Fawad Alam may score another test century today, almost one month after doing the same against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui. Nice to see at least one player other than Babar Azam scoring the runs. Their bowlers performed well during the first innings. So if they can get the lead to 100-150, then there is a very good chance of Pakistan winning the match. And that will enable Pakistan to promote themselves to the 5th position in the ICC World Test Championship points table.

I don't think they will go with Saha. There is no place in the squad for Saha now. Pant has proved himself enough in batting and with wicketkeeping he ain't that bad a keeper. Today first day very interesting as 14 wickets and just 253 runs mean bowling heaven first two sessions completely controlled by Pakistan but South Africa fight back in last one hours hopefull this will ends in four day with result which is good both teams have equal chance to win this match but South Africa with some advantage as Pakistan have to bat in last inning which is never been good for them.

I think Indian pacers wouldn't play a big role in the series it's the spinners who would make the most out of this series. Many are forgetting that we are back into the subcontinent now. The ball doesn't bounce here like Australia. It's the turn of the pitches that can give India the added advantage. It would be interesting to see performance of pacers here as they might not get the extra help from the pitch here. Ashwin/ Sundar on the other hand will be the key for India to win the series. Even in front of Sri Lanka we saw English batsmen struggling to play against Lasith Enbuldeniya but playing pacers quite comfortably. It's going to be a high scoring series. Ashwin-Sundar-Kuldeep trio could create havoc in English camp, i think they should go with this trio. On the other hand its a weakest English bowling line up i have ever seen in this decade but Indian team shouldn't underestimate them, they have a long history of throwing wickets against spinners. For Poms Moin Ali would be key.

India is most likely to go with two pacers and two spinners, in additional to a bowling all rounder (Jadeja or Sundar). And regarding the English bowlers, both their pacers and spinners seems to be in very good form. James Anderson and Stuart Broad are quite experienced and they know the Indian conditions, while spinners such as Dom Bess and Jack Leach are in excellent form.
If Saha is playing then may be 4 bowlers-6 batsmen combination. If not then Pant will keep the gloves, in that case we could expect 5 bowler combination, which is very handy in subcontinent and India never play with more than 6 specialist batsmen when in India.
I have a feeling that 5 bowlers may be needed. Indian tracks are quite flat and with Joe Root in excellent form, we can expect England to bat for more than 100 overs in each innings. The pace bowlers may get tired in the hot and humid conditions and therefore the spinners are expected to share most of the workload. Going with Ashwin/Sundar/Kuldeep seems to be a good option.

Sri Lanka is playing in their own grounds and they cannot field a competitive team to face England while the England spinners took advantage and took all the wickets while Sri Lanka struggled in the trap they set for England is a much bigger shame and England proved they are a world class team and could defeat teams in Asia. Lack of experience and not ready to stay on pitch for longer time results in this. Like considering the first innings played by SL many of us were impressed and hoping to continue and put a good fight in the match.
The biggest challenge is the tour to India and it will be really competitive.
The match is heading towards a draw until Sri Lanka decides to hit some runs in ODI style and ask England to bat on last day.
But the question is do Sri Lanka team have balls to do what Former Australian team used to do?
Today we are in fourth day and we are going to have result because what a bowling from English Spinners duo Leach and Bess takes 4 wickets each and bring back England in business now they need 164 runs to win this second test and series even its very good target to chase but I am feeling Englaind can achieve this right now its very good prepartion for them before very long tour of India as Root is on fire with good bowling from Anderson Leach and Bess.But the question is do Sri Lanka team have balls to do what Former Australian team used to do?

Lasith Embuldeniya is bowling well and picking up wickets but Sri Lanka is not having the score on board to win the match. England just need 51 more runs to win the Test with 6 wickets in hand, if he can spin his magic he needs to pick up an hat trick and expose the tail end players to win the match which is highly unlikely. If Muttiah Muralitharan was in the team they would have already won the match Lasith Embuldeniya picked his 8th wicket of the match and if he can spin his magic we might see them win.
