I think the prices will not always go up in the future would be up and down, but in a certain period of time such as 10 years to come I'm sure the price will be higher than 10 years earlierthe ups and downs will happen always and that is not only limited to bitcoin, it is happening to all the markets out there. as long as you are buying and selling anything its price will go up and down!!
but the important thing to look at is the overall and long term changes. so for example if the price has gone up in 3 months it means it is doing good. and for bitcoin this has been true for over a year now.

I agree in the line that bitcoin price will increase until it meet its saturation point where it is being used by almost all internet people in the world. But I don't think that bitcoin will be the future money or will replace fiat currency because government will more likely won't allow it. The reason is that, government want to control the currency they use for the country's financial security.
Security issues is not a big problem because the network is very safe, you can tell that since we are putting our money with bitcoin. I think our big challenge is more on the adoption rate of bitcoin and I believe if we continue to support bitcoin time will come massive adoption will happen. It's a slowly but steady progress we have here.

My prediction is after 30 years a lot of coins will be born ,but bitcoin is their main coin. Bitcoin price will rise upto 20 -30k usd per btc. That price would be the highest price of bitcoin at all time.This predictions that bitcoin will reach $10k, $20k, $30k is just bullshit, we never know what will happen but if everyone keep talking that bitcoin will reach this prices, this encourage people to buy now and for sure one day it can happen. Do you understand what I say?
There is no problem if we want to predict basing on our own opinion but of course it is better if we will predict with some possibilities.
Because sometimes our predictions becomes exaggerated and it is too far from the reality. My prediction would be $1,000 hoping before the end of the year or maybe for 2017.
And madwica is right, we just need to keep on collecting because bitcoin is always pumping.
