Who won't want a whopping 50merit on his account all of a sudden. It surely helps and we all know about that for sure.

I don't know about you guys and I don't know if OP @Nutildah is cool with it but, I really feel we should keep this thread decently avoiding comments that aren't applications, testimonials and perhaps a notation from those yet to receive their full quota though, a pm in that regard could solve that issue as well and I guess Nutildah stated that as well.

All that is just to avoid spam on the thread so, I won't be saying much any longer. Your free to disagree but then, that's my thought. I hope no one takes it to heart and thanks for your understandings.

For the forum, some people help them with everything. One of them is @nutildah. He helps the members here with all his efforts. This is a reflection of him.

nutildah, many thanks for  the scholarship. I applied when I had as much as 180 merits to earn to became  Hero and received  50 merits accompanied with certificate  when that figure has reduced to 150. That certificate gave me a big traction  and  less than a month after,  I have earned so many merits,  that this allowed me to be  ranked up to Hero member. Thank you once more for this wonderful program that encourages users.
Really this his program is uplifting different individuals, some person's that would have had at least three weeks interval before earning such hugged amount merit before ranking up to next position, just find it very simple and easy to accumulate their merit status, i really appreciate his kindness of upliftment of bitcointalk community user's, i think with these alone he deserved  award.

It seems that I ranked up to Hero before my post was reviewed Cheesy not bad if that was the reason (I hope it wasn't that I didn't qualify due to other reasons).

I just wanted to thank nutildah for his/her generosity and helping attitude with this thread: back in 2017 when I started posting it was quite easy to rank up with a little patience and constancy, but nowadays it is quite more difficult since the merit system was installed, and all the support from generous Legendaries in that regard is worthy of being grateful.

Keep up!! Kiss

Wow... Wo. This is big for me. I'm overwhelmed by this . I see it as a weekend gift.

Thanks for identifying me (OP) to be a beneficiary of this meritorious award. I can only strive to be better and try in the way I can to contribute to this forum.

I have to share my gratitude as soon as I saw that I have be awarded with 50 merit before this thread gets locked up again (maybe).

You know what? Since you're just 1 Merit away from your next journey, take one and be on your way Smiley

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
I first learned about bitcoin back in 2015-2016, then my friend sent me links through which it was possible to receive bitcoin for simple actions. But I didn't take it seriously and missed my first chance to get bitcoins. Later in 2017, I registered on the Bitcointalk, although I knew about this site before, but I just read it without registering. I took part in the bounty and several of my tokens grew very well, so I could buy about 5 bitcoins, but greed has played a cruel joke on me and I didn’t buy because I wanted to wait for the token price to rise even more and I could earn more bitcoins. Unfortunately, this did not work out and I again missed the opportunity to get bitcoins, and the price of tokens dropped very much and now they cost almost nothing.

Now I try to earn and hold only bitcoin, as I consider it to be the strongest coin, which will be very expensive in the future. I missed so many opportunities to earn bitcoins and gained invaluable experience from my mistakes. Hopefully this time I will succeed!

I came across the name Bitcoin seven years ago, when I was with my cousin. He was into cryptoworld then but I didn't ask him much concerning Bitcoin, how it works.
Reaching this year i met a friend who introduced me to Bitcointalk, since the day I became a member I have gotten enough knowledge about Bitcoin that have added much value to my life. I think Bitcointalk forum is the best community have ever found my self in life.

Here are my best three post

Thank you
I feel that I'm not in right position to tell you that you are not eligible to submit application of Merit but have to tell you, i think op made clear and very specific that people that will be in higher chance to be beneficiary of this contest of  merit scholarship is seniors more especially seniors members with higher merit and also state it very clear that a user don't have to participate twice, please don't take it so personal, it's a little impression, and i have to put you true to avoid next time, just read the body of op text so that you will comprehend more better.

It was clearly started by nutildah that reapplying is not necessary. nutidah also means he would have sent more, but only maximum of 50 can be sent to a user monthly while the last time he sent to the last users is still remain like two weeks before 30 days will complete.
I am aware of the post made by nutidah. I am the first one to receive partial merit scholarship programn and nutilda rewarded me on May 24 and then next is UserU but the difference is that UserU got the full scholarship program. Just read the first page and you'll understand what I mean.

