Pardon me if this question seems ignorant, but I've never participated in an ICO before:
When money is sent from my wallet to the address specified by Tezos for the "Contribution", how is the contribution documented? Is there a registration process that will ensue with the Tezos Foundation?

I like the concept, but as far as I can see this project has been really purely executed... basic website, not official ANN, they didn't say anything about bonuses etc.

Hi all, I'm heading the Tezos project. A few things about the project
- We have real on-chain decentralized governance, i.e. we can upgrade the entire protocol without hard forks.
- We support smart-contracts with a functional, statically typed language which we design specifically for formal verification. We presented it recently at the Stanford blockchain conference and the video should be online soon.
- We're starting with a delegated proof-of-stake consensus model
- We are headed for a crowdsale around late Q1, early Q2 2017.
We've been fairly discreet for the past few years quietly building our technology (our source code is available on Github). We did not want to go to a crowdsale without an actual working product. We're not a fork of any project, we built the entire thing from scratch in OCaml.
I'd be happy to answer questions about the project!

Is anyone aware of when the genesis block will be launched (not the ICO)?
Also, has anyone tried out testnet? I am trying to get an invite as I am pretty good at breaking things, but I would like some feedback on the client and implementation if anyone has already given it a go. Is there a GUI? What RPC commands are there? Etc.

I don't like it that the Tezos team does not communicate and answer questions here. Yes, they communicate on slack, but who can read through slack to find any answer?

Seems a bit short notice should you choose via this method. Might have been better to start half way July, but whatever, looking forward to the launch!

yeah this is fabulous, this is another most anticipated coin, for sure coins will bubble again until this happens. Too many investors are waiting for it already.

With the uncapped ico and i think this project will break the prevous one. Too many whales will try to participate on the tezos. But that makes the price of ether will increase to the moon as faras i know.
