That was the point which surprised me. Rohit Sharma got out on the first ball which he played.
By the way we know that India is a strongest team. But if we took a look on Afghanistan so we will see that they also tried well. They pull the score above 150 runs. Gulbadin Naib was little good in batting and made 57 runs.
On the other hand we know there were two players in Indian team Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube. They made 60+ runs. Shivam Dube Remained not out. Well played Indian team and Congratulations. Smiley

Kohli was not available in first T20I but played second T20I and scored 29 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube are young players and its good to see them performing well at this level. So far its an easy win for Indian team in both T20I. Third ODI will be played on 17 Jan at Bengaluru and there is fair chance that Indian team will win that T20I also.

Mukesh Kumar didn't get a single wicket, that was weird, he would have probably gotten one if he completed 4 over quota.

I am actually expecting to see Virat Kohli in the T20I worldcup squad.

Everyone does. If he doesn't make into T20wc squad, Indian population will riot, and I'm not saying this in exaggerated sense.

The pitch is very flat and not everyone will get lucky to get wicket on a track like this, but he has skills which he proved in the test match against AFG so there won't be any harm if he go wicketless. And that is why Axar is excellent to concede 17 runs on a pitch like that.

Kohli will play and Rohit too, no matter what unless they are not willing to for their own reasons. Rohit desperately wanted some run on his back but no worries the big tournament is waiting where he can show all his destructiveness.

As of the current combination, it looks like there is no place for KL Rahul and Gill in playing XI.

Yesterday India won the match by 6 wickets. Afghanistan team came out to bat and set a target of 172 runs in 20 overs. Afghanistan team beat this target easily and India won the match. I never thought that Rohit Sharma will play so badly in this match.  .Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 0 runs off 1 ball.Virat Kohli was dismissed for 29 runs off 16 balls.Shivam Dube scored 63 runs off 32 balls.

Sharma got out in first game on zero and in second T20I he also got a duck but that doesn't have any impact on India as they manage to win both games comfortably. As you said, stadium is small and wicket is flat that's why 172 proved to be a small target. But still good performance from Afghanistan batsmen they scored 172 against strong Indian bowling. With this win India is now also the winner of this series.

Yes Rohit Sharma has been dismissed for 0 runs in two matches. Was run out in 1st match and bowled out in 2nd match. Such a bad performance was not expected from him as the captaincy of the team. However, the brilliant performances of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube both impressed everyone. Both of them are batting brilliantly which is really commendable. Both have built 92 partnership in 42 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal batted at a strike rate of 200 and was dismissed for 68 off 64 balls. Shivam Dube batted at a strike rate of 196 and was unbeaten on 63 off 32 balls.

Afghanistan could not give the target enough runs in 2 matches. To win against India I think Afghanistan will have to target 190+ runs. But Afghanistan put up a good effort against strong India. Afghanistan's batting line-up improved in the second match compared to the first match. Hopefully we will see a better performance in the third match. India won the series by 2-0 margin, congratulations to the India team

Funny seeing so many people think that India are in a great position to win the upcoming T20 World Cup just because they are performing well in recent T20 matches against somewhat weaker teams.

India need to focus on getting rid of the chokers tag in order to actually win big ICC cups which probably won't change anytime soon.

Jaiswal's run-out was unconventional but effective. Dubey's consistency is commendable; he's definitely making a strong case for the World Cup. Concerns about Rohit's form and Kohli's approach are valid. A clean sweep would be a great morale boost for the team.

The last ball run out by Jaiswal was hilarious, it never crossed his mind for a direct throw. He started sprinting without any hesitation to get the wicket. Shivam Dubey's stellar performance with the bat and with ball would keep the Indian selection committee that he needs to be in the team for the upcoming World Cup. Rohit Sharma again failed to score and Virat Kholi was batting like he started his career as a T20 batter. The series is wrapped up and now the last game should be won by India to make a clean sweep.

He is young in terms of experience, but Dube is actually 30 years old. Nevertheless his batting is top notch. Provided yesterday’s pitch was very flat and the stadium was small, the Indian team really bowled very well. The variations in the bowling made by the Indian skipper, really didn’t come in favour of the Afghan batters. Rohit Sharma disappointed the Indian Fans through his batting. Let’s see what changes they make for the final T20I.

