What is the problem with that? The FUD has always existed, there is nothing new with that.

Just look at all the other forums that are not "always talking about bitcoin" And you will see that a lot of people who are investing in cryptos, are saying that everybody MUST buy at $8000 instead of the atm's price.

It is not a good advice for those who are not still introduced into the system. But this is making the price to be stable a little bit more than before.

But why do you include telegram in this? They are just a channel, telegram is not the problem in here.

I don't have problems with all the channels there, but the ones that spread such FUD should get banned or be unallowed to even create an account with them. I know that everyone understands and knows what an actual shit is and act accordingly, but just the way people get negged/banned here for spreading such types of rumors and creating dramatic situations, don't you think telegram should also contain such properties where they punish users for spreading false information? I believe telegram is currently the most widely used medium due to its anonymity feature and these cross-promotions allow users to "scam" people more and more by creating newer accounts and claiming they know too much about bitcoins and alts too and I really feel bad when they invest (send them coins to get added to their paid channel) and get all this in return. As said, it's not going to make any difference by me reporting such to them alone, but if the community decides to step in and stop all this, I believe we could make a difference.

Really sad to see those ***hole spreading FUD and for what? so that they can bought bitcoin at lower price? That's why I still believed that there are groups that really exist to be paid just to create panic in the community. That's why I never join any of them.

I hope that anyone who has read their FUD should used their common sense not to believed in such fake news. And for those newbies, this is how they play the game and don't listen to them. Make your own decision and check the price in coinmarketcap just to be sure before jumping on the sell button.

Friends,
We all witnessed the horrific rally of bitcoin that made it do over 11 times in a period of less than a year, but few people on the telegram are spreading hoax as well as doing "false" cross promotions by creating misconceptions among users that bitcoin went to 8000 and will go down more. They are doing all this through their channels and this is one worst thing that could destroy the image of bitcoins in new investors' views as they don't know much about it and will probably not check out the real picture. I don't know why such channels are not banned on Telegram but I will try my best to report each and every group that does their cross promotion with such bullshit content.

Thanks for the effort reporting but I don't think Telegram will do anything at least to minimize those. It's up for the people itself.

We just have to spread here especially to those persons that don't know what they are dealing with on online world especially with telegram groups. People must understand that there are thing called obvious shit. And if they choose to become a bitcoin investor why should they listen on a thing that doesn't have proper basis. They should act on their own judgement by doing proper analyzation of what can really happen in bitcoin price or any related thing to that. Honestly groups like that will continue to exist because of those believers itself that will just easily believe in any claims. I can't take the reason that they are not aware because there are even newbies who knows what's an obvious shit is.

Could any telegram channels be banned for spreading misinformation? In that case I think every fourth group would have to be banned, because there are a lot of groups out there where there is nothing but baseless pessimistic speculations.

I do not think that you should react so sharply to what is advertised and written in the channels. This is the market and it works that way. This does not change, always the news background was bought and will be bought.

could be an botnet spreading fud/fomo to try and jungle the market for day trading

I don't believe these are bots, and even if they are, I strongly believe we need to get such channels stopped (banned) from working because this will probably harm the prestige of bitcoin it has gained throughout its 8 years of success. More and more people join telegram daily through the forum itself with the need to gain more knowledge on how to trade bitcoins, and they end up getting these "fake" news from such channels. I really can't believe that just to gain more users and get more money through them by alluring them that they could make more with their so-called paid channel, these bastards will just do anything ridiculous and break all the levels of meanness.  Angry

Could you name some channels that do this?

Probably yes, I've reported and deleted some of them already (unfortunately). But luckily, there's one I can still show you as a proof.
https://t.me/VipCryptoZ
Below is an example of how these channels are wrongly cross-promoting in order to get more users to their "other" channels.
