Babar-Abdullah Shafique duo pulling their version of Dravid-Laxman here against same opponent Australia. If they successfully chase down this mammoth total or pull out draw from this situation then this would dent Australia's reputation and ego and increase Pakistan's stature more in the Test cricket. We shouldn't forget that in recent time Australian team failed to close the game when opponent bats in 4th inning.

3 recent iconic test match, where Aussie failed royally
- Headingley test against England, English were 9 down (Ben stokes).
- SCG test against India, 2 injured batter Vihari-Ashwin pulled off great escape
- Gaba test against India, well everyone knows what happened there.

- Karachi - Huh Result in progress

Karachi test is very much dependent on Pakistan current partnership between Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam. Right now every Pakistani wanna see dots balls from both those batsmen, shafique has scored 71 runs but it took him 226 balls to reach there.
Pakistan will definitely like to draw this game as they won't change target of 500 runs. Let's see who achieve his target.

If Pakistan wants to draw this match then Babar Azam must play well today. And they have to survive at the crease. If Babar Azam is out today, I don't think there is any other player who has the experience to build a big partnership or a big innings. Mohammad Rizwan is quite experienced. If Baabar Azam and Rizwan can form a big pair then maybe Pakistan will escape the shame of defeat. However, the chances are low. Australian bowlers are experienced.

Babar Azam is playing well. He is collaborating with Abdullah Shafique. Both are collecting over 50. Shafique's batting is fascinating to me. He is playing great. Looking at the batting of these two batsmen, it seems that Pakistan will do well in this match. Because now the game of the third session is going on. Pakistan scored 119 runs. They need 387 runs to win. If Pakistan does not lose any wicket today, then Australia will lose this match.
Captain Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafique got their test fifties as Pakistan hold strongly their ground without losing wickets. It's a nice come back, they need another 350 runs to win. The problem is their intention to beat Australia or just save the defeat against Australia. The pitch still batting friendly and Pakistan have the ability to do surprise us. Hope both batters avoid the unnecessary shots.
So the dead pitch is showing some life  Smiley. I think it's the spirit and focus which make the ball moving. But Babar Azam has always pulled Pakistan out from difficult situation. But as majority is authority - this match seems to end in draw. Aussie are always is great spirit they make sure to give their best whatsoever is the situation. Not to forget here Aussie Women cricket team. They are extraordinary people with extra ordinary skills.

Babar Azam has reached his hundred. He is playing really well along with Abdullah Shafiq who is on 71 not out. I am not that many people might say I am daydreaming but I think it is possible for Pakistan to win this match if they can survive the first session tomorrow.

But, I am not sure that Pakistan will go for the win because a draw seems to be a more logical result for Pakistan and if they do go for the win they might actually lose the match.

The day was very good for Pakistan. We probably didn't expect to see such a score at the end of the day. Australia gave a huge target of 506 runs. And Pakistan lost two wickets very quickly after batting. We thought maybe Pakistan would lose all the wickets in 200. But to everyone's surprise, at the end of the fourth day, Pakistan's collection was 192.
You are right. Much will depend on the first session. If Pakistan is in control of the first session. Then they will win the match. Because they need only 314 runs to win. If they can bat all day, they will easily win.

Pakistan scored 100 runs. And they did not lose any more wickets. Babar Azam was unbeaten on 43 and Abdullah Shafique was unbeaten on 44. The interesting thing is that Shafique has scored 44 runs off 131 balls. He is playing great. The match will be completely under Pakistan's control the next day as long as the pair can last. Then there are talented players like Rizwan and Hasan Ali.
Pakistan still need 400+ more to win this test match.Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafiq playing good cricket and Between partnership running 83+.If both batsman do well then i think it will be good for Pakistan team. But australian bowling site rally good.I hope this test mach will be draw to end.

There is a good chance that this match will be drawn or Pakisthan will win. Pakistan is still trailing by 396 runs. However, in the first Test match, Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haque were unbeaten with a partnership of 252 runs. Shafique is a very experienced player for the Test format. So as long as Shafique and Babar Azam are at the crease, Pakistan will be hoping to draw the match. If these two players are out, control of the match will again go to Australia.
Pakistani are very hospitable  Smiley they don't like disappointing their guests and don't want to give their guests hard time, so that they return home with good memories. Maybe one of the reason they are taking it light. Cry But blaming the pitch is not the right option - Aussie are good with dead pitch as well. The spirit comes from within.

