In the post he posted, Muslims are directly belittled. No religion teaches to belittle other religions. He is a future star of Indian cricket never expected such a post from him. When he posted after posting everyone criticized him a lot for this post he later said his account was hacked but within moments how he got back the hacked account. I think since he is a cricketer his limit should be within cricket. He has very little knowledge about religion so he posts like this. One can never highlight one's own religion by downplaying other's religion. He must be suspended for what he did.

Words and action doesn't add up. Humans make mistakes. It takes a lot of courage to say "sorry". In this case, if he had apologized, then the matter would have been closed. But he became over-smart. At first he put a status claiming that it was a genuine mistake and he is sorry for that. Then probably his lawyer or legal adviser asked him to claim that his account was hacked. And within 5 minutes or so, he retracted his apology, and claimed that he did nothing wrong. I don't know whether anyone is stupid enough to say whatever lies coming out of his mouth. I don't expect any action from GT. The BCCI should suspend him for a couple of years from the IPL and domestic cricket.
First of all, such a status is never expected from a cricketer like him as he has made mistakes and understood mistakes, so if he had admitted his mistakes and apologized to everyone instead of telling false stories, maybe there would not have been so much criticism on this issue. But he has resorted to several lies based on this post of his.
After reading people's criticism first he talks about account being hacked then he apologizes to everyone but again he thinks his actions are right I don't understand why he thought he gave such a status.
With the suspension from IPL, I hope BCCI will take some more steps against him.
This social media hacks and status shouldn't be taken that seriously as there is high chances of accounts being hacked or misused by anyone .
Now in today's world word from anyone's mouth directly should be given importance and actions should be taken on them because that's the actual and real thing that happens.
Instagram status If uploaded by him also have no significance importance as he can deny it easily which is the actual case .

Yash Dayal of Gujarat Titans, who was hit for 5 consecutive sixes by Rinku Sigh came up with this controversial Instagram status yesterday:

A few hours later, he came up with an apology:

Some time later, he again claimed that his Instagram account got hacked and someone else posted the story. His version of events doesn't add up unfortunately. In all probability, he will be suspended by GT for next season.

Just wait till he starts performing badly and that damages the team. Even Virat Kohli was criticized for a lot of things that he had done outside of cricket. And he had also faced a lot of criticism for not being able to perform for a long period of time. I don't think the case of MS Dhoni is going to be any different.
Wrong again. MSD did mess up in the past and many fans criticized him and the Indian team badly, but that was a long time ago. He achieved some insane stuff since then which is why he is regarded as one of the greatest captains in this sport.

This is why the majority wouldn't criticize him even if he performs badly anymore(Duck in the final etc). Think hard!

@pakhitheboss I keep saying this and will continue to say that this rivalry is a made up one and often done to boost viewership and hence I doubt that he’ll be suspended by GT. Furthermore player’s PR team needs better education as each post or story of theirs is scrutinised by the public hence they should be careful about what they post and for me personally IPL PR team creates these dramatic events to keep up the buzz around IPL.

In almost every franchise sports rivalry are created to boost revenue. That same policy is also part of IPL, there have been too many controversies in IPL in the past. They all were created by franchise PR or by players PR. Recently we saw the Prithvi Shaw case, that was another PR created controversy.

That didn't help him or the model but they both were able to get some media attention and Instragram followings. This is why I admire MSD so much, he doesn't have a single social media accounts. Stays away from controversies and just focuses on his game.

He is playing for Gujrat and the narrative is clear from which source these hatred originates. Who knows whether he was forced to do so to retain his place in the squad and then come up with the normal narrative that the account is hacked  Grin.

He was hit for 5 consecutive sixes by Rinku Singh, when Gujarat Titans played against Kolkata Knight Riders. According to news report Yash Dayal underwent a mental breakdown after that and Hardik Pandya made the following statement about him:

https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/new-updates/ipl-2023-yash-dayals-condition-reportedly-not-good-lost-7-8-kilos-weight-heres-why/articleshow/99793383.cms

He lost 8 kg in just a few weeks, and it shows that his physical/mental state was not good. The best thing to do for GT was to rest him for the remainder of the season, but Hardik took the decision to include him in the playing XI for two more matches towards the end. That might have added to his stress levels. Hopefully he will make a comeback during the next season.

Indian players do not handle their own social media. There is always a PR team that works on it. For him GT would provide that PR team. If you want to blame someone then blame GT. The rivalry that was created between Kohli and Navin was all part of PR. It's unfortunate that a political issue was posted from a IPL players Instagram handle. The first principal of a player is to be always remain away from politics. The reason behind cricket fans only have one religion and that is cricket.