EDIT:
If it is not necessary to resubmit then it's already 43 days up. I don't know if I am eligible to what is quoted below.

Everybody else got 50, and can get up to 50 more in a month. Just remind me when the 30 days are up.

In the beginning
I consider my introduction to bitcoin as my turning point. I was introduced to bitcoin by a friend. He couldn't stop talking about this digital currency that would change the world. I didn't understand any of what he said or meant
but the conviction with which he spoke those words caught my interest. After some months I decided to give this bitcoin thing a try. I created my first bitcoin wallet which was blockchain.com simply because it was the only wallet I was exposed to back then. I can remember the excitement I had when I bought my first bitcoin.

Hello achievers and would-be achievers,

I was trying to make good on the delivery of some outstanding merits and keep running into this message:

Quote
You can only send 50 merit to a given user per 30 days. You have already sent 50 merit to that user.

Its been more than 30 days for some of you so I don't know what's up.
It does. I have a question, does this also eligible for those who received partial or do I need to submit another application?. If this happens to another forum user then they will know it right away. I don't know if there will be more partial achievers like me so this will make me understand this one. It feels like I am neither eligible nor non-eligible  Cheesy.

I noticed the existence of bitcoin in the year 2015, and i began to make a search of cryptocurrency more especially in bitcoin in the  year of 2016, so within interval of four months (4) i started investing in cryptocurrency, but just out of luck i saw bitcointalk community, through advert of bitcoin from internet especially Facebook and telegram, and in Facebook there, a link was dropped i clicked the link and the Link redirect me to bitcointalk community, then i began to read the rules and regulations of op, and i never knew what is bounty signature campaign then, but after reading, i could not understand anything serious concerning the rules.

I wrote the name of website in my document, after four years interval, which landed in 2020, i review my document and i saw bitcointalk forum, i have to access the site again and register in june 9th 2020, after registration i began to observe the forum for a while before i started creating topics.

Back then before I knew about cryptocurrency, I started playing the game of faucet, I played on faucet for around a year from 2015 or close to that. I was playing it like a game and enjoying it, a game that I didn't know would later become money if sold. So out of curiosity, not with zeal and seriousness I kept acquiring the bitcoins. At the time I was eager to sell, I started making enquiry and surfed the net and that was how I got real information on cryptocurrency/bitcoin and even to this forum.

Once a man, twice a child!
How the Bitcoin journey began for me

I came into cryptocurrency through a stroke of luck in December 2016 at a time I was struggling with my offline business and that was through a radio broadcast I was listening to. It was a cross state radio station and some guys where canvassing participants to their upcoming seminar on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Curiosity got the better of me when I heard what the price of a Bitcoin compared to dollar was during that broadcast. I thought what they said about the price was just a gimmick to get people hooked. Again, I didn't want to pay to attend one of those empty motivational classes. So, I googled Bitcoin and one of those searches took me to the coinmarket site (CMC) and this forum. Immediately I read a few posts here I knew I was unto something good so I waited till my birthday on Jan 9th to get registered on this forum as a birthday gift to myself. Date of registration bears my birthday. No regrets doing that.

Provide links for what you consider to be your three best posts.

It was in late 2016 and very early in 2017 that my crypto story began. Then I heard a name of a coin called billion coin, though I didn't know how to verify if the "coin" was worth genuine/investing on or not but I lost interest totally because it was looking like networking and I hate networking because it works like ponzi. This made me to put my attention on internet until I started reading about bitcoin.

I choose these as my three best posts.

I. Without going into too much detail, tell me the story of your first experience with cryptocurrency. It can be about a purchase, payment, other transaction, or just some anecdote about Bitcoin (200 words or less):
My first experience was in 2013. I live in Spain and it was quite difficult to buy any, but I remember that I first read about Bitcoin and, in less than 2 days, I learnt all the practical knowledge needed and got my first coin. It costed me roughly 50€, but were hard times because I had to help paying an expensive college with the money I earned by teaching kids and didn't have much more, so I had to sell it shortly after Cry but the experience helped me to be prepared for 2017 when I recovered the interest and had more money to invest.

