semi-finals today for Roland Garros. The terrible young three are still all in and these 3 are destined to dominate for the next decade.
The most important semi-final will certainly be the first to be played today between Alcnaz and Sinner.
It is difficult to predict the victory even considering the long stop Sinner was forced into in recent months.

Probably Alcaraz will win.

Novak Djokovic's injury is regrettable, but the fact that he has been playing top tier for years without a serious injury is something that needs to be studied. He took great care of his body, but the challenges of aging eventually showed up at some point. He had a successful meniscus operation. I wish we could have seen him win another tournament, it will be difficult for him to recover now.
I don't know if it will be Alcaraz or Sinner in the final, but I think Zverev will beat Ruud. One of these three guys will be the champion. Ruud wouldn't have beaten Djokovic if he wasn't injured.

I agree with everything you say, I also think it will be very challenging for djokovic to
win another tournament. He is 37 now, Rafa 38, it looks like these are the years where
the body starts to say enough.

Ruud, yea he might be a clay court specialist  or his favourite surface but I think
Zverev, Sinner and Alcaraz have more to their game. Zverev is favourite @ 1.77 v 2.00

and to take it a bit further I dont think Zverev can beat either Alcaraz or Sinner ATM.

On women's single, Iga Świątek still is unbeatable.  Her arch rival Aryna Sabalenka is already out of race and Mirra Andreeva had been a surprise success. I guess Iga and Mirra would win their semis to meet in finals.
Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka lost in the quarterfinals only made it easier for Ribs Swiatek to defend her title because in my opinion Coco Gauff in the semifinals or also opponents in the final will not give something special, even I think for the women's section it becomes unattractive, my prediction in the semifinals or maybe in the final we will see Swiatek giving bagels to his opponents or only a score of 6-1 6-1.
In many meetings, Coco Gauff only won once at WTA Master last year and that was not Swiatek's favorite surface.

Interestingly in the Men's, there will be a new champion, and the most awaited semifinal Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz, my prediction player from this draw will have a big chance of becoming a champion.

Iga Świątek as expected won in a straight set against Coco Gauff to reach the finals. I had predicted Julia Avdeeva to win or at least give a competition to Jasmine Paolini but she lost in a straight set. There's no option for any other player to win it except Iga Świątek. The best odds for her is 1.2

Even though Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are higher rated players, I think Casper Ruud would have better chance as clay courts are a bit different than other courts and Casper Ruud has a better record on it. I remember back in time when Rafael Nadal kept winning French Open even though he was not even near to title on other grand slams.

and Paolini got the job done against the Russian teenager Andreeva in two easy sets
6-3 and 6-1. She now faces Swiatek in the final.

The odds suggest Paolini doesnt have much of a chance, 1.05 v 9.00, I kind of agree
with those odds, I dont think she can beat swiatek, unfortunately and possibly
a bet under 17.5 might be a winner too...

Alcaraz v Sinner - most people are favouring Alcaraz, the odds are 1.59 v 2.30, I dont
know what to think about that, my head I suppose says Alcaraz but my heart is with
sinner for sure.

Is it even going to 5 sets I wonder?
This is going to be one of the most exciting match of this event because I was expecting them into final, but sadly we are having them into semifinal with things are pretty interesting and both are having good touch and performance in early matches which is making things form entertaining.

Who is going to winner It's surely not easy to predict but as momentum is going I have feeling this match is going to be ended in fourth or fifth set with Sinner is having good advantage even bookies are favoring Alcaraz like we have in today game with Paolini won which was under-doge in today game and now having final against Swiatek.

in my opinion instead Sinner will have many problems against Alcaraz obviously as an Italian I will support the great Jannik an exceptional boy who in a short time managed to reach the top and become number one in the world it will be difficult because the Spaniard's level of form in my opinion is better than in Sinner looking at the statistics they are in perfect parity every time they have challenged each other the result is 4-4 so it will be a breathtaking match now he must remain calm because it is not easy to be number one in a country like Italy but I am sure that he will do it

With defending champion, Novak Djokovich withdrawing from French Open, we would now have a new winner for French Open as none of the current semifinalist ever had won the title. I guess Casper Rudd is favorite here. Casper Rudd had been particularly impressive on the clay court. He was the runner up on last two french opens. His opponent is Alexander Zverev, who progressed after an intense 5 set struggle. Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz would be a competitive match as both of them are playing good.

