Anyone is watching Struff v Statham. Who do you think is going to win? Struff is leading by 4-1 in the first set. May be he is going to break this game too. I am thinking to place a bet for bet for Struff for 2nd set. the rate is not bad. 2/9.

I'm kinda disappointed with Thiem lately. I was hoping he would rise way faster after he defeated Djokovic 3 times in a row - Rome, RG, Monte-Carlo.

This thread has recently blown up with posts which is great to see as at one stage it was just myself, Kemarit and one or two other guys posting in here. I'm really liking Alex de Minaur in the Sydney International to maybe go all the way and win the tournament, he has been playing some very good tennis coming off a very successful 2018 so I think he has a big chance at winning.

Exactly, nice to see this thread come to life again with so many fans and not just fans but offering a lot of tips and analysis of the game. As a have said before, Alex de Minaur is the future of Australian tennis and it will be just a matter of time for him to be the a future Grand Slam winner.

Nadal was in action last night in the fast4 tennis event where he was up against Kyrgios, Nadal ended up losing the match but it gave him a chance to get some fitness up ahead of the Australian Open. It looked like he got through the match okay so hopefully he will be right for the Australian Open, I'm not sure if he will be 100% fit but even at 80% Nadal is a tough person to beat.

Bad sign, it only shows that he is not fully recuperated and might need some time to heal this body. Again, he is not getting any younger, might be another reason why his body is slow to react to rehab or medicine. Might be good for him to take some time off and let his body healed 100%.

Off topic: Glad to see you back on Bitvest campaign.

Its a shame that we won't see a fully fit Nadal for the Australian Open and like you said he might need some more time to get to 100% fitness again. I believe you and I were talking about Nadal in September last year where we both thought that he should of taken the rest of the year off like Murray did but Nadal didn't and re-injured his knee in that tournament which now has set him back a little. Murray looks good from what I have seen in his matches so far but I also don't feel that he is 100% fit either. So Nadal does have a tough decision to make, play in the Australian Open where he isn't fully fit or not play and make sure he is 100% fit and healthy for the French Open.

Novak Djokovic may very well be the man to beat in the Australian Open as this is his most successful Grand Slam event. Or could this be the year we finally see the young talent rise to the top in Grand Slams. Alexander Zverev is racing against time to be fit for the Australian Open after a hamstring injury. Dominic Thiem hasn't been in the best form of late but could finally produce the goods at the Open or could we see the local chances in Alex de Minaur or Nick Kyrgios win the Australian Open? And lets not forget Federer, can he make it 7 Australian Grand Slam titles and make it a hat-trick of titles? Its going to be an interesting Grand Slam that's for sure.

Yes, back then we know that something might blown up specially talking about the case of his body really taking its toll on him. Might be good to really skip this Australian Open and take his time to heal his body. Roger Federer already proved that it can be done and I'm sure that Nadal is looking at that option right now. Me neither, Andy Murray is not yet 100%, might be more of psychological issues though on his part so let's see.

Of course, Novak Djokovic will still be the man, but I know a lot of members will disagree. Most of them thinks that Novak is already old and can't go against the young talent in the roster. But we can't discount the possibility that maybe either Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic still have something to proved in this Australian Open.

Reminder for all of you who are planing to bet this week,  AO is around the corner and some players will tank in their matches in order to stay fresh and healthy for GS. We have two active tournaments: Auckland and Sydney but watch out! AO qualifications already started and it is great heat in Australia, one of the key factors is to come there hydrated, fresh and free of injuries. Be wise with picks this week. good luck

The Polish player is by far the better player here and should win comfortably, he had a very successful season 2018 and he will progress even more in 2019.
You are talking about Hurkacz Hubert? Well looking at his portfolio it's not easy so say.

I did a little search and the stats says that both Wang and Hurkacz are having good time in the recent past. Hurkacz won 6 out of last 10 match where Wang  won 8 out of last 10. Although bookies are keeping Hurkacz ahead. If I follow the odds from the bookies then chances for Hurkacz  to win is high but these bookies are not always right by the way.

Big Rafa Nadal fan here but money is money, I will bet against him at the Australian Open, he will not go deep in my opinion.
I like the attitude and I wish I could be the same LOL

There are number of occasions I bet for my favorite team/player knowing that they have the chance to lose but I could not resist to bet against them. I know it does not make sense but I bet there are hundreds of people like me around.
This is a very human behavior actually Smiley But the thing I love about my favorite players is that I know them very well, because I support them. Another player I usually know when he will lose is Kei Nishikori, of course I am not right every time but I seem to know him so well because he is one my favorites.

Back on topic, if you are looking for odds @ 1.30 for tomorrow on the Challenger tour, go for this one > https://www.tennisexplorer.com/match-detail/?id=1762101

Otherwise, for tomorrow, I love the odds of Diego Schwartzmann @ 1.73 to beat Guillermo Garcia Lopez. The latter is pretty much done as a player, in relative terms, the reason of those odds is probably the fact that the Spaniard has played several matches this season, while Diego Schw. has played none so far. Also, the Argentinean can be inconsistent when he is short of energy (his game requires a lot of energy!) but at these odds 1.73 no brainer for me, I'll play it and hope it hits tomorrow.