I had known about bitcoin in certain time in the past, but unfortunately did not know it can be used in exchange for fiat until I read about it on an online site, later I knew about cryptotalk.org. I joined cryptotalk on October 2nd, 2019, at the time we were paid 1000 satoshi for every post. I made it up to 0.01 btc and I was able to trade it for fiat and believed bitcoin was real and it is money. Not long and I joined this forum to know more about what bitcoin is and it has actually been a good experience for me.

1. How it all started for me:

On like most persons who came into bitcoin or the forum solely yo earn, my idea of bitcoin came out o lf curiosity and how two persons with the same passion for a field so real and progressive could discuss in the open and yet, no one truly understands. It amazed me.

Coupled with the fact that, I witnessed first hand, how some undervalued token according to me as it was earned by the one who introduced me to the forum after having some bounty days, was able to sell this token and got its equivalent in fiat. Using the p2p service on an exchange into our local banks. To me, he was unique and I felt, I needed this so, I choosed to learn. I took the first step, swallowed my pride and asked him to teach me what he knows.

He introduced me to the forum, I never failed to refer to him on terms I never understood and then, I become fully involved with going through various contents across the boards on the forum. Now, I'm a proud owner of bitcoin & altcoins even as I continue to best and update my knowledge on the field still and I'm proud of my field of endeavour.

2. Some of my best posts but not limited to these are:
I. Your PerceptionMatters
II. Getting scared is useful!
III. Why you shouldn't tire out with bignners

I do my best to encourage ignorant people like I once was and stand as a pillar to cryptocurency where ever I find myself and when I can. On this note, I file in my application. Thank you!

Am a beneficiary of this program, I didn't have the time to thank the head of the program then because it was locked, but now I must appreciate the effort sir nutildah is bringing into this, I think many like me who have benefited from this has only joyous things to say, and to everyone -Newbies or low rank- who always think that they are super productive to the forum but not been heard or seen this program is an opportunity to either become and awardee of the program or get exposed for not being what you think or say you are.
Am really excited to see the program back again and I know this would be another great give backs to the forum from a benevolent member.

Good luck to the next batches of applicants and thank you sir nutildah.

Unfortunately I ran out of certificates so you're all going to have to share one:

According to my calculations BIT-BENDER only needed 20 merits to level up to Hero, congrats! Everybody else got 50, and can get up to 50 more in a month. Just remind me when the 30 days are up.

And we are now at full scholarship capacity so I must lock the thread for the time being.

First Crypto experience
The first time I had an encounter with cryptocurrencies was the time when MMM was first introduced to my country of residence, they had brought one idea to bypass the the ban placed on MMM then by the Central Bank in the country, so Bitcoin was the only option, I had to purchase my own Bitcoin then with $100 in 2016. I later didn't use it for the purpose which it bears, the Idea of investing it into something else to yield a return occurred to me and I discussed this with a friend who gave me a site that promised to givee 100% ROI in 72 hours. It was mouthwatering, I felt for it and lost all my sats. Since then, I have set up a platform within my local community to teach them about the details of how to save their crypto assets, to stay safe from scammers. Since then I have got to know the basic concepts involved in cryptocurrencies, how to use cryptocurrencies to solve everyday pressing needs. Earning passive income through the Crypto community to help me pay my tax, health and important bills the journey to Cryptocurrencies has been great so, The greatest thanks goes to everyone on Bitcointalk who helps with their insightful posts.

Hello Leo! You can still win.
1.Without going into too much detail, tell me the story of your first experience with cryptocurrency. It can be about a purchase, payment, other transaction, or just some anecdote about Bitcoin (200 words or less).

