... but like I said I don't have much money to work with. Do I get any geek credits for being right like all along, 100% since the beginning? loool
Neither do the rest of us, but those of us that bought @ $1,800 have 44% more money after selling @ $2,600. Wink

A few are holding out or have reverted while they get clarification on the latest problem with the fork as pointed out to them by gmaxwell here https://github.com/btc1/bitcoin/issues/85 . They're waiting to see how bad an issue it might be in the real world before deploying it (+/- again).

That's not a very probable "issue". It was very good that gmaxwell caught it but I don't think it will a serious cause for concern. There are manual methods the nodes can ensure that they communicate with each other. But I suppose it's the prudent thing to do.
I really wonder that how the people are starting all this but I think it all depends on how fast the users switch into segwit key pairs assuming bitcoin core just need to be great full for the sag witness and blocks any future it will be 2mb block, 4 month down the start so it is a mystery I think.

Looks like price is reacting to the probability of SegWit locking in! Those of you who bought at 1800~ have made a lot of profit!

Ummm, to the moon? Undecided

Maybe you did not buy any in the $1800s, Allivain?  That is why you are giving the emoji face?
He is a Legendary poster. He should know by now to buy the dips.

Silly guy, I bought the biggest dip that ever dipped! Of course I know Wink but like I said I don't have much money to work with. Do I get any geek credits for being right like all along, 100% since the beginning? loool

Ah no for sure I did not. I'm cash poor. I just mine and that's it  Smiley

You can still dollar cost average with whatever cashflow you have, no?

I was cash poor in 2015 (during the most recent long bottom), because I had some business issues that kind of blew up at a bad time.

I was not able to buy any between March 2015 and May 2015, but I still managed to buy a few between June and October.  Thereafter, I started to sell very small amounts of the ones that I had bought lower than I sold.. which gave me more and more cash as the price continued to go up.. At first a little and a later a lottle. Wink.

Yah maybe. I kinda sort trade btc with a traditional forex broker so it's a CFD not actual coins. Bought in as low as 180, but because it's very very small lot sizes I'm only up like ~$1800 in profit. So I can sorta trade, just not really gotten heavily into it. I think I'm just better off starting a BTC business and contribute to the btc economy that way instead of sloshing fiat and btc around.

We all have our niches as Searing said.

yes...the 'smooth taste' of taking BTC and 'filtering it thru' risky ASIC machines of ANY flavor..on the hope of getting more BTC out...

mostly you just get the same 'filtered amount' you put in ..if you are very lucky...

ah..them blinky LCD's and the whirly fans in the basement ..make my heart go 'pitter pat'

mining..buying coin the wrong way around Smiley

crypto: silly, addictive, likely 'tulip' hobby Smiley

Yah I've come to the realization that one is better off just buying coins and holding. The only way you can make money mining is if you go BIG, and I mean REALLY BIG or if you're Bitmain or any other ASIC manufacturer, then practically you are printing money and minting coins.

Anyways, me likey blinky blink lights! Weeeeee....moar whirly fans...must have all the hashes!!!

I like when n00bs take advice from people like you, it increases my profits even more.  Cool

Well, will make over 111k usd this year mining. So not complaining.

Works for me. But I respect traders. Just seem to have found my niche. 😄

What about the 2mb fork? Is that going to require another round of voting later on?

Don't worry; If they try to get 2mb blocks, team UASF is still here to give us 0.3mb blocks.   Cool

Sure - take the 0.3millibrain left and do ProofOfShit - fo!

Than use the right bigblock Bitcoin as a proper LN  Smiley
