I don't think so and I think these formats will continue in the future . You are only sharing the point of view on the basis of money. Yes, in this this perspective you are right because most leagues like IPL ,PSL ,BBL are earning good from these leagues. But ODI and test matches are burden on country economy. That should be change but no team will play T20 matches whole the year. So they will take break and then they will change format. In this way ,they can be relax .

ICC World Cup are not earning good but most of the premier leagues especially IPL is best for earning good. Most International players play cricket in IPL as comparison to play for team because IPL pays more money than International matches.

Yeah, i am aware of the financial dynamics and back door deals. My overall point is that since 2021, we have 4 WCs ( 3 T-20 WCs and 1 ODI WC), then add 2 WTC finals as well. That's 6 ICC finals in just 4 years.

Can understand WTC because it's 2 year cycle and they added the final just to keep things interesting in the test cricket. ODI WC comes every 4 years, which is good but the T-20 WC is becoming a joke IMO and to make things worse they are also squeezing CT, atm it's ODI format but you never know if they turn this into another T-20 mini WC.

Well, Tbh I am okay with the ODI format but I hate bilateral be it T-20 or ODI. I'd prefer a trilateral or quadrilateral series instead of a useless bilateral.

Most of the time we are having right decisions on right time by the Australians with as we are still talking about these formats and things which are going to be stayed here as headache for long time is created by ICC because their think thank is not worthy about this game and having any positive ideas as well which can bring innovative ideas for the game and having improved fan base and entertainment.

T20 World Cup needs to be had gap of 2 or 3 years with all other ICC events needs to be stopped and with this need to work on test format if possible because for me now they are late and already lost their chance about this format for having better things so going with 5 or 6 teams are ok and allow all countries to have teams just for T20 and also work on their domestic leagues which bring the best talent and also give them some revenue for development of the game as most chances ODI format is almost going to end till 2031.

I used the word BIG-3 in the context of overall domination.

But in recent times financial domination has changed drastically and tilted towards BCCI but narrative building power remains in the Anglo sphere, specifically ECB. They set all the narratives.

There is no conspiracy against subcontinent teams, all they need to be a little competitive against big teams, that's what drives the market, at least in profitable markets if not at home.

With the current situation here in subcontinent I am not hopeful about their future into test format because this is not profitable for them just India is having few advantages, and they are enjoying with this all others are having nothing to do with this which is the problem for them and mostly are now trying to have their stakes into T20I which is future.

^^ Associate nations playing Test cricket will remain a pipe dream for everyone. I reckon it's not even on the top 20 priority list of ICC.

Their main worry would be how to strengthen existing test playing nations. There is a reason NZ, SA, etc play fewer tests when compared to BIG-3.

you are explaining good. Test format cricket is a real cricket and we should work for test cricket. ICC should should provide opportunities to the lower teams ,in this way ,they will get a chance to play cricket against big teams. We have seen the same teams a lot of times but ICC should change criteria. Zimbabwe, Ireland, Netherland, Nepal should play test matches against big teams. Most probably,Change in test cricket will happen . May be we will get a new champion because of changing the strategy of ICC but that is not easy step for ICC . ICC should focus on that point and they should analyse the all teams stat whole the world. In this way , quality of cricket will increase.

I am not expecting any change in red-ball format with things are going challenging for the associate countries because they are having no sources and ICC is also not helpful like we have many other sports associations working for the promotion of games most chances we will have cut in this format with more teams will be lost quality and performance which will bring decline in fan base and also interest from few countries.
Currently, just 4 or 5 countries are having good things, and they can survive in this format which is clearly looking and ODI is also on verge of death with jut T20i is future which will increase revenues and popularity with many new countries could be able to have something positive from this format.

IMO you are expecting too much, these boards hardly tour full member nations like Bangladesh etc and are not interested in hosting them. So what makes you think that they will facilitate tests matches against associates?

In every cycle, the likes of Sri Lanka, Windies or Bangladesh are also hunting for BIG-3 quota because of financial reasons and for the same reason, these weaker boards can't entertain Zimbabwe or Associates.

Afghanistan should focus on their weaknesses,they are aggressive players which are not suitable for test cricket. They only hit sixes and fours but test cricket is a game of patience and they have to stay on the pitch to win this match.

That's why they are unsuccessful in test cricket. They are playing good in T20 match but actual cricket is test cricket.They should improve their skills to stay on Wicket, otherwise there is no chance of their success in test matches.
