Hi newbie here!
I'm so glad people contributed on sharing informations like this.
Around 80 percent of the terms are unknown to me and I totally have no idea what they mean ;(

I'll take some time reading this.
Grateful there are people who are willing to give timecto write such constructive posts.

Hope more of this will come!
It helps newbies alot

I somehow just figured today what AFAIK meant.

BitCoin is amazing in all aspects.

Don't feel bad, I was out of college for at least two years before I realized that FTW wasn't 'F*** the What?'

Sometimes it just takes a while.

First of all, thank for the post, I really had no idea on how to go about this. Especially as the interface on blockchain.info changed into the new one.
Found it much easier to do after reading this thread.
Thanks!

Very helpful and great source of info all in one place and it's not just for noobs. Noobs benefit most from it but it helps mid range members brush up too. Thanks for putting this together I can see this is s huge calaberation of effort went into this. There should be a way to reward people for this. Yes the trust system but that is for trust. They should really get rid f the trust system and change it to like a karma system. People focus on the bad far too much.

Thank you for compiling the terminology list for new members.  I'm familiar with most as I have been researching and investing in Bitcoin for awhile; however, I am continuously adding to my knowledge about the cryptocurrency environment and this list is very helpful.

As a rookie, i am confused and overwhelmed with this terminology right now. I think it will take a very long time to understand all of them properly. Thanks a lot mate! Now it's my turn to payback with being a curious and enthusiastic member.

Wow that was a long read.  Worth it, but long.   Most posts make sense however now i have to use my judgement when I see Proof of stake and piece of shit.  When dealing with alt coins (I'm getting the hang of it already  Grin) the short form POS appears often.

Just stumbled on to this now.
Wish I had this thread earlier so I could just quickly check the term used in a post instead of asking some one looking like a noob. Lips sealed
This is a good resource for one not too familiar with some of the forum speak. Wink

Not sure if you're still maintaining this, but

Bitcointalk: "alt" seems to be commonly used by itself (i.e. not paired with another word like "altcoin") to mean an alt account (btw does anyone know if the full form is "alternative account" or "alternate account"?)

Also requesting "consensus" to be added. Not entirely sure about its definition, but I see the word being used a lot in bitcoin discussions.
