LOL
People started reporting from this thread too and mods are deleting them? This is very poor justification. I will again say the mods are not setting any standard here. Shame.

back to the test match, we are going to see a result today. the match is on for both team but I will keep England ahead. It's third day and pitch will have cracks so batting is not going to be easy for Irish.

By the way, Malinga's last match : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.51955687

And i noticed you quoted other guy as well with your deleted post. his post is deleted and automatically your post get deleted with him.
This is BS theory from the mod in meta. So say,

post one, very good content
post two, off topic
post three, very good content with off topic response
post four, very good content to response on topic post three
post five, very good content to response on topic post three
post six, very good content to response on topic post four

According to this BS theory, 2nd post get deleted so post three, four, five, six also gets deleted. Then let's stop making any conversations. Sick theory indeed.

I assume whoever is the mod here has very less knowledge of what he is doing. He is just relying on the reporter whoever it is. If you are too much dependent on that repoter then retire from your job and give it to that reporter. He deservs the money you are taking from the forum fund.

@haunebu : it's very clear that other poster is not making any sense and clearly a signature spam. If someone reports his post then your reply will be delete along with his posts. Recently happened with pffrt, royce and me where someone deliberately reported pffrt posts in cricketing thread.

So make sure you are not quoting any useless comment  in cricketing thread.

@haunebu : guess you missed this post?

I already stopped quoting and replying anyone who is not regular in cricket thread and who post once in a while for signature spam and don't follow the existing conversation.

And i noticed you quoted other guy as well with your deleted post. his post is deleted and automatically your post get deleted with him.

For some reason, some of my quality posts recently got deleted which has left me perplexed. What is going on in this forum these days? I had around 3 posts deleted in last couple of weeks.

Example of a post that got deleted:

Fun Fact : out of 11 players, 9 Irish player are British born.
I remember reading this some where, can't find the source though.

Damn. Not surprising at all though. Morgan himself is an Irish citizen and he is the first captain to have successfully led England to World Cup glory. Its pretty smart of England to recruit such talented individuals and unite them under a single nation.

England now trail by 122 runs and 10 wicket remaining . Ireland is all out for 207. Can Ireland win this test match by a inning or will they have to bat second. I think England will come back strongly and put up a big total and quite possible that they could even beat Ireland by some runs if somebody make a century from England team.
Doubt it. The max that England can hope for at this point I believe is a draw. They need to post a huge score if they wish to win this one against a quality Irish bowling attack.

How in the world is this post off topic or spammy? It seems someone is targeting the Cricket threads a lot these days and is clearly doing a bad job of reporting posts and the moderator involved is actually agreeing with the reports. Are any of you guys facing similar issues? If you are, some serious improvements are required in this aspect of this forum.

200 must be achievable for IRELAND. It's 3rd day only and pitch is still in good mode. But, yesterday's rain main affect sognificantly. England has changed their game plan totally after they were packed with 85 runs. They planned to play aggresive and add some runs in the board which they achieved. Otherwise, it would be more easy for Ireland.
It is not an easy task to score 200 runs in the fourth innings as i expect the ball to turn and the ball might not reach the bat because of the rain, if Ireland can play some incredible cricket then they can rewrite history and win a test match against a top team like England, one of the worst performance by England in their history and it is not a good sign leading to the Ashes.

I'm glad that you created this thread! Test format deserved a separate thread for the discussion. Good work, Royse!
Appreciate it bud.

Back to the Test match, England has 181 runs lead and they still have 1 wicket remaining. Tomorrow morning if they do not add anymore run still I think they will win this test. My expectation was to give Irish 150ish runs target but here we already have 181.

Who would have thought that a Test between Ireland and England will be that close :-P

I believe prediction for test matches are really not needed at all because most of the matches are ends in Draw or if that is winning kind moment goes also it will be one-sided match.
When the situation is like that. Do we need prediction thread for test cricket?
However, good luck for your attempt to organise cricket lovers more closely Smiley

Again rain is playing with this tournament like last the world cup. Anyway, 2nd innings of England is a little bit of helpful for England because they are already leading 181 runs in 9 wickets. One wicket is remaining.  So another few runs will be came from the last wicket. So I think 200 more runs will be good for fighting.

Ireland got a great team of bowlers who managed to slow down England batsmen else with 1 wicket down, they were looking to get over 300 runs but now they are struggling to get 280. Only 3 wickets to take and then Ireland can easily win this match with about 150-160 to chase down.

If England lose this match, they'll say Ireland have great bowlers Cheesy

Looking at the seam movement and bounce, I would say that even 150 is going to be difficult for Ireland. But we are not done with the England innings yet. Broad and Curran are good batsmen, and if they build a partnership, then they will be able to rescue the team from trouble. But disturbingly, none of the English batsmen has shown any patience or determination to stay at the crease. They seems to be in T20 mode.
This partnership really hurting Ireland 43 runs in just 5 overs can kill Irish dream if these two stay for more 3 or 4 overs then all damage will be done Curran is on fire 36 from 24 balls.

6th gone and England is leading by 113 runs only. The match is now having some more interest. Root is fighting hardly, if Ireland can manage him, target will not be more than 200 I think. This is a big chance for them.

7th gone and England leading by 117 runs. If Ireland can restrict the Brits to a lead of less than 150, then they will be having the advantage. However, any score above that will be very difficult under the current circumstances. Woakes can bat, and Sam Curran is not really a tail ender. So hope is still not lost for England. What they need to do is to bat patiently.

This match just keeps swinging here and there with no clear winner yet. Who would have expected Ireland to give England such a tough fight especially after they won the World Cup recently?

This is pure entertainment people. If England does not post something close to 200, I am confident that they will lose this match most likely.

Now this test enter in very interesting situation as England 70 on board and 4 wickets down Bairstow and Root on crease so any result can happen because with three quick wickets Ireland bowling and fielders feeling some good one more wicket and England in some deep trouble.

Bairstow gone now England feeling pressure even Root is still on but now they are in danger

That's a beauty of test cricket. At one time England was looking very strong, but a couple of wickets including bad call of Joe Root with running out his partner messed things for England.

Half team already in dugout and inning's lead still in 2 figures, Joe Root need to play captain's inning here.

Two has been down but I'm wondering Jack Leach is going to have a century who was only sent yesterday to complete the day without losing an important wicket. This match is really interesting. May be England will get more than 350 easily from this situation.

3 gone now. Murtagh back in action and now with two new batsmen on the crease, they will again need time to settle down and get runs. A 70-80 run partnership is required now to get a score above 300 else they will all tumble before putting up even 200 runs on the board.

I still feel they will easily cross 300 at this rate and put up a score that Ireland may not be able to chase. The batsmen have settled in so they will be batting till the end of this day. If Ireland don't manage to take 2-3 wickets before England reach 200, it will be very tough for them tomorrow.

Well I will blame England for their stupidity in the first innings. They must be taking Irish bowlers very lightly and they paid for it. Now are are seeing the real England and hopefully they will win this test. They need to get some confidence before Ashes if they want to perform good against Australia.
They played like West Indies during their 1st innings, but this turn around at the moment is awesome. Roy is on a roll again and he can take the game away on his own if he continues playing like this.

With many capable batsmen remaining, I think this is England's game all the way now. What a surprising turn of events.
