No one tell or predict the actual price of bitcoin in future, because bitcoin is unstable currency so no one knows what will gonna happen with bitcoin in future, may be price drop or may be it's price increase. Your first prediction is somewhere acceptable but your next prediction is not acceptable because we have to wait for 10-12 years more to see that price if the bitcoin price increasing without any decline.

Why such huge sums are voiced when it comes to the price of bitcoin in the future. B than its value will be after 2020 if indeed there will be $ 10k. I can not understand.

This is true especially when trying to estimate the usage of bitcoin in day to day life. Just check how much time does any credit/debit card takes to complete the transaction. It happens in few seconds. Everytime I try to send or receive bitcoins average time is few hours. Who would wait for that much amount of time for completion of transaction. Bitcoin technology needs to be scalable to growing requirement.
Just imagine what would happen when bitcoin price would reach to the highest level, transaction fees also increase exponentially. That is not good sign

By the way, that's one of the reasons why miners are so opposed to introducing updates to Bitcoin which could make transactions cheaper and thus faster

I think $10,000 for 1 Bitcoin is a pretty realistic prediction for the year 2020. It will probably never go higher than that but $10k is the price for BTC when everyone in the worlrd was aware of its existence. I can't prove it now but I was talking about this price in 2013 when Bitcoin was below $200.

I guess bitcoin will be $2k this year itself and in next 5-7 years $10k.

I do not think it will reach 10,000$ level in that year, it is 3 years from now which will be a fast development for an un-circulated coin. From the price right now you won't see such kind of development because it is not normal to see a 1,000$ coin become 10,000$ in the next 3 years. Also I don't think it will reach to that kind of level because the government will take some action now because it will provide unjust riches to people who have accumulated it which won't be taxable.

Bitcoin is not just another fiat out there that got introduced in some obscure country or territory in the image and likeness of another firmly established currency like the US dollar. It is a whole new concept, and it being new does matter a lot. I could easily defend this point, but I just send you to history. The road to universal adoption of fiat money itself across the world was far from smooth but rather rough and bumpy. A few fiat pioneers did end up in jail, though the failure of their attempts at creating fiat and setting up currency circulation had not been their fault at large. In fact, it took many decades (if not a whole century) to establish the rules for setting up and maintaining fiat money circulation
