Very possible, but new record marks pop up here and there. For example, Djokovic now stands at 384 weeks number 1 in the ATP ranking. I am sure that he has his eyes on the 400. Another magical barrier to cross. The GS record is definitely the primary goal for Djokovic. Now depending on how his injuries are developing, the duel between him and Nadal would certainly be of historical relevance should they indeed meet in the final. My god what a game would that be? Both are at 22 GS, Roland Garros is Nadal's second home and winning a GS title there would make it pretty hard for Djokovic to overtake Nadal later on. It would still be 2 GS titles to go then. But there is Alcaraz and beating him is tough on almost all surfaces, meaning that I think it would be harder than many believe for Djokovic to add another two titles. He would still be able to in terms of quality, but his health condition will probably decide about the outcome of his mission.
In the last couple of years; Nadal, Federer and Djokovic are/were getting more and more injured and it takes a longer time to heal. Roland Garros is around the corner and hopefully both Nadal and Djokovic are fully healed so we will get a nice battle. These days, there are a lot of young talents (Alcaraz on top, but also Zverev, Tsitsipas, Rune, ...) so it will be interesting to see who reaches the finals of the grandslams and who can lift the trophees.
The worst ending that I am fearing for Nadal would be if he plays a successful French Open and then at some point has to give up because of an injury. Every time I watch him play these days (when he actually plays) there is this feeling all the time that he might just stop and say he can't go on anymore. It is a bit annoying because often those are the best games you can get at a tournament when Nadal is involved. In this particular case a last fight between Nadal and Djokovic would also be a nice and logical end to one's own expectations from the tennis era of the three GOATS. With his history of injuries it is hard to imagine that he will still be playing even in 2024 and 2025.