I was shocked to see Pakistan batting. When Australia batted, I thought it was a batting pitch. But looking at Pakistan's batting disaster, it seems that bowling is a helpful pitch. However, I still think that Pakshithan will try his best to draw the match. If Australia bat for two sessions tomorrow, I think the match will be a draw.
May be the pitch slowed down or uneven bounce when Pakistan was batting, it is true that batting looked hard when Pakistan was batting, may be Australia was bowling really well. Usman Khawaja batted really well and Alex Carey and Steven Smith scored a half century even in the Australian innings and if anyone could build a partnership Pakistan would have been in a better position.
It seems to me now that they are to blame for Pakistan's poor batting. The pitch was good enough. And the Australian bowlers are really bowling very well. I blame the Pakistani batsmen because they lost their first wicket with just 2 runs in the second innings. Imam-Ul-Haque returned to the dressing room with just 1 run. Australia will definitely win this match. It doesn't look like Pakistan's batsmen will be able to survive 6 sessions.
However, Australia has given a huge target of 506. Even if this match is a draw, I will not be surprised at all. Because I saw Pakistan batting in the first Test. In the first Test, Pakistan lost only 4 wickets for 476 runs, in the second innings, they scored 252 runs without losing a wicket. This means that their players have the ability to form big partnerships. Pakisthan will be able to take control of the match only if they can build the same big partnership. Although it is difficult, but not impossible.
There is a mountain Pakistan needs to climb before lunch time on the fourth day. In the afternoon session, Australia lost an early wicket, and Pakistan are now 38/2! It is the adverse consequences of the defensive approach, to play positive cricket, but these Pakistani players have no intention of winning. Pakistan can be saved by slow batting. It is time for Pakistani batsmen to function normally. Whenever you feel too much pressure and play too defensively, your reflexes are slowed down a bit. You can't compete with a quality bowler for very long. Australia needs just eight more wickets.

Pat Cummins have an alternate plan.
Now individuals who were cursing on pitch and saying another draw then just confused looking at the batting collapse of Pakistani batters. I'm happy to see some excitement in this test series. Pakistan got all-out just in 148 runs, gives a flavor so there's something worth watching.

Innings defeat is waiting for Pakistan. Not just the pitches, it's the mentality and approach of Pakistani team is totally disgusting. Is it conceivable by this way pitch receives good impression?
It can be either way around, may be pitch is good for bowlers but Australia batsmen really played well. Nauman Ali has got fair amount of turn in the firt innings and from that I guess that pitch has something for bowlers which Australians bowlers took full advantage. Pakistan survived innings defeat but still they will face huge defeat
Very professional and spirited performance from Australian first in batting then in bowling they completely destroy Pakistani batting line up with their quality bowling Starc and Debutant Swepson's magical spells done good work for Australia no Pakistani batsman has any reply of this quality bowling and lost their wickets like crap on a batting wicket where Australian batting line up give them huge task.

Now Australia having 81/1 in second inning with most chances they will play first session and then give batting to Pakistan where they need to chase the biggest impossible target and avoid this sure defeat which is just because of PCB's poor working and management because they were preparing flat pitches, but now these are also going against them.

I agree that it’s not about the pitch it’s about the approach and Australian player’s applied the correct approach, and I think that they’ll declare pretty soon so that their bowler’s can have enough overs to bowl out Pakistan player’s. Lastly I doubt that Pakistan can draw this match, because Australian bowler's were on a roll and hence I sincerely doubt that team Pakistan can last for long when they come into bat against them.

India should try to regain there form first since they are not in very good form as evident from there performance in T20 WC and then SA tour. They have perfomed good againest WI and SL at home but that doesnt mean they are now in s position to beat teams like Aus.
Australia are in a mood to destroy Pakistan at there home as they are 489 runs ahead in there 2nd innings. Aus are capable of performing good at every ground not just there home.
Agreed. India has been performing well against weaker teams, but they need to prove themselves by performance well against tough teams like Australia across all formats.

I didn't expect them to decimate Pakistan in the 2nd test though the test hasn't concluded yet. They performed really well without Hazlewood and Khawaja has been brilliant so far. Excited to see top teams like India and Aus clash soon.
