Is everything ok with this bot, is it still online?
Also down for me and at least one other guy from forum I just spoke with.
Yes, the notification queue was down. It's fixed now, thanks!

I accidentally noticed that someone quoted me, but I didn't see anything from the notifications on Telegram. it seems to me only from today.
in the meantime, I saw that a new official Telegram update was released, is that why the notification was missing?

Came here to find out what has happened  Grin

Really got used to it and now when it is down....strange feeling.

I have noticed that I still get mentions and sometimes merits which are not correctly attached to the star or globe emoticon they are supposed to have at the beginning of the notification. I know it is rather just a visual feature, but is there a way to solve it?
I just refactored some code to fix this and a few other issues (+ to avoid future ones).

Hello TryNinja, please answer: if there is a command in the bot to increase the number of characters in the message (twice)?
If not, then maybe it would be useful if it's not difficult for you?
Done. Run the command /length X (where X is the length of the post, max value of 1000). Let me know if it works.

The default value (since ever) is 150.

Its working fine after "/reset" command. Thank you!

It works great on my end, I just upgraded the length to 300 characters.
This for me is one of the best updates to the telegram bot project as I struggle to make out the quoted message from the text in the notification.

Am I supposed to reset the bot, close the bot and then opening it again?
Thanks in advance! By the way, this is one of the most useful tools for the forum.

Perhaps you could also add some emoticon when someone we track in a topic posts a reply?  Smiley

Very nice. I often find telegram preview too short. Just updated to /length 250!

I was wondering if bot was down for a while as I didn't get notification for this post where I was quoted, then realized it may be because post was edited, can you please confirm if it's so because post was edited?
Original post: https://ninjastic.space/post/62318106

Also edited after the 5 min rescrape. Makes sense since he waited until several blocks were mined…

I have a complaint about the Superbot notifier on telegram and I taught maybe the error is from my own end but don't really get why the notifier keeps giving wrong updates in my current merit received, it keeps notifying me that am two merits ahead of my current received merit. At first I taught its just an error glitch for that moment but it keeps persisting and still keep up with the error even though I have restarted the bot on my telegram. Although its not a major thing but its still quite annoying to be getting wrong updates on my received merits please what am I to do about this error or is it normal for everyone?
The predicament you're facing seems to be a mismatch between the displayed number of merits on the bot and your actual number of merits, isn't it? You can give it a shot by using the command /setMerit 145 since I noticed that you currently have 145 merits, whereas the Telegram bot displays 147.

You can find this command on the first page of this post.

Commands:
/setMerit X - corrects your cached merit count.
Well thanks for the update but I think I can really get the command right as am probably using a mobile phone to access both my telegram and my bitcointalk account but if there is a way to do it with  my mobile please carefully direct me towards it so I can update and actually fix the error but I would say apart from this little issue am experience the bot has actually been very helpful as am now current on the topics where I have actually posted.

How about when someone mentions '@op', op of the thread gets notified? Could be useful for long threads?

I already suggested it a couple of of times: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62159214

I don't think it's easily doable.

New Update!

You can now add the bot on group chats. Just add the bot and run /start once. As usual, you can always get the menu by sending /menu.

Only admins can make changes and interact with the bot (other users can see the menu and read the notifications, of course).

Besides mentions and merits (disabled for group chats), you can do anything the bot normally allows you to do:
- Add tracked topics, phrases, boards, users.
- Ignore topics, users.

Done, this month is on me.
Thank you! Smiley
