As New Zealand performed well in their first innings and scored runs, they completely failed in the second innings. A batsman, Rachin Ravindra played an innings of 92 runs but no one could offer a good partnership with him. A good partnership in Test cricket would definitely have made the match a win for New Zealand but New Zealand failed to form a good partnership in that regard. However, Sri Lanka's bowling action has been reasonably good and has been able to pick up wickets when they are needed, which is why Sri Lanka have managed to win the Test match.

First test match of New Zealand touring to Sri Lanka competition was finished today with unexpected outcome and Sri Lanka squad defeated New Zealand squad in home ground and their squad has good advantage. Am really impressed with India. Rohit is doing a fantastic job as the test captain and I feel like they are pretty much in the WTC final at the rate at which they are going though I hope they end up winning this one at least.

Australia, NZ, Sri Lanka and South Africa seem to have the best chances for the remaining slot in the final. Let's see who will end up in the final.

Australia and India are likely to be in WTC again because those two teams are capable of winning the away games which plays the crucial points and I thought NZ was doing good but they let SL to score more than they should and lost the match there. After this NZ got test series in India which could also be ended one sided match cause we know how strong the team India in test ear not since Rohit but for almost a decade.

New Zealand did not perform as well in the second innings as they did in the first innings. If two more batsmen like Rachin Ravindra could have played a good innings, New Zealand might have had a 100% chance of winning but no one could form a long partnership with him.

As Rachin Ravindra remained unbeaten at one end but at the other end if any batsman could have made a long unbeaten partnership then New Zealand could have won this match.
A 56-run partnership with Tom Blundell, if any other player could have put together a partnership or two like that, New Zealand would have won and I would have won the bet in the end. I also lost the bet to lose the New Zealand match.
