Sri Lanka scored so high score in the fist innings that New Zealand can’t chase in both of the innings. Sri Lanka home ground was lucky for them, they won on their home grass. Kamindu Mendis made 182 runs that allow his team to win the game and due to his performance, was named as the player of the match. After seeing the first innings of New Zealand team no one can even say New Zealand would chase this high target. What a win by Sri Lanka.

As a cricket fan, it really disappoints me when there's no play on day 3! It's understandable to lose time because of rain, but losing game time due to poor facilities or bad local management is frustrating. There hasn't been any rain since around 8am, but the Kanpur Stadium management failed get the field dry. A draw seems almost certain now.

Another day went by and stumps in the match between India and Bangladesh. I think this match is going to draw as just 2 days left and in two days, we can’t see 4 innings. It is the last test match of this series, later here will be the T20 series between them.

It was raining on the first day as well.
It rained on the second day too.
It rained on the third day as well.

There are only two days left, these two days are likely to rain, which means that Bangladesh will not be able to bat in this Test. The good thing is that Bangladesh will not have to bat anymore and there is no possibility of playing in these two days. Second Test will be abandoned due to bad weather i.e. Bangladesh lost the first Test hence series to India.
There is no possibility of the match being a draw rather it will be abandoned especially only one session i.e. Bangladesh has batted till 35 overs in this case due to lack of light and weather there has not been a single ball so the match will be abandoned.

The second Test match between Bangladesh and India is still uncertain as the two-day game was abandoned due to rain on the second and third day. Earlier we saw that the Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand was abandoned due to rain which was played on Indian soil. Similarly, we are going to see the same thing in the Test match between Bangladesh and India, but this Test match was played on the first day but the next two days were not played.

So looking at the batting line, the weakness of the New Zealand team can be found, because every batsman in the New Zealand team has performed badly in this Test match, even though they have experience in the past.
