I think actually Pakistan did this on purpose because they knew they did not have the right bowling combination or good enough bowling power to stop Australia. So they just made a pitch for batting and went for the draw. Good thinking, not a very brave one but good.

In India versus Sri Lanka match India just showed who is in charge and won the match by 222 runs and innings. Actually, I expected India to win but I did not expect Sri Lanka to play this poorly.

A huge win for India, they won by an innings and 222 runs against Sri Lanka. Ravindra Jadeja the star performer with his 175 runs and nine wickets. The test match finishing off with under 3 days. This match would be remarkable for many many reasons, Kohli's 100th match and Rohit's captaincy beginning. The next test is the pink ball test at Bengaluru, hope it's more exciting to watch than this one.

Pakistan must learn from India on how to make pitches. In India, pitches not only support Indian batting but also have enough space left for bowlers. See current match of India SL, India scored 574 runs and was also able to outclass SL in bowling. Though Australia can't be compared with SL as they are one of strongest team in test but still Rawalpindi test is boring mainly because of pitch.

Look like India will win this test today by taking 3 more wickets. 21 overs still remaining in the day and the india team is just three wickets away from the win. Australia is batting at a good run rate and looks like they will also post a huge total and the match will be a draw as the pitch is not helping the bowlers which is a bit disappointing. I expected the pitch to help the spinners but nothing much assist till now and Pakistan is yet to pick a wicket.

The match might be drawn. It is an unbelievable slow pitch, so the question is whether Pakistan can bowl out Australia when Pakistan scored 476 and Australia has a much stronger team. The Aussies blame the pitch. It is true that pitches are slow, but in the subcontinent they needs to adopt a new bowling method.

The only way pakistan can win this match is by taking early wickets in the first session today and putting pressure on Australians. However, this does not seem to be happening at the moment as Australians have survived the early spell from shaheen Afridi and are 56 for no wicket loss.

I can see this test match moving towards a draw unless we see some magical bowling spell from any of the pakistani bowlers today.

^^ This is turning out to be humiliation for Sri Lanka, at one time Nissanka-Asalanka were looking good, although they rode their luck but after Asalanka's wicket everything went down the hill for SL. We don't see many follow-on nowadays but here we are.

India is in a comfortable position to win this match. Srilanka is all out for 174 runs in their first innings they now trail by 400 runs and it is now not possible for them to chase those runs. 3rd day play just started and Australia are 10/0. Pakistan need to bowl out Australia today if they wanna win this game. If Australia can survive today's play then most probably we will have a draw. Usman khawaja a Pakistani born Australian Cricketer is opening for Australia.

SL on day 3 still trail by 413 runs with 5 wickets in hand. It's very much India game.

Anyways, you are right pitch isn't good for bowlers at all, before the match I thought spinners could enjoy the game while pacers obviously would struggle, but even spinners haven't really got any juice out of the pitch. Now it will be interesting to see Aussie batting, if they also are able to bat this easily just like Pak did, obviously match would end as a draw, but with an older pitch if the Pakistani Spinners can do some magic, the match will be an easy win for Pakistan without even coming to bat again. Even though both the Pakistani Spinners don't have much experience so it will be interesting to see how they play this high pressure match with Aussies.

Why is security always been a concern while playing in Pakistan? Do you think the tight security and threats to the player doesn't make players conscious? It does, even Aussie players got threats to call off the match and return back to their county like NZ team. I saw a video in which people chatting slogans during Pakistan and NZ match - why were they shouting "security" when it has nothing to do with cricket.