Not having too much luck picking winning players (or teams) at the moment - other than the Queensland win in the State of Origin match which finished just as Rybakina was taking to the court. Her opponent sounds like she will be one to watch in the next few years.

My money tonight is on Rybakina, Sabalenka and Gauff - good odds too.

Rybakina lost to Paolini, Sabalenka is up a set but having abdominal pain and trailing in the 2nd set 2:4

Is Gauff playing tonight tho?

and Sabalenka lost to the 17 year old Andreeva!

Two great matches.

Italian Tennis again is in the spotlight with Paolini, she is such a fighter. Both Jasmine
and Elena made a fantastic match with multiple breaks of each other.

And well done to Andreeva for holding her nerve to book a spot in her first GS semi final
against an injured/out of form Sabalenka.

Paolini now faces Andreeva, I would favour Jasmine but she is under dog at 2.15.

Really a shame for Djoko, he came back 2 times in a row to win in 5th set. Seems that even his body is aging after all.
I think he would have won against Ruud - and then it would have been only Zverev between him and another final.

Olympic games are coming soon, I hope he fully recovers. Last time for him and Nadal?

BREAKING: Djokovic pulls out of RG with a knee injury! Which means Sinner is almost guaranteed to take the nr. 1 spot!
With this injury now we can say big three era is almost ended, and we are going to have new players at the top who will go in long run for having fight for the top spots in next few yeas with most chances we will have Sinner and Alcaraz at the top because no other player is having quality and ability to challenge them for the top spots.

yup, he's got it they announced it to him after his win over Dimitrov.

So Djokovic is actually injured . . . my few thoughts

Its a bit tough on Cerundolo that even though he was beaten yesterday, he is actually fitter
to proceed to the quarter final, but yea thats not how it works.

And the age factor is starting to bit on Djokovic and injuries are going to become more
frequent going forward. We may not see him lifting any more GS trophies in the future.

Djokovic was able to get out of the pressure again, but big applause for Cerundolo who put up tough resistance because previously I thought this would be easy for Djokovic, especially in the first set, it looked like there was no resistance that Cerundolo could provide, but Cerundolo's game improved in the second and third sets and the fourth set was like a certainty he will be in the quarter-finals, especially since Djokovic also received treatment twice in the second set due to a knee injury, but again experience taught Djokovic many things to be able to handle pressure. Tomorrow Djokovic will face Ruud, this could be revenge for Ruud who lost in last year's final, especially since he performed very well in the clay season and managed to beat Djokovic in Monte Carlo, and it looks like this is the first time Djokovic is not the favorite even though the odds are not much different from Ruud.

Ah it was unbelievable both in Cerundolo's performance and blunder in the 4th set and Djokovic's
acting and gamesmanship prowess . . . again.

Cerundolo's performance was very good against Djokovic who was "Injured" but the fourth set
was a disaster for him, I believe he lost concentration and possibly nerves when he was serving
to go 5-3 ahead and put himself in position to serve at least for the match but with the distraction
at the other end of the court he lost concentration and got ahead of himself. .  .

but Djokovic broke him and it went 4-4, for me that was the turning point, the odds went to 1.9
v 1.9 at the end of the 4th set!

I dont think I would applaud Djokovic for this win, he was so aggressive towards his box, was giving
out to the umpire about the condition of the court, ended up getting injured and calling the trainer
on after the 3rd set. Every time he made a mistake his "injury" was the visible cause although the
next point he was chasing every ball no problem, especially when he won the point. It was ridiculous.
