Wow,this is a pretty good infographic.
I`m really interested to learn more about the blockchain technology and smart contracts(because i`m interested in ethereum as well).I`m not very tech savvy and i didn`t study programming.I guess i`ve wasted my time back then and i have to start from the begining.
There will be a huge demand for blockchain and smart contract programmers and we have to do something about it. Smiley
I`m not a big fan of Coursera and Udemy courses, you can`t learn that much with just a few videos.

Personally I had also not tried Udemy course much but recently I found a coupon on a forum that gave me 100 % off and thus I enrolled in the course. I went through the videos and was really impressed by the course. I checked other courses from the same instructor and he had more than 10 courses related to crypto. None of the courses had less than 500 enrollments. I was under the impression that people might not be spending any money on such courses but it completely changed after this experience.

All of the universities that you had listed is the best universities all over the world. And I think it is good to study blockchain technology in the college/university that is well updated in the current issued and technology in the world. The advantage of these universities that you've sited are popular with lot of facilities to use.

I am not sure that the blockchain will be an effective system for state bodies. This is a very energy-intensive system. The use of millions of computers that now support blockchain for the use of cryptocurrencies is paid by users. This will be unprofitable for state bodies. The beauty of blockchain is that it is a popular technology. It cannot exist without the support of the people.

The best university for the study of blockchain technology. I agree with it. It has been compared to this area for a few days at the beginning of the Internet, in the early 90's, when there were so many things about the web, but some realized or saw its full potential
Like it again, blockchain technology is now in a flat world. Rich and poor, artists and coders, thinkers and idiots, do not interfere with all the middle range.
This means that opportunities are huge and only need power, this place must be built together as the most meritorious, where you do not need any permission.
So the interest of reading the blockkain technology has increased so much that the students of the university are more interested in the investment banking sector for FINETEC and especially Blockanken Tech.

Also, I'd recommending looking at the courses available form Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/learn/cryptocurrency). Coursera offers University courses from reputable Universities (Princeton, for example) and usually online and for free.

It's a really great resources. You're not going to earn a degree for free, but you'll get great education on very specific topics. The link I provided above will take you directly to their cryptocurrency course.

I'd love to hear some reviews of different courses people have taken. What's been good instruction? What's been a waste of time?

Is it possible to get another degree for free from coursera.org? other than Blockchain tech?
It's 1st time I heard about a website that gives knowledge and degree for free Cheesy

I also can't recommend Coursera enough, it's free if you just want to learn along and have access to all study materials.
But there are also courses which charge you to interact with the teacher and they will correct any assignments you turn in.

I think even the paid courses are usually under 100 dollars.

I've just completed a course for Android development and was very happy.

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
I had no idea it was being taught in University!

If you really want to learn all about it, then launch your own alt coin. The whole experience from the development to the marketing should be an education in itself.

As blockchain technology offers many advantages for economics regarding financial system, so it is a great movement to learn about it in College.
The best Universities based on the article:
1. Cornell University
2. Cambridge University
3. University College London (UCL)
4. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
5. Johns Hopkins University
6. St. Mary’s University School of Law

Maybe many people develop their abilities about blockchain technology by learning about it by themselves without really studied blockchain in University, but anything that may help you whether it come from online resources (learn by yourself) or in College doesn't really matter, as long as you can implement your knowledge and give a hand for bitcoin community to develop further Cheesy

"If you’re into computer science with an interest in blockchain technology, the best place to go is Cornell if you can study under Emin Gün Sirer."

this guy is a fud spreading asshole. read his tweets. i'm not gonna pay tens of thousands of dollars to have my mind poisoned by him.

i'm skeptical that universities attract good enough brains to teach this stuff yet. the real brains will be out in the wild working on the real deal.

In the past, students used to seek out teachers/masters who had views opposed to their own. It was a form of strengthening their stances, improving their arguments and discovering the chinks in their answers. That been said, I've always been slightly wary about formal education. I don't believe in top universities or top brains. I've often found that the very best brains are nearly incapable of imparting their knowledge. On the other hand, an average person who knows great teaching skills, understands how to interest the student and guides rather than teaches - those are few.

I read somewhere that the university of Nicosia has a free cryptocurrency/block chain degree.. I'm afraid I don't have more information other than that.

Yeah, 5 posts above you. On the same page Smiley

I never knew there were already courses that taught or revolved around the block chain. Good to know that humanity wants to advance this technology.
Just wondering though, if these courses are just computer science/programming but with just added courses that would specialize in blockchain tehcnology?

There are a great many places to learn about Blockchain/crypto/Bitcoin, this forum itself is a great resource (once you learn how to navigate past the debris), especially if you can identify the users who post the most educational/useful info (staff and a few Legendaries are by far the most helpful).

But if you're talking about accredited formal education, I've been most interested in this one at the University of Nicosia.

https://www.unic.ac.cy/schools/distance-learning/computer-science-msc

It offers distance learning for a Msc in Computer Science majoring in Blockchain Tech. One of the lecturers is Antonopoulos, whose works I really enjoy (you can watch some of his talks online to get an idea of how his classes look like).

this forum is indeed a great resource of that although it'll be a bad idea to start here as its more easier to learn if the topics are in sequence. whats best here is applying what

you learn by posting. now to the topic, you don't really have to pay bucks if you wanna learn the basics of blockchain or even crypto technology as there are tons of informative

resources everywhere on the net for free but as stated on the op blockchain/cryptocurrency related skills courses are very limited and if things go well it might be an in demand

job in the future, if you want to dwelve on that particular skill, accredited university is the best option moreover you'll meet people with common interest about crypto, you know

this is just new so you guys might come up an idea

Yes Coursera offers several courses, but they are not for free. You’ll have to pay for them. These are real lecturers from the best universities in the world and they’re not there to teach you free, lol. I’ve been a member of Coursera for sometime now.

By the way, I came across Blockgeeks.com and I believe they could be quite the best. Though it requires you to live in Toronto, where theirbeautiful sixthousand SQ foot HQ is. But, man, these people are paying to teach you all about Blockchain, everything you need to know, just everything. And the compensation is $60k–$200k, damn!

Very few universities around the world have started courses for Blockchain technology. Just because of this no institutes were given specific ranking. In my personal opinion Blockchain technology is far apart from the running technology it can be learned if the user himself has the interest to innovate.

This is something I will say its quite interesting for scholars in those universities to have seen beyond the way government is envisaging by looking into the future and identify the need of that future which obviously a lot of government are trying to shut down. I will take a look at the courses and even learn one or two things and maybe someday I can become an expert and from the  comfort of my room we change the fate of the world.

Well what i learned here in the communitare the basics terms and trading strategies. I think it would really become a helpful course if they would integrate coding  on the blockchain. Because i too would really want to learn those cryptography stuffs and the sha functions. I find it facsinating if people are talking about those kinds of things but i have no idea how to relate. I was trying to find those kinds of things online but i always end up in blogs that is meant to be read. If there could be any apps to learn those things.
