airdrop participants is not an actual investors and people basically not lost their money because usually they get airdrop tokens for free indeed most of them expect will get decent money from airdrop but indeed the results still depend on how far we able to find successfully project and the price of those coins will be so high after got listed on the exchange but in my opinion airdrop participants doesn't good for the coins itself because after they got those coins they will more likely sold it and dumped it

Over the holiday break I did approximately 80 airdrops.

I went out and checked each one that I completed over the last few days and the results were pathetic.  Almost every single one was a scam and is worth 0.  The few that stuck around had "speed" swaps where you had limited time to swap and even those are worth next to nothing.

Seems as though trading may be a more profitable way about making money in the crypto world.  Did I hit a bad stretch there?  Anyone having airdrop success in late 2017 - early 2018?
Joining airdrop is like betting in Lotto, you may win or you may waste your time and effort. About 100 % of all airdrop around 5% of it will have a good value. Now it is up to you if you want to bet on 5% probability or make your time and effort in other profitable way like bounty or trading.

Lot's of airdrops seem to be non substantial, as opposed to how it once was, you have to search hard to come across a good one.

Most people just joined airdrops campaign just for the sake of it, if a project lacks good community and substance it will have no value, I don't think people need to be complaining about Airdrop price since it is free, all you do is just to fill a form. Next time check the quality of the project before joining them

Did several airdrops and earn a lot. BTW, POLY, HAT, UCASH, REBEL and many others. They gave some of what I have right now(my mining rig and a small portion of Bitcoin) and continues to do airdrops as long as you won't give them your private keys. Not all are worthless just like what I have stated.
Above your lists only I have got the rebel and hat these seems are good. So many airdrops and most of them are scam no future at all. Best is to search before joining the best airdrop these days, but for me I stop hunting airdrop because all coins from airdrop I have was just a displayed in my wallet.

Joining these free airdrops isnt worth the hassle, you better participate in social media bounty campaigns which you will receive some tokens that has more potential to grow, your only job is to promote the ICO using your social media accounts facebook and twitter account would be enough, accomplish the task everyweek and you will receive your stakes at the end of the campaign, you have atleast more chance to have a good amount of money using the stakes you have received.

I don't do airdrops. I earned most of my coins to bounties and trading. As your post says, you are joining a very bad airdrops. check their project, ann or whitepapers first before joining. then look or the less look scam.

The best airdrops of last 2 months were Polymath, Theta, Shipchain and Coinfi.

And it's not too late, try register in one more promising project - Current Airdrop. This project decided to cancel ICO and will distribute their tokens by airdrop. This is a very cool project, but I'm not sure if there are still free places for new participants.

Polymath and shipchain wanted KYC.  Not sure on the other 2.  No way am I sending in my documents to these projects.

Airdrops are scams and they're only after for your information and efforts.
There is no such thing as free money today.
Instead, try to join signature bounty campaigns and at the same time join almost all Facebook, Twitter and Telegram Bounty Campaigns with just one account because you can do it all at once but it all depends on your time.
I prefer on joining signature bounty and Telegram campaigns than wasting my time and efforts on Airdrops.
I turn my back away on Airdrops since early last year.

Airdrop are good as long your in a legitimate company. They will deliver what they promise and they have value that people wants. They are their to solve a problem and that whats a company is for. Good luck to your venture on getting more airdrops.

Someone suggested this strategy a few months bank and I rightly predicted that it wouldn't be worth your time and loss of privacy. I think the point here is that, those who somehow ended up being part of a good airdrop would probably have had to spend a lot of time and effort anyway... would it have been worth it? If you like playing with luck and gambling, sure why not?

I think airdrops are like any crypto project. Invest time in the ones you believe in. If it works out, good for you. And the time period you're looking at is years... not months.

Exact.
You are right:

Most of the airdrop i have done seem to be scam, except for some. I prefer bounty to airdrop. The difference is just clear. I have even decided to leave airdrop for bounty as well as trading.

Yes, i had some successful ones like Rebl, BTW, STK and couple of few others. Although airdrop can be so frustrating  and time wasting. Notwithstanding, you can still get some good ones among them.

Well, it depends. If you are in bad ICO, you may not get anything. But there are other profitable ICO airdrop like Pundix . I have been part of PundiX airdrops, I reaping the profits.
