. Maybe if the scoring of Jaiswal was stopped earlier, Afghanistan might've got better chance of winning the match.
Easy? India thrashed Afghanistan. Chased decent total of 173 in mere 15.4 overs. Except Gulabadin and couple tail-enders I don't think they did well, I don't like it when players play at close to 100 SR or worse go below it in T20, looks at this — Zadran 8(10), Omarzai 2(5), Nabi 14(18), Zardran 23(21).
They could have crossed 190 or even 200 had they continued what Gulabadin started, they got all-out anyway with their safe batting, often players try to keep their wicket safe and expect to go guns blazing in last few overs, but more often than not this strategy fails.
I think that the target that Afghanistan actually had given to was very decent. The problem is India was the team to chase the target. And we all know how good India is with chasing. I really think if Afghanistan actually had Rashid Khan the result could have been different. I don't think Afghanistan was going to win even after that but I think the result could have been very different. But anyway, India versus without any problems and they have already won the series.
