I accepted the trade. Yahoo message was Note: This trade will be processed on Tuesday, Nov 8 for Week 10. If the traded players have already played in Week 10 and were in a starting lineup, then the trade will be processed for Week 11 instead. If you've set your lineup for future dates, those changes will be reset to match your lineup for the day players are added.

Also, there might be a voting process if the other players in the league votes for or against the trade.

Yeah it gives two days for other teams to veto the trade. I thought it's quicker than that but whatever. Two (or three?) vetos would cancel the trade.

Agreed! You want to trade him for Tyler Lockett now? I want to get him out of your team before his future results begin to diminish hehehe.

Yeah let's do it. I figured that even in flex Lockett might be a slightly better option for me.

Keep in mind that if you accept the trade now you won't be able to use Goedert this week since he already played. I might be able to use Lockett, not sure. Or you can wait to accept after the weekend.

I sent you a trade offer through Yahoo.

I think we had more trades completed last year, i guess people really like their players this season, huh, or maybe they just overvalue theirs?...idk.

I think we would have more trades if we had another IR slot.

I've had to cut a ton of guys because of injuries that I really wanted to hold on to.

In other news this is hilarious. Grin

Is that the first trade agreed on in our league? Wow, yay, congrats on you two!  Grin

In the four leagues that i'm currently playing, in three (including this one) no trades, no trade offers, nothing. And that other league we've had like 15 trades already, it's actually kinda fun, i've never been in a league with that many transactions before. I'm curious if it would help if we didn't have the trade veto/waiting period in place?

Looking at my team, i like my starting backs and receivers, and you can't trade someone like Kelce or Andrews, so who should i trade, Sutton or J. Wilson Jr.? These guys have no or very little trade value right now, for better or worse i'm stuck with what i've got.

Anyways, the trade deadline is in two weeks' time Nov 19th...

Yes, shaking my head. I should have offered Tyler Lockett immediately when @suchmoon opened the trade. I was afraid to use Antonio Gibson for my W/R/T because your team's performance has been very good for 4 weeks.

He presently might not accept Lockett for Goedert anymore unless Lockett also creates 20 fantasy points or more for my team on week 9 hehehe.

Well, as every investment advisor will tell you - "past performance is no guarantee of future results". I don't know yet what I will do. Keeping Goedert for flex might be an option.

There is also something investors call momentum hehehe. The Eagles are playing okay and appear to have a good schedule versus not very difficult opponents except the Titans until week 18.

Goedert...Lol

It also appears the year's concussion issue might not stop.

Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields has said he regrets playing in the NFL, pointing to the effects concussions and head injuries had on his career and his later life.

Source https://edition.cnn.com/2022/11/03/sport/sam-shields-nfl-concussion-spt-intl/index.html

I don’t see this changing any time soon. The NFL is trying to implement certain things to try and improve upon the situation (thanks to the Dr who discovered CTE and the move Concussion forcing them to do so) but there’s still room for a lot of improvement. Not sure there’s much they can do to really make a big difference. I guess it also comes down to the willingness of what they signed up to do. Just like a boxer for example. However that’s why I’m against youth football, even at earlier ages brain issues can and are caused by football and these kids mostly don’t know better. I know I got mini-concussions ( “getting my bell rung” ) all the time. Kind of scary thinking about it now, having played several years and getting those many times.

Kidding aside, I know there is a lot of interest in NFL in Europe, just don't get why every attempt to expand there is doomed to fail eventually.

We European fans would of course be happy to see more games in Europe. Especially the German NFL community is huge and I'm not sure if that is known in the US. There are various fan clubs for different teams and almost all NFL games are broadcasted on free TV every weekend.

If you guys are interested in the German NFL community, take a look at these Twitter hashtags: #ranNFL or #ranNFLsuechtig. You will find thousands of photos of German fans watching the NFL with their friends every game day.

I will check out the twitter links, thanks for sharing. So Germany as a whole is the biggest fans of the NFL in Europe? I would have thought it would be the UK. We (Americans) really weren’t aware that it was so big over there (we were aware of David Hassellhoff being a big music star there at one point lol).  Is there rugby in Germany? Curious why it’s so big there and not other Euro nations.

~15 points in one drive... I mean that's not necessarily a good thing but I'll take it.

