Here are the contribution terms

https://tezos.ch/pages/contribution-terms.html#contribution-terms

The part that confuses me is section 3 states that if you contribute, you aren't guaranteed any XTZ. I thought that is exactly what you are supposed to get when investing BTC or ETH to their crowdsale?

looks like they closed down their slack

Quote
Dear all,

Despite using the most restrictive settings for our Slack channel (a discussion website which was being run for the Tezos community) scammers were able to take advantage of the unrestricted webhook functionality to trigger Slackbot into contacting every slack member with a phishing URL.

The safest option for us, at this point, was to shut down the Slack channel completely. We imported the email addresses of Slack participants into this mailing list so they could be informed. We will resurrect a channel in the future, hosted directly on tezos.com.

In the meantime, as a reminder, always access the tezos.com website by typing in tezos.com directly in your browser. Do not follow links, even if they look like they point to tezos.com or if they look like they came from the Tezos team.

really? where can i find the part of 0.1btc minimum investment?

I believe it is in the video where they show you how to create the wallet and send in the initial investment.

Here, I think it says it in the 1st video in the below link:

Is tezos.ch the site? I went to  https://crowdfund.tezos.com and it also redirect me to tezos.ch

When all eyes are on an ico, it's probably not a bargain. I think I will buy it when it crashes to 1/4 ico price next year.

uncapped ico... they try to get as much as possible, also locked for a period of time. technically their stuff is like an evolving network, not really attractive. Almost the same as some AI stuff. I'll pass.

I watched the little mini video on the launch of the ICO.  It appears that the minimum investment is .1 BTC or the equivalent in ETH.

I believe based on todays prices that puts it still in the $.40-$.50 per coin.

I'm undecided on how I feel about the uncapped part.  I remember pasting in the address into my outoing wallet for several BTC on the Ethereum crowdsale, but then getting gunshy because there was so much uncertainty (just like this) heading into the initial launch.

Back then you would have gotten 2,000 ETH per Bitcoin invested.   Look how that would have turned out in the long term.

I got similar memory with you as to the Ethereum crowdsale.
I am not sure if I will participate in Tezos.

I know such a bummer...BTC was around $500 at the time, right?   I was going to put in 5BTC (had the address pasted into my wallet), and then chickened out because I was attached to the BTC and then got sidetracked with something else.

I'm definitely not putting in 5BTC into this one...but I definitely at least want to do a little...I don't want to look back on this one again and then post the story in the "Worst BTC decision you have ever made" thread lol

so this ICO will not last 5 minutes like it happens with TENX...also when you send your ETH, The video does not mention Gas Price, only Gas Limit.....In Gas Limit we need to put 130000  but what figure do we need to put in Gas Price....?

If ICO starts from here starts 14 days, why is Bitmex already marketing Tezos? So this project is desired by all? Surely I'll attend, the current negotiated price is fair or is it possible to get the best prices?

ICO goes 14 Days relax  Wink

I believe you get an additional 1000 tezos on the intial launch per BTC invested, but I don't know how long that goes for?

It definitely couldn't hurt allocating just a dinky amount of coin to it.   Escpecially if you use crypto to bet on sports or dice or things like that.  At least this is theoretically a tangible investment.

It is uncapped ... but if you participate early, you will have more bonus. I think 20% bonus then steadily declining as the time goes.

Not sure if 20% bonus will compensate the dilution. We'll see...
One thing is certain though - DLS will make money in advance, and the rest will be left with uncertainty.

The plan is, - the more money they raise the more they will hire talent, - the quicker more work will get done. Each level of capital raised makes different levels the hiring plan for more programmers.

yes. decreases 5 % every 400 BTC block in time. Each BTC block takes 10 mins. Each period is about 3 days - a little less it seems.

Ok. They are much more active over at medium.com

https://medium.com/@arthurb

You can read a lot of information over here.

If I understand correctly 10% of the tokens go to the DLS shareholders. I'm not sure why they define it like this. Are their other shareholders? Keep in mind Ethereum gave 20% to shareholders, I think, didn't they?

I'm still trying to understand.

DLS will get 10% of tokens + 8.5% in cash

[Edit: and don't forget the ICO is uncapped, so the more they will collect the more cash they will have]
