Their international white ball career finished already so no surprise move from the BCCI. Although these 2 guys can still play the IPL for a couple of more years.

Ashwin in particular didn't look bad in his previous IPL gig and did a fine job in the last season. Every Indian player suffers from this "Not announcing retirement" problem because of brand value.

It is nice to see Tamil Nadu Premier League getting bigger and bigger with each passing season. It was first played in 2016, and this season is the 7th. In terms of revenues they are quite strong (as a result of the media rights deal with Star India and due to support from local sponsors). Other local leagues in India such as the Karnataka Premier League and the Maharashtra Premier League have struggled to stay afloat. If they allow 1-2 foreign players per team, then the revenues can be increased and there will be much more interest from the global audiences.

@Sithara007 I didn’t knew that there was demand for local leagues as BCCI doesn’t even consider player’s who perform well in Ranji tournaments hence I thought that these leagues would not have much viewership. Furthermore do you think that BCCI would be okay with them increasing the quota for foreign player’s because won’t it harm the local player’s and secondly will these clubs even be able to pay the same wages like IPL clubs pay for their foreign player’s?

You are right, England women will have to prepare hard to win the match against Australia women in the next match. I would say that the England women's team did not play badly at all. England Women's last order batting performance could have done a bit better. Then England women's score would have been slightly higher. England Women's team could have given Australia Women's team a target of 170 runs. Then England women team could have won this match against Australia women team. Does anyone follow the T20 blast series conducted in England. In the T20 match played between Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire Shaheen Afridi have made a record taking four wickets in the first over of the match. Nottinghamshire scored 168 runs batting first. Warwickshire lost four wickets in the very first over, but the team managed to win the match by 2 wickets and 5 balls left. I had pointed this out in another thread. Sarfaraz has never played first class matches for any team other than Mumbai. So his only experience is playing domestic cricket in India. Unlike some of the other cricketers like Pujara, he hasn't tried his luck with county cricket. So the selectors are not sure how he will fare against top international bowlers. And one of the main concerns regarding Sarfaraz has been his fitness. The message was conveyed to him sometime back, but he simply refused to work on this issue. Also, his aggressive behavior on and off the field has been termed as another reason why he is not in the Indian squad.

Not really, everything is connected with politics. Feel good that Sharfaraz is able to play in Ranji tournament. Think of Pujara, what he did bad. In most of the important matches his performance is really awesome and helped India overcome situations and win the trophy. He's out of the squad and Shubman Gill have tweeted for a comeback same as Rahane, maybe that's common but I felt bad for this. Every player was bad at the WTC and what's the reason he's out of the tournament when players like Rohit were given opportunity. This is how cricket happens in India. When Dhoni is the captain he used to select and he stands never to disturb the squad, now that isn't possible.

I believe this might not happen because ICC is discussing the possibility of a cap on foreign player's inclusion in the playing XI (Max 4).

Due to cricketers from most countries performing in the IPL, different countries usually refrain from organizing bilateral series between them during the period when the IPL is on. Because if a bilateral series is organized during IPL then no sports channel is available to broadcast that bilateral series due to which the host country suffers a lot. If the IPL is formed with 20 teams, half of the year will be spent on the IPL season and the remaining half will be spent on various tournaments and other matters, leaving no time to organize bilateral series. ICC cannot give permission to conduct IPL with 20+ teams even if it thinks of organizing bilateral series between different countries.

I am not agreed with this idea of 20 teams in IPL because this is going to hurt badly many like players and fans with many other leagues are also going to disturb with this as well even this is not business of BCCI as they could be directly having huge benefit from this all, and they could be richer in the sporting world as well, but they need to work on too much for this all before jumping into this idea because now many IPL franchise are investing in other leagues and surely with this all they are also going hit them directly as well.

MLC in the USA is also going to launch something big with Saudis are also working with this system and trying to have something good in cricket in their country with this all, most chances BCCI will keep this all with 12 to 14 teams and allow others to also have something positive as well.
