the base heatsink is 300x250x20
Then add the arctic cooler for height + 120x120x25 fan on the bottom and some room for air under

it will be nice if we could get all parts we need to run those boards with theirs prices(for example techobit prices) so we can calculate our costs and order it on time..

After shipping chips, how should we inform you of the order and pay for return shipping? For people trading minion chips for your assembly services.
Just place an order with Bank wire payment with a msg/comment in the order.
Then I'll contact you

Hey Marto:

For those of us sending you chips via minersource,  how can we pay for boards using the four chips as payment for each board?

I am interested in this as well. I assumed we would add them to the cart at technobit.eu and choose bank transfer for payment method. Then PM him to get the order adjusted and pay for any remaining charges.

So the usb port on the miner goes to the usb hub
the tp-link connects to the usb hub via usb
and the tp-link connects to the wired lan
Am I getting this right in my head chaps.

Yes, that how it's work.

Thanks again ZBC3 for the useful info. Ok,
..........

Can multiple tp links be on the same switch? Can say a 24 port switch run 2 tp links and 20 boards?

Could a 48 port run 4 tplinks and 40 boards? If I am headed in the right direction, sounds like to me I need a 36 port and a 24 port hub.

 Thanks so much in advance!
Short answer is no.
There is no easy way for tplink to distigush what 10 boards to use
So it will turn out that multiple tplinks are talking to same board = A BIG MESS dude.
Besides hub needs 10 uplinks for usb hosts and so on and on forget it

In general i like smal deployments

Best option is single tplink + USb hub 4+ports  a PSU appropriate for two boards 1000W+ at least. so my setup shares a common ground. Tplink is powered from USB HUB and HUB is powered from PSU +5v
So if something goes wrong with power or whatever else due to mistake, short etc you are loosing only two boards MAX.
If all are connected to same USB HUB the chance too lose them all is big.

Another option is let us say for 10 boards - TPLINK 10 port hub NxPSU - In that case just make sure that you plug the psu's for that setup in single PLUG and PSU power cables are connected in a !!!SAME WAY!!! in the extender. And choose the extender with thick wires for about 5KW
As you see from marto pictures it works. But marto knows how to do it using many PSU's Wink
It is a messy. If you are not sure how to do it ask electritian to help you out
50 HEXM is a serious shit be careful with power

Loshia,

Thanks to you and Zich for initially selling me on the TPlink. It runs smoothly, makes it easy to overclock, and is guaranteed to pick up where it left off if more power goes out.

Ok you are right, no downtime on TPlink. I should have been specific. The Pi on the other hand has lots of downtime.

Now the only downtime I get is when the power goes out or my internet goes down.

Nice to hear that dude Wink
A word about PI. I know that all of you love it. I tried it also but it has two issues
Major one is that USb intereupts are shared with ethernet which kills minig or ethernet or both
minor one after two or three power offs/ons my SD is dead Cry and needs dd if of shit Grin
So i droped it after just a day or two

Thanks again ZBC3 for the useful info. Ok, just so I have everything needed before the boards get here, how many tp-link devices will I need for the 50 boards? Will 1 of those and a 48 port linksys (it actually has 52 ports) be all I need besides cooling, power supplies?
No,
From what we have tested 7 minion boards make 55% max load on a tp-link.
It should be able to run up to 10

Ok. So I will need 5 tp-link's got it. Can you explain or show me what all is needed to get them up?

Say I have 10 boards, 1 tp-link, a switch, power supplies, and fans.. What else is needed?

I am confused how the tp link works. Does it need to be on the same switch as the boards?

Can multiple tp links be on the same switch? Can say a 24 port switch run 2 tp links and 20 boards?

Just to give an idea TP-link VS windows...

I have both running the exact same kind of miners, HEX16A2's.

After a good long time of running both as hosts I'll tell you, avoid windows! I only run it due to lack of hubs which I hope to be able to fix soon.

The TP-link set has 98% uptime, the 2% due to PSU spazzing out and shutting down for unknown reason, but it's an old shitty PSU so it's definitely at fault. Only the miners connected to that PSU shut down, others were still mining.

Windows has about 40-60% uptime depending on how quickly I catch when the USB shits itself... BEWARE. The messup has a roughly 100% chance of happening over a span of 4 days.

I have the TP-link on a powered hub that also powers the TP-link and it has literally NEVER shut down. Even when I blew the PSU's plugged into the miners and had hubs go apeshit due to power leak to ground, TP link was still up, just showing no miners online Tongue. In my experience these things are bomb proof, plus no mucking around compiling stuff, just flash the Technobit firmware, log in, set up worker and pool, and never mess with it again.

can you run with out the tp-link please.
Hey,
Windows is pian in the ass dude.
Buy one tplink and flash it. All you need to do is just a couple of clicks to mine Wink
It works REALY great and is 5 wats only Cheesy

I will take the advice and get a tp-link but will try windows first and fall back to the tp-link if it's a pain like you say.
It is....
Just be prepared. You know time is money Wink

It's in the post most likely pass my minions going the other way Smiley
