Don't be naive, all of us here to earn money.
False generalization fallacy. I wouldn't expect something better from the likes of you. Roll Eyes

The forum won't be so successful if comments would not be paid.
Success? What's the benefit of this success other than enriching theymos? This forum has literally outweighed the good with the damage that it causes, and has become a negative piece in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

I bet you are here for the same reason, but not only cause of you love to argue and prove your truth.
Speculative, and a rather insulting, claim.

Yes your English is great, but it's not your native,
What my native language is, is not of your concern.

so don't think that those people who speak English not so well are fools and don't deserve to be on the forum.
You do not.

....
The rest of your posts consists of rehashed content.
Update: I've just checked the SMAS list and you're on it. Therefore, your post does not surprise me at all.
Ah now I know why your posts takes about an hour to be done, you are carefully taking person's words from the contexts to write your rubbish opinion under it. Just you to know, I don't care about SMAS and your nativity, I have only meant that you set high standards to other users.
You're wrong on all points:
1. If something can be said in 1 word, it should be said in 1 word. That's efficient.
2. I've seen several very intelligent posters create very good new threads. They should be able to do that without spamming the forum for months.
3. You want satoshi's account to be gone?
4. A forum serves as an archive. Guess you've never searched the forum to find the solution you were looking for?
This is actually my opinion with which you have all rights to disagree, but:
1. "Yes" won't be a good comment.
2. I also saw several Newbies with really interesting posts, but most of users are starting the same topic threads, like "Bitcoin vs Gold" over and over again.
3. Basically unused accounts don't have any affect on the forum, but yes, my idea was to delete those accounts which inactive for months and years.
4. Believe me I know about "Archive" section on the forum, but if you didn't notice it is providing a big cleaning on the forum from last two months and a lot of old threads have been removed already, and it has nothing with removing of shit posts, but probably it has something with shit threads generally.

Those things that really should be done on the forum are:
1. Banning of short posters.
2. Allowing to start a new topic only after reaching a rank of Member.
3. Removing non active accounts (like few months without any activity).
4. Too old threads deleting (BTW it is happening this days on the forum, so something good has finely done to make this forum more healthy).

2) Shitposters from various 3rd world countries.
I'd love to see an instant automated ban for anyone who posts "I'm agree"*. It's a very easy way to filter many (Indonesian) shitposters.
Better masters of English could easily avoid that by switching to "I concur", which is my favorite. However, those shitposters aren't smart enough for that.

the forum is degenerating and is worse than most mainstream news outlets and their comment sections
All of this comes down to the very lucrative business of posting here. In a way I'm guilty too: my current signature is the most lucrative one I've ever had. But at least I try not to post crap.
At this point I don't even mind people who are posting to get paid given that: a) They have one account. b) They really put effort in their posts and this effort can be seen.[1]

[1] There are outright baboons that claim they put a lot of effort and end up producing posts that are 2-3 lines long most of the time. Some posts that I've personally put effort in, back in some hefty block size debates, have taken me 30-60 minutes to write and have contained over 500 words.
OP is another example of someone just spreading BS around here. I was hoping he'd have some standard AD in his signature as then his intentions would be obvious.

Forgive me, but isn't this forum called Bitcoin talk. It isn't the Bitcoin bank, Ponzi plaza, accounts'r'us, Brexit uncovered or any of the other things mentioned in various posts. There are some special interest boards, and that is good, for example, alt coin discussions have a useful place on alt boards. I'd like to see Bitcoin talk return to informed discussions, technical issues, and help for members using Bitcoin. Unfortunately it is hard to find and follow these threads in the mass of flotsam and jetsam that keeps floating to the surface.

thats not possible,

because the original bitcoin community has changed,

the IT coders and IT team sold their bitcoins, which is now owned by rich investors,

and the original at home miners have been replaced by industrial miners,

the growth of the market should be seen as an opportunity not as an ill.

but who am i to tell you that.

