I was intrigued about TaaS but after researching a little from what I've read here, it appears that you get roughly a 3% return per quarter on the investment. That value is much worse compared to some other coins in the markets that I'm learning about such as Bitcore. Obviously, this is highly speculative but they're offering a guaranteed weekly return of 3% in the form of an airdrop for the month of November while increasing that return by 1% each month going forward. There are certainly downsides to this approach which we'll see as time goes by but from a purely compounding perspective, it seems like a no-brainer to choose another altcoin such as Bitcore over TaaS. Please note that I'm a newbie trying to build a portfolio of dividend coins similar to my stock portfolio and my only intent is to see whether it makes sense for me to consider TaaS as an option. Thanks everyone for their input and best of luck!

This is great thinking

TAAS is best investment for me in crypto    beside BTC and ETH offcourse =)

No doubt TAAS is best performing asset the team utilizing their capital wisely and their ROI is simply the that is the great reason to hodl this token. I also believe in long term each token will get more big value hopefully around 3rd payout.

You misread some stuff. ICO price was 1 USD = 1 TaaS and the payout of the first quarter was 0.28 USD / TaaS and the second was 0.3358 USD / TaaS. I don't get how you calculate your 3 percent per quarter. If you would grab TaaS at the current rate of $4.19 and the payout in February would be like the last one you would get about 8 percent dividend. If TaaS performance is better it will be more - vise versa - it will be a bit less.

I am a little disturbed at the sharp fall in price this quarter. I expected it to perhaps drop by maximum 20% but not by 50% where it is at now. This actually puts me in a loss even with two lots of dividends so am thinking if I SHOULD SELL A FEW OFF AND JUST KEEP SOME Bitcoin as TAAS keeps going down while Bitcoin keep going up so am not making any profit here at all. Only those who bought in the beginning are really still in profit here.

Ethereum Price going higher now thats great Wink

It's not that great really. That means they will pay less dividends.
Taas is still profitable but waiting 3 months for shares is hard. I'm tempted to do trades in exchanges.

Who said it will be low whatever the price of ETH, they will pay according to profits they gained from the investment they do. Maybe next time the price of TaaS going to touch more than 10$ for sure because already the price of TaaS ATH is nearly 7.5$.
What he means is the dividend we get based on $$ so if ETH price increase we will get less ETH. Personally i don't mind because taas also has some eth in their portofolio so that should boost our dividend gain if eth price increase. Also that target price can be achieved if the funds performance near the next dividend payment is good.

What’s the requirement for the payout? Someone has to own taas tokens? Is there a holding period requirement?

Payout done on quarterly based you need to keep hold the token till snapshot dev announce about this event. You can find the details about previous payout rounds. This is very simple method to get rewarded just hold and peace.

you have to own taas in your mew/taas wallet to get profit share. basically you have to keep taas up until snapshot[its announced way in advance] to receive profit share.

Made 500% ROI with taas, sold, traded the altcoin booms + mining some alts on the side Smiley

Don't ever forget, the best place where your money belong is in your pocket Smiley

Great

Made 500% ROI with taas, sold BCH and BTG + bought 2500 more TAAS

and next year it will be more free ETH   and more ROI  Cool Cool Cool

Filled my bag with few taas at 58k sat and would slowly increase it until mid-2018.After this, it is going to be too costly with more than 10$ per taas.Happy to change hands from all the dumpers who are gonna cry in 2018.
