Furthermore I’m kinda disappointed that team India did not experiment and tried their bench player’s today, so does anyone else feels the same that this was a good opportunity and that the management should have taken a bold approach for this game by changing the playing 11?.

The way Newzealand were going when Phillips and Conway were on the pitch I thought they will easily reach 180 or more. Then the Indian bowlers namely Arshdeep and Siraj brought India back and now the Indian batters have a target of 161 runs. In my opinion it will be not that easy for Indian team to chase this target if they rely solely on the performance of SKY. I feel the openers need to stay a bit longer and form a partnership rather going after the bowlers.

New Zealand's batting disappointed me today too. They managed to start the finance very well. At the end of 15 overs, New Zealand's collection was 129 runs, losing only 2 wickets. But they batted terribly in the last 5 overs. They lost 8 wickets in just 28 balls and collected just 31 runs. My guess was that New Zealand would give a target of at least 180+ in this match. But they failed. Indian players are very confident after winning the first match. They will probably have no problem reaching the target of 161 runs.

New Zealand got 1 wicket of India at 13run from 2over. New Zealand seems to have started well. Now only if they can increase the amount of India's required run rate, it can be said that there will be an extra pressure on India, but if New Zealand wants to win, they will have to take three or four wickets in the first power play. But it is true that New Zealand had no batsmen to watch other than Devon Conway and Phillips.

In New Zealand vs India match New Zealand has scored very few runs as overs so far. Right now New Zealand batting performance is very poor and currently their runs are not increasing much. Totally agree with you because if we watchout Rohit and Rahul
Performance in opening batting they has absolutely no comparison. So pant has to prove himself in these matches in order to get select in squad , not in opening but in middle order.

Defiantly India need to try someone other then KL for opening slot. KL throughout the last WC and in Asia cup struggle to score runs. India batting is not an issue then have issue with there bowling. Right now only recognized bowler is Kumar. They need to bring in more pacers to the team.

He should be but management must give him a long rope at the top order as it suits his batting in LOIs, for tests he's already one of the best in the middle order but IMO He's pretty much useless in the middle order as far as T-20 is concerned.

If management still treats him as a middle-order batter in the T-20 (to some extent, In ODI it's okay) then it would be good to drop him from the squad. On KL Rahul, well he was an exciting middle-order batter but Sikhar Dhawan's injury in ODI WC gave him a chance and after that, he got f#ucked and he returned the favor by f$cking team India with his batting. He's actually beautiful to watch when on a song but with the kind of bench strength India has for the top-order batters, he doesn't deserve a spot in T-20, even in the squad. Rohit is getting old now and his fitness is bad so not much hope for his T-20 career. In ODI and tests, he still has a future and at least 5-10 more beautiful 100s are waiting for him.

As far as the series is concerned. It's a testing ground for both teams, especially India.

High total might be a reason and they were under pressure to maintain the run rate, but they batted terribly, they lost the openers pretty quickly and only Kane Williamson played well in the match and the rest of the batsman were throwing away their wicket.

In fact, both teams have a lot of talented and experienced players in their squads for the T20 format. And so there is no reason to think that New Zealand will be defeated in the second match as well. India won the first match very easily. But apart from SUryakumar, no other batsman ever played well. If India's top order performs this badly in the second match as well, it will be difficult for them to win. On the other hand, I do not trust the Indian bowlers. Their performance in the World Cup was poor. But they played brilliantly against New Zealand. But there is no guarantee that they will do well in the next match.

Target like 191 is surely match winning in New Zealand conditions and there was no hope that Indian young and inexperienced batting line up can do score like this but Surya Kumar was in excellent touch, and he hammered all around to kiwi bowlers for his century with the striker rate of 201 with this performance surely he deserved th1 Number One rank in T20i batting ranking, and he can keep this place for long time because technically he is the best player and currently no one can give him challenge.
After having huge target like these, bowlers were also at the top and take few early wickets which not allowed New Zealand for having any good response and at the end they lost the match by big margin which is surely a setback for them after losing their seminal against Pakistan in Australia.

The last match was awesome. However, if the Indian new T20 team squad can protect their consistency, it may be a big one for them. Since the BCCI gave them freedom. However, no one was able to contribute much with Surya Kumar. He had done alone in the last match. Even the Hardik Pandya batting has noticed some changes. Since he is now the captain of the Indian team, he must be responsible for the responsibility. However, I would like to have this continuation of their victory in the upcoming match.

Apart from Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav, no other batsman could contribute much in the first match. Even then only Suryakumar Yadav was able to set a huge target of 192 with his superb batting. But every Indian batsman has the ability to perform well. However, the performance of the Indian bowlers in the first match was excellent. If the Indian bowlers are able to perform well in the second match as well then we will see the dominance of the Indian players in the second match like the first match. But my guess is that New Zealand will win the next match.

India new team selected under Hardik Pandya captaincy will try to give its best in this series because this will define their future
Now Newzealand have to win next match to gain points and avoid from being whitewashed.