The number of users is coming to 1 million already and I suppose withduch huge interest to crypto-currencies this number is going to be reached soon. The forum is really amazing place for all the community and I am happy to be a part of it. I don't thing we don't need to change anything about the forum, let it stays fee as it is.

so bad that the some of the forums staff is not capable willing or blind? to grow longterm strategic fruitition out of this, instead they sell, banners and complain about scam,

but we dont have to worry about that, if they wont do their jobs good there will be other forums, realizing that opportunity.

if you want to have less scam posting there are many possible solutions, why dont you introduce just an ID sign up or some kind ID certifications for accounts, exchanges do this all the time, people could ignore.
i am not posting bullshit! i just show the great opportunities.
The irony in this statement is amazing.

There are maybe 200k active accounts, and less than 100k real people. Keep drinking the kool-aid. Roll Eyes

Can you stop posting mini walls of text, as they are full of bullshit with no actual meaning nor truth? Thanks. You are obviously neither qualified nor experienced enough to asses, evaluate and discuss the situation that this forum is in.

uncertified postings with their settings.

national financial centres also dont ignore approaches of people that dont speak their language.

or stock/comoditiy exchanges, people that dont know the custom rules.

Absolutely wrong and bamboozled view of the situation. My statements are at worst a realistic depiction of the current situation (I'm a realist). If you want to put your head in the sand and hope that everything is warm and fuzzy around here, then go ahead.

This place has been a big clusterfuck for a very long time, and it most certainly has not been getting any better.

i tell you something about realism,

when bitcoin was created it was basically an empty IT system, claims predictions and pretentions have made it valuable.

when you see things black they will be black for you, and you only see the risks not the opportunities.

being negative about numbers will not make this forum more successful, thats what the competitors enemies, want,

you should better look at the sunside, and market that one not the darkside.

otherwise thise forum will not be able to grow with such a mindset among its moderators / administrators,

now you can ignore me and keep your shity status quo, then you will indeed be overrun by scam and trash postings.

or you can developyourself out of it.

growth is accompanied by growth of both or all of them,

serious investors, serious developers, and serious scammers

focsing on the bad ones will not develop this forum

There are a lot of newbie accounts but do we not give some of them the benefit of the doubt?
At this point you have to be either very ignorant or an absolute fool to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Obviously you can spot the shill / shit posters from a mile off but I think there will, genuinely be a lot of new people here now.
Aside from 3rd world shitposter, not really.

you are to pessimistic that is normal market activity, financial markets are this way,

you should rather see the opportunities.

if you standardise things, and make it better understandable, you could create an online financial hub

There are two things that is exploding:
1) Hacked accounts and thus scams and all kinds of shady activity.
2) Shitposters from various 3rd world countries.

Other than that, the forum is degenerating and is worse than most mainstream news outlets and their comment sections. The numbers that you've pointed out are actually bad.

Exponentially exploding full of shit, and it gets worse day by day. Something needs to change.

now you have to research the amount of new post that are made each month more and you have obviously in this forum an exponential development

https://i.imgur.com/OsnW6HQ.jpg

for me this looks like a very huge growth
regards
i think all this growth is because shitdrops, massive spam in last two months most of them are bran new or newbie accounts with the same fucking post 'joined....'.

Yeah, sick of seeing shitposting newbies trying to rank up as quick as they can then as soon as they hit 14 posts and their activity stopped they then create the "why is my activity stucked" threads. You can tell the accounts are created en mass to farm airdrops because 9/10 they have an eth address or whatever it is in their 'location' before they even make their first post.

maybe you should evolve this forum into becoming a decent financial capital market,

i mean many potential capitalists these days dont like the capital centres in (new york, frankfurt main, shanghai, london) they want something not related to race, or country something neutral just about capital and making money, and such a financial hub in an internet forum is quite a good alternative,

now this would have a huge longterm potential for enterpreneurship, and finance,

i myself dont like going to frankfurt and getting there a loan i prefer much more using the internet for this. much more neutral etc.

pm me if you are interested developing the potential of this forum,
additionally you could filter out better the spam and filter out scamm icos,

i would love to help you with that

use your potential make this forum a financial centre.

there is also demand here for systematic ico credibility research and certification

yesterday there were like 8 threads opened complaining about scam icos and about finding ways to filter out the scam icos or recognizing