But I don't think that Yash Dayal has this luxury. He is yet to appear for India, and his IPL contract is worth just ₹3.2 crore per year. I don't think that someone else is managing his account.
Are you saying that someone earning ₹3.2 Crore annual plus addition monetary benefits by playing domestic matches and advertisement revenue wont be able to keep a management team to manage his account when some of the small time models are appointing management teams to maintain their social media pages Cheesy.

I can't recall anyone facing action for posting something in social media, but I remember KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya getting suspended for a few matches after they made some offensive remarks during one of the TV shows. And I agree that Indian players don't handle their social media pages. Players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma do have dedicated teams for doing it. But I don't think that Yash Dayal has this luxury. He is yet to appear for India, and his IPL contract is worth just ₹3.2 crore per year. I don't think that someone else is managing his account.

Why would he post such thing on his Instagram? This is the either hack or one of the PR guy going rogue against the agency! Nothing personal as you raised it. I feel you are someone who believe in hate. Who is trying to achieve a political agenda with this post. Your profile says you are from Nepal. You burmp every now and then venom against India and now with this post it is clear where you are from.

I do believe you were trying to make this thread political and trying to create a rift between two communities or rather I may say two countries. For me this is a shit post from someone having a sick mentality.

Chennai Super Kings are obviously one of the best teams in the IPL so far. I will also say that there have been times when CSK did not have the best team in the tournament on paper. But they had a really good captain. They also had a team which always listened to MS Dhoni. That's why I believe even without the best resources they have been able to be successful. RCB does have a good team. At least in most cases. But they lose crucial matches.
Are you sure about this? You are claiming that CSK has better players when compared to RCB. Think again. Because RCB has some of the best T20 players in the world. In the batting department they have Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell as the top-3. Then they have promising players like Finn Allen. As the keeper, they have the best option available in India - Dinesh Karthik. And bowling is also top notch. They have Wayne Parnell, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood and Mohammed Siraj as the pacers, and Wanindu Hasaranga as the spinner. You still want to say that CSK has better players?

If we make a comparison between RCB and CSK it is easy to find that RCB team has few players who are very much strong. They have good reputation in world cricket as well as franchise cricket. But compared to their players I don't think CSK had such reputable batsmen or bowlers but their skillful leadership and quality batting and bowling made them champions. Even with a good team in IPL, RCB can not win the championship from any session. A good observation of these two teams RCB and CSK will make it easy to understand the importance of captaincy especially Dhani's contribution.

Wrong. Did you even watch the previous editions of IPL? CSK did lose horribly and ended up on the bottom of the table several times, but most fans still supported him because no one is perfect.
I am surprised with this statement. As of now, Chennai Super Kings, along with Mumbai Indians holds the record for winning maximum number of titles in the Indian Premier League. Both the franchises have won 5 times out of a total of 16 seasons (CSK was actually suspended for 2 seasons, so it is effectively 5 out of 16).  In one or two seasons, they might have performed badly, but that doesn't take away the fact that they have been one of the most successful teams in the history of the IPL. Now compare this to a team like Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have never won the IPL till date. Their fans need to be appreciated, right?

Chennai Super Kings has maintained good reputation since the start of the IPL. They should be commended at every level, starting with good performances in the team and being finalists. Back-to-back wins in 2010 and 2011 greatly increased fans' attraction to their team. Moreover, no one can not get anything negative about the performance of the finalist teams of 2018, 2021 and 2023. But one should never expect Chennai to do well consistently in the IPL. Because cricket does not always have form. But comparatively this team has been doing consistently well since the beginning and is expected to do better in the next sessions.

Well, I can assure you that once he starts performing badly and CSK starts losing matches because of him, the fans will start complaining.

That was a different story. CSK was losing because almost all of the players in the team were performing badly. But once the fans see the team losing just because of MS Dhoni not performing well they will quickly turn on MS Dhoni. They are not going to support him if the team loses because of him. A lot of people are saying that they are going to keep supporting MS Dhoni just because he is still playing really well.

Just wait till he starts performing badly and that damages the team. Even Virat Kohli was criticized for a lot of things that he had done outside of cricket. Dhoni is one of the best Indian captains in Indian history for sure but only in white ball cricket. He was ridiculously bad on the tests.
He is the best(Not one of them) if you ask me. Also, most fans of this sport only care about white ball cricket while the minority care about red ball cricket.
