ICC has always extended more cooperation with India. And this isn't the first time we've seen it. We have seen this in the past as well. And now we are used to it. According to ICC rules, 5 runs are fined for fake fielding (As far as I know). Bangladesh will win this match if India is now penalized by 5 runs. Secondly, I am not a cricket expert. But many experts say the ground was not fit for the game. The match should have started a little later. The play was restarted essentially to give India a chance. However, Bangladesh players played well. And even though they didn't win this match, I think everyone liked the gameplay of the Bangladesh team in this match.
We can debate about ICC's bias towards India for the next two months, or even the next two years. But nothing is going to change. ICC is not FIFA, FIH or FIBA to remain neutrality instead of favoring any single country. First of all, the ICC is headed by a businessmen (Greg Barclay) and this has been the norm ever since that organization was founded. And the BCCI for most part was also headed by either politicians or businessmen. Why should these people prioritize game over money? On the first part they have no love for cricket. Their love is only towards money.
With you this logic they need to do just one simple work in future ICC events please not invite any subcontinent team and play with three Indian teams which will be more beneficial for them in all terms and no one will rise any objection as well because as you are saying it's not FIFA, FIH or FIBA it's only happening in ICC which is clearly now Indian Cricket Council with the help of two hypocrite countries like Australia and England.
Sadly now we lost a beautiful game or Gentlemen's game by the hands of few greedy and unsporting peoples which are bringing feuds and personal ego's and still calling the biggest democracy in the world.
Sithara007, All I want to say is why do we even need to have ICC if it is not meant to be fair to everyone? It feels like India is committee team right now. If India wins, the ICC is very happy, and if India loses, the ICC feels very hurt as well. And most of the 50-50 situation seems to be going toward India almost all the time. If ICC cannot do its work properly I don’t think ICC is needed.
I saw a news report that wrote about yesterday's India vs Bangladesh match. The report went something like this: "
After India won, the crowd chanted India..India..., if they had chanted ICC..ICC... the slogan would have meant the same thing." lol
The striker didn't see Kohli.
Nonstriker didn't even look at Kohli when running.
The umpires didn't notice Kohli.
The camera did notice Kohli
Yeah, all the problem is because of this camera thing which is showing the truth. How about introducing a new rule, no camera replay and recording allowed in Indian Matches
I don’t know if that allegation was actually true from Nurul Hassan or not. I think they were wrong. And if he had any problems like that he should have told the umpire right then. That might have resulted in Bangladesh being given five free runs. No point talking about those after the match, to be honest.