Last match of WTA - SINGLES woman Hobart of the first round in play in between Sakkari and Linette. The winner is going to face Minnen in the 2nd round. Both Sakkari and Linette are doing very well. Linette is trying hard to break Sakkari but Sakkari is doing very well. Both of them are enjoying their time.

Match summary for those brothers and sisters who missed the event but have love for tennis:
Rublev easily overpowered Lucas Pouille, whose disappointing recent form continues. Pouille was continually knocked back by the pace of the ball coming at him, with the court playing quite fast in the heat. He found himself down a set and a break before he could get into the match at all, and such a quick first set also didn’t allow time for Rublev to have one of his usual dips. The Russian simply wasn’t missing much though, dominating play with his power and never facing a breakpoint, and Pouille’s lack of a plan B to break that rhythm became painfully apparent. Rublev 21w 12ue; Pouille 11w 23ue. Rublev 6/2 6/3.
Lucas Pouille is now working with Amelie Mauresmo, not sure how it will work out, she should be a good coach and the effects of the teaming won't become apparent straight away anyway, but yes he's been a massive disappointment last twelve months. Cannot believe he made it to the top 10 for a few weeks, taking advantage of weak fields in small events.

Hope Andrey Rublev will deliver this season, even though his game is really one dimensional at the moment.

Frances Tiafoe lost (was a break up in the deciding set twice!).

However, it was a value bet, Pinnacle closing odds were 2.33:

To follow today, I am curious to watch Alex De Minaur versus Reilly Opelka, the two players are polar opposites. Reilly Opelka will try to go to the net the most often he can, but the Aussie is a fantastic defender and still a firm favorite (odds: 1.38). I was a little disappointed with him though last week, thought he could be good enough to counter an old version of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. He has great defense no doubt but needs to get more weapons. I am still convinced he will win at least an ATP title this season.

It was utterly stupid pick (harrison to win against nishioka)... ok the match is finished now and we can see it was routine 1h12min win for Japanese player. You guys didn't do a homework, you need full study before the event.
Cannot deny it was a bad bet. Unfortunately I tend to lose objectivity when Ryan Harrison is in the draw, because I am a fan of him.

I started rooting for Ryan back in 2009 during his close match at the US Open, lost to Sergyi Stakhovsky. It is funny because he lost the match, and since then he keeps losing. Of course not all the time, but he loses a lot of them. Yesterday I won $500 on a parlay where I included high odds (Joao Sousa included), so I thought I would bet $30 to support my guy. Of course it is not the right to bet, but we are humans. I just thought Ryan would put more effort into the match.

I got the autograph of Ryan Harrison when he played in Taipei (I think it was 2014 or 2015). He is a nice guy. In that tournament, he beat a local player very comfortably but then pulled out due to injury. The story of his career.
When I saw him live, his serve did not look that big but that's probably because Sam Groth was playing earlier on.

in Brisbane, even though Ryan lost, I noticed he went for his backhand more. I thought this shot could make the difference against the Patty Schnyder of the mens tour yesterday, but it was a poor day for him. I hope we will see more big wins from Ryan, just like he did in Acapulco a few years ago. He is still very young, I am confident he has a bright future ahead of him. He is an incredible player who can hit the ball with a lot of pace and precision.

For tomorrow, I captured some odds.
Here you go:

I really like his odds @ 2.53.

I am quoting this because Pinnacle odds are now 2.46. We will see if I can beat Pinnacle closing line.

Remember that beating Pinnacle closing line is key to long term success.

Not sure how much he lost but I am sure in his live he will never bet against Nishioka LOL

It was a boring game to watch. There were no excitement. The win was straight 2 - 0 (6-4)(6-2). Harrison only managed to win 2 games in the 2nd set. Who is going to win in between Rublev and Pouille you think to face Nishioka in the 2nd round?
I not going to give free tips anymore! I am sick of doing things for free. Sorry cause I probably sound rude but that's how things work. If you want a detailed analysis of Rublev-Pouille match send $5 worth btc.

We understand that you don't give free tips anymore because you looks like a good tipster to me. I remember you have a thread or something right?

Anyhow, you give us a glimpse of your tennis experienced and your sample tips here are very detailed. Goodluck to you!!! yep, it's a boring match to watch, Harrison had his time, unfortunately, Nishioka was too strong and very quick.

Ops, I had no idea that you do tips for tennis. I was just hanging around. I love tennis, football, cricket, beach volleyball etc types of sports. I used to be a gambling addict but now a days I don't gamble. Last time I was gambling 2 days ago in dice. But lost and this was first time after 5 to 6 years of gambling gap LOL

By the way, I am sure but you will find someone or a group to pay for your tips. If you are really good (which I guess you seems to know) then why don't you create a topic for yourself and run the tipping campaign. I would love to hangout on that topic as well.

When I say extra info I mean it Smiley
 This is about match:
Nishioka produced a good display to beat R. Harrison, in a match that finished at midnight local time. The American found it difficult to compete in the rally with his super-mobile opponent, who made almost no mistakes and covered the court with tremendous energy and discipline. By contrast Harrison was grumpy from the start, moaning to the umpire about the late hour, and after losing the first set went away too easily. “The date has already changed, but I won the Sydney match!” posted Nishioka later. “The match started around 11pm, and it was a long day for me, but I was able to play well.” Nishioka 20w 8ue; R. Harrison 20w 23ue. Nishioka 6/4 6/2.