The German press agency dpa reports that 3 million tickets could have been sold for the NFL game in Munich on November 13 (Buccaneers vs. Seahawks).

Looks like you guys need a bigger stadium. Unless you can invent some contraption, maybe some box connected somehow to the stadium, that would allow you to see the action remotely. Might be worth a try.

Kidding aside, I know there is a lot of interest in NFL in Europe, just don't get why every attempt to expand there is doomed to fail eventually.

I love seeing the interest in Europe growing! I know we've got at least 2 Euro's in our fantasy league, maybe even more?  The problem with putting a team there is the travel.  If they were going to put a team, it will be in the UK / England first.  But when you've got to travel over seas like that, it would be a pretty sizable disadvantage for the away team.  Plus when the home team has to travel over seas for their away games, same deal.  Not to mention it'll then have to be factored in for Thursday and Monday games, due to not getting a full weeks rest when you play on Thursday games then having to travel over seas...just a travel issue.

@suchmoon. Do not give him Goedert hehhehehe.

LOL, I think he's more worried about you than me. Wink

However, I am most worried about you for week 9 because I do not have McCaffrey and if you get Goedert, I lose hehehe.

Meh, I may just run without a TE.

You should check and consider again hehe. The projections for week 9 has increased for my team and for your team, it has a small projection dump.

@ChiBitCTy. You made a good choice in getting Nyheim Hines from the waiver wire! I also tried to get him after seeing that he was traded to the Bills. He might be more favored to get more touches?

Well I've got to do something to try and replace Najee who's been my worst pick of the year for all leagues I'm in.  I'm not sure if Hines will take over the backfield.  Singletary is obviously very familiar with the offense and they will almost certainly ease Hines in at first too.  We shall see though, up to him I suppose.

TRADE REQUEST:
Najee Harris- Requesting- half eaten bag of cheetos (I'll take full un-opened bag if you're feeling generous).

Seriously though, Burrow and Tua are on the market.  I'm very willing to trade them and one of my receivers for a WR or RB upgrade.  Both could really improve your team if you think you are in it to make a run in the playoffs (I'm almost eliminated so I need to try and shake things up to go on a run and willing to trade to do so).

There were 3 million (!) ticket applications for Munich's NFL game between Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks on November 13.

NFL boss in Germany Alexander Steinforth: "Three million tickets could have been sold if the stadium had enough capacity"

No wonder I ended up in the queue at the online ticket sale at place 250000 and after 5 minutes everything was sold out.  Undecided

Has anyone here in the community been able to get tickets for the game?

This might be his week as S. Barkley has his bye week and save Josh Allen the rest of my team isn't looking too great.. What happened. No IRs yet I've fallen quite a bit after such an auspicious start.

I like what Yahoo says about Cooper Kupp, although it isn't good for my team:

Quote
He's reportedly dealing with a low-ankle sprain and is tentatively expected to play through it this week against the Bucs. Kupp is all the Rams have on offense.

 Cheesy

 Cry

My my how much things can change between Super Bowls.

Lost 4 bets in a row so I won't have a call for this Thursday's game, lol.

Seems like a waste of perfectly good DOGE to throw into my account at the moment.

Looks like Keenan Allen fucking me again this week.

Keenan Allen is going to be out this coming? Mike Williams is already ruled out for like a month or something like that.  Obviously doesn't effect me in any way for this league, but one of my other leagues I have Herbert and if both Allen and Williams are out I've now got the tough decision between Herbert and Tua.  I would go Tua without hesitation if he had a good matchup but doesn't.

Speak of, I've got Tua in our league as well as Burrow.  I am more than willing to trade Tua if anyone is in need of a QB.  I think it's obvious his upside is huge.  Would be willing to pair with a WR or RB for a WR or RB upgrade for my end of the deal.  Just throwing this out there.  Hell, I'd even consider trading Burrow, why not.

Yeah, Id play Tua over Herbert this week for sure.

I do think Latavius will take lead from Melvin and thats why I cut him.

Yeah it's a gamble but I'm kinda forced to bet on the opposite here. I'm so thin on RBs now that Henderson is apparently on McVay's shitlist ("breathing issue" LOL) - even had to put Goedert in flex for this week...