In this match between India and Afghanistan, the bowling performance of the Afghanistan team has been worst. Mohammad Nabi is a good bowler but conceded 30 runs in two overs in the second T20I match. Only one bowler performed best in terms of bowling Karim Janat he bowled two overs and collected two wickets giving only 13 runs. There is such a gap here that India team has ensured an easy win by exploiting the bowling weakness of this Afghanistan team. So I would like to say that both the bowling and batting performance of the Afghanistan team is complete experience.

The batting performance of the Indian team was actually very strong as the Afghanistan team scored 172 runs losing all the wickets. But the Indian team met the target given by Afghanistan by losing only 4 wickets. Shivam Dube joined the team as a new player and has been performing very well for two consecutive matches. He is a youngster in batting form and performed well today against Afghanistan team. If the Afghanistan team wants to win, it must be experienced in terms of both bowling and batting performance.

Although Luke Jongwe controlled the over with only 8 runs in the 18th over, Ngarava gave away 12 runs in the 19th over too but 12 runs in the 19th over with two extra wides and two boundaries. But if Muzarabani could have controlled the ball in the last over and bowled smartly, Zimbabwe might have won today's match as Angela Mathews took the wicket only to lose due to erratic bowling.
The game didn't change in the 18th or 19th over only. Zimbabwean bowlers had given a lot of runs in the death overs. Sri Lanka was under pressure as they had lost 6 wickets within 83 runs. Still, they took 57 runs from the last 5 overs and won the match by 3 wickets. Angelo Mathews did pretty good with batting and bowling.

Yes, Sri Lanka was able to score a lot even though that is not have a lot of wickets in hand. I think Zimbabwe probably took things a little easy when they saw that Sri Lanka lost a lot of wickets. If Zimbabwe was able to ball with the same kind of intensity that they did towards the start of the match it could have been very different. Zimbabwe had a great chance to win the match. But bad bowling performance has made them fail to do that.

Looked like an easy winning match for India team. Afghanistan team did well, and they weren't able to control the India team. Three batsmen contributed to the winning and they made strong runs in a much comfortable manner. In between India lost wickets and among that two players walked to the pavilion without scoring single run. Maybe if the scoring of Jaiswal was stopped earlier, Afghanistan might've got better chance of winning the match.

Easy? India thrashed Afghanistan. Chased decent total of 173 in mere 15.4 overs. Except Gulabadin and couple tail-enders I don't think they did well, I don't like it when players play at close to 100 SR or worse go below it in T20, looks at this — Zadran 8(10), Omarzai 2(5), Nabi 14(18), Zardran 23(21).

They could have crossed 190 or even 200 had they continued what Gulabadin started, they got all-out anyway with their safe batting, often players try to keep their wicket safe and expect to go guns blazing in last few overs, but more often than not this strategy fails.

I think that the target that Afghanistan actually had given to was very decent. The problem is India was the team to chase the target. And we all know how good India is with chasing. I really think if Afghanistan actually had Rashid Khan the result could have been different. I don't think Afghanistan was going to win even after that but I think the result could have been very different. But anyway, India versus without any problems and they have already won the series.

Great inning from Gulabadin Naib, played some great shots, moment he got out scoring rate plummeted, eventually tail enders caught it back up to some extent, nonetheless largely thanks to Gulabadin that Afghans were able to give decent chase. Eof inning was sorta comedy.

Indian batting absolutely thrashed Afghans, Jaiswal has been consistent in T20 and high chances we might see him in T20WC.

Team India really needs Virat, no matter how much we talk about emerging stars, at the end of the day it is Virat Kohli who has to take the lead in the match. If Team India is to do well in the T20I world cup, Virat Kohli must be in the team and BCCI is aware of this, so they are doing team combinations from now on. Virat Kohli's performances in the last T20I world cup were very commendable, I hope Virat Kohli will do well in this world cup too, for which he will prepare from now.

