There is no doubt that the West Indies bowlers have done very well. Especially Jayden Seales bowled well in both innings. Jayden Seales picked up 9 wickets in two innings. And Joseph took 5 wickets in the first innings. Due to the controlled bowling of these two bowlers, the South African batsmen cannot provide a big target. South Africa lost all the wickets in the first innings to collect only 160 runs.

While the West Indies bowlers did well, the performance of the West Indies batsmen was erratic as usual. And West Indies' only weakness in the Test format is erratic batting by the batsmen. This match was no exception. The West Indies team lost because the West Indies batsmen could not bat well.

West Indies lost by 40 odd runs and could not move past the winning line in this match where they had the things under their control. I wonder if West Indies can't win this easy test match, what will be their future Huh

If we see their batting, seems like all of them very in a hurry to make runs and got out. No one tried to stay on the wicket and take the innings forward. Four or five of their batsmen were out in their 20s. Meaning they settled in, got a start but did not have the focus and plan on how to chase this target. One big partnership could have sealed the match for West Indies but all the credit goes to South Africa's bowlers for not letting the WI play freely.

Although the first test match was a draw, the results of the second match were obtained with two days left. When South Africa went into bat on the third day, it looked like they would take a 300+ lead, but Jayden Seales' controlled bowling South Africa lose wickets at a rapid and eventually set a target of 262 runs. The failure of the West Indies' middle order to perform meant the match was out of hand for them, with a promising seventh-wicket partnership of 77 but West Indies' second innings collapsed for 222 runs. Both innings South Africa bowlers has shown a strong performance, as a result of which South Africa won the two-match series 1-0 in the second test.

In the first innings South Africa cricket team scored 16 runs more than West Indies and they also collected 24 runs more than West Indies in the second innings. Basically, this few runs difference for the victory is created in front of the West Indies cricket team. The West Indies may not have had much of a run target in front of them but they failed to muster a run. Mainly due to the lack of proper performance from their batsmen, I have not seen anyone from the West Indies team who has been able to extend their innings.

The first test match between South Africa vs West Indies was a draw but the second Test match was won by South Africa. The way the bowlers have benefited in this Test match and the way the runs have been matched in four innings, this kind of play does not really go well with Test cricket. South Africa batted in the first two innings and scored only 406 runs in two innings and West Indies did not succeed in chasing this 406 runs. Test cricket is a 5 day game so there should be wickets built so that batsmen can bat for five days and both teams can score well but we didn't see that in this test match. I would expect wickets to behave in T20 series as it was in Test match because we want to see great batting in T20.

And now that match is finished and like everyone expecting now the South Africa has won this test match. That was surprising but I appreciate the bowling of Jayden Seales from West Indies. He collected 6 wickets in the second inning. Well overall the South African team performance was good. West Indies tried well in the second inning but unfortunately they lost by 40 runs. Congratulations to South Africa.

At the start of this series, I was under the impression that the Windies were on a South Africa tour but then realized it's a home series for the Windies.

Usually, they compete well at home against SENA countries but this series going only in one direction and many could argue that it's a new low because Proteas is not a good touring team, it's true for everyone (Barring Aus and Ind).

As far as the last recognized batter's (Joshua) dismissal is concerned, luck didn't favor the Windies as well but they should've batted well in the first inning. Things could've been interesting if they needed 40 odd runs but chasing 70 runs with tailender batting sounds a bit too much.