I don't agree with your viewpoint. Virat Kohli is 35 years old, and he may be able to play prime cricket only for another 2-3 years. So this is the optimal time for the selectors to look for alternatives. And T20I should be the format they should start with. Replacing Virat in the ODI and test squad is going to be much more difficult. And also, at this age I don't think that it will be right for Virat to play in all the three formats. He should focus on the test format in my opinion, irrespective of whether he wants to do that or not.
Your point of view is also correct, but Virat Kohli can be considered by the selectors for the next T20I worldcup as they have to look at experienced players along with young players. It is true that Virat Kohli has been performing well in ODI, Test cricket and he has been playing very good cricket in this format but his performance in T20Is too is not bad at all. I am actually expecting to see Virat Kohli in the T20I worldcup squad.
Virat Kohli is a much-needed player for India in all formats of cricket. The selection committee will surely add his name to the T20 World Cup squad. He's 35, but his performance is equal to that of the young players getting into the squad. Even in today's match, Jaiswal, who is a young player, had a strike rate of 200, and Virat Kohli had an 181.25 strike rate, scoring 29 runs. He's not a player who has fans within the country or within a few cricket-playing nations. He's placed on the favorite player list worldwide.

I thought Zimbabwe would win today. Because Sri Lanka lost several wickets at the beginning of their innings. But Zimbabwe was unlucky today. Sri Lanka needed 26 runs from the last two overs to win. The Zimbabwean team would have been able to win the match if they could have controlled bowling in the last two overs. But they could not bowl well in the last two overs. They gave 26 runs in two overs. But the match was very exciting. The Sri Lankan team had to wait till the last ball to win. Mathews and Shanaka batted very well today. Zimbabwean bowlers could have won today if they bowled with some control. Luke Jongwe scored a lot of runs today. He scored 38 runs in 3 overs. And that's why I'd say Zimbabwe lost today.
This was heartbroken lost for the Zimbabweans even they have done good job and have enough things to win this match as well but still they fail to do this all when we have wicket of Angelo Mathews on fourth ball of the last over I was thinking now they can win but still they were not able to win and Sri Lankan keep things under their control which give them win while they were chasing target of 143.

Both teams are currently playing the worst cricket but still Sri Lanka is winning just because of their home advantage and Zimbabwean are also having something to cheer as they are now having few good players like Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava which can do better after having experience Sikandar Raza is also leading from the front but still they are having not enough quality which give them wins mostly they are losing matches while they are near to win.

Afghanistan team has managed to provide a target of 173 runs. I wouldn't call it a bad target. However, since the pitch is batting friendly, I think India has a high chance of winning the target of 173 runs. Afghanistan team got off to a good start by collecting 50 runs in the first 5 overs. But their batting was very slow till 6-15 overs. They collected only 59 runs in these 10 overs. And this is where Afghanistan fell behind. If Afghanistan could have collected 80 runs in these 10 overs, then they would have been able to give a big target of 200 today. Even then, if the bowlers do well, the match will be competitive.
In this match India defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets successfully target 173/4 mark. I think the decision to include Virat Kohli in the team paid off as India batters who were in good form they won second match easily. Afghanistan's batting showed tenacity, with Gulbadin Naib putting up an outstanding fifty runs off of just 28 balls. But Axar Patel won Player of the Match for his disciplined bowling effort giving up just 17 runs and taking 2 wickets in 3 overs. Afghanistan tried their best but India strength and strategic playbook won them the match and won the series 2-0.
Today, there were several match of ICC T20 competition matches, one thrilling match encounter between Pakistan squad against New Zealand squad, another match between India sqaud against Afghanistan sqaud, one more clash fighting with Zimbabwe squad against Sri Lanka sqaud. All these matches were highly competitive and entertaining.

Let's talk about India sqaud against Afghanistan squad match, at the beginning of this match, Afghanistan squad was started this match by batting inning and their performance in this inning was reliable and at end of 20 overs, Afghanistan sqaud successfully 172 scores as a defending target which seem very tough and challenging target. But India sqaud was not a weak team in overall cricket. But I disappointed the performance of Rohit Sharma captain of India team and he badly got out from crease by Afghanistan Fazalhaq Farooqi bowler. Also mid range of Virat Kohli performance in today match and he collected 29 scores off 16 deliveries. Arshdeep Singh performance was very impressive and he picked up 3 batters of Afghanistan sqaud. India squad defended all scores of 172 in 15.4 overs and also 6 wickets remained for play.