MY FIRST CRYPTOCURRENCY EXPERIENCE

My first cryptocurrency experience was horrible, I was actually scammed which I have not resuscitated till date.
I have heard of Bitcoin years ago but I was skeptical about it because I learnt about it when ponzi scheme was at the rise. I never knew if it was among the ponzi schemes. I was not involved because I had no close friend(s) or relatives in it, so as whom to trust. Not until a friend showed up when I lost my job to Covid-19, introduced me to a scam "fxfarms" not knowing it was a ponzi scheme. He helped me create a wallet on blockchain, deposited $1510  worth of bitcoin that $10 would be for a network fee. Because Cryptocurrency was the only means of deposit. All these happened same day not knowing he was promised 10% referal bonus. 7days later the site crashed and I was somewhat depressed. It then motivated me to investigate the system that scammed me, I  became involved in cryptocurrency and discovered that I wasn't scammed by cryptocurrency but with cryptocurrency.

You are qualified to join or participate in this program. The requirements are explained by nutildah of course. The question is, will nutildah reward you merits and certificate. I quite like the certificate which I downloaded and stored it. That's the question that only nutildah can answer but if you ask me the i'll reward you a merit/s. For now, you have to wait for op to answer that question. Just give more time, even I am not available all the time plus you only need 45 merits to rank up.

I was searching for some online jobs when i came to know about a term "Bitcoin" and getting free money through Faucets. I earned my first few satoshi through faucets and then focus on learning about this digital currency. Since that day , i can't imagine my life without bitcoin. Later i learned trading and helped my family n friends.
Now my mission is to give awareness of bitcoin and crypto to my country men and for this purpose i try my level best to bring people through social media to this forum especially on to my local board Pakistan and help them understand about bitcoin and trading.

I. I came across BTC around 2013/14 when I was registered on an Indian forum.  I remember asking if using it was legal because it was quite hard to get head around it.

Also, learned about faucets then and created my first blockchain.info wallet.

In the marketplace of that forum, people were giving mobile recharges for doing some tasks. Those tasks were about claiming Stellar airdrop. This airdrop was basically my deep dive into crypto, i came across sites like coingecko, bitcointalk, exchanges etc. I eventually sold that airdrop for ~$50.

Great idea you got here nutildah and hopefully will go as you imagine that it will go. I don't know though how easy will be for you to choose and how many members will take this chance but I'm sure that anyone that you decide to give a scholarship, will surely deserve it. Cool

P.S: I just love the certificates... Grin

Sure, feel free, and I'll update the OP shortly..

From now on I'm only giving away a maximum of 100 merits per user, and please only apply once.

And also I should mention I'm encouraged by the recent applications... I will get around to you individually in a couple of days.
I think your idea is very encouraging, and am happy the way things are going on in it, free of spamming, just like there is some automatic organized setup you placed on it.
I don't know your future plans for this idea, but I hope it one idea that is embedded in the fabrics of the forums, so that not just the presents benefitting from it, it would serve long term purpose on the forum.

I. Without going into too much detail, tell me the story of your first experience with cryptocurrency. It can be about a purchase, payment, other transaction, or just some anecdote about Bitcoin (200 words or less).

On a cloudy day of the last year in high school, during a tea chat with my 3 closest friends by the lake, I suggested them joining hands to buy a bitcoin. Its price was approx USD 1200 at that time and we all heard about bitcoin before. But my friends were afraid and refused. On my own, I bought 0.3 BTC on Bittrex and sold it at the price of approx USD 2800 after 2 months. When I told the deal to the other 3 guys, they were cried out to regret but me, I cried louder when BTC reached USD 19.000 a few months later.

You have writing talent. Your tea ceremony on the beach is a great scenario for buying bitcoins. But a small mistake, or did I misunderstand something, when last year there were such prices for bitcoin?  Huh
Sorry for making you confused. It's the last year of my high school life. There's no tea ceremony, but tea chat is a kind of culture in my country:

This is a good initiative nutildah, congratulations. I'm always up to see members being rewarded with their positive contributions to the community, even though sometimes they may be overshadowed by the amount of posts / content that the forum itself generates. Your scholarship and similar threads run by other members always do end up helping people that may think that all the work that they've had didn't left a mark on people that read through their texts.

What do you think of having a list right on your first post where you'll say which members actually were awarded those awesome designed tickets of yours? I assume that whenever the thread gets long people will have a hard time knowing who was awarded or not, and having a list always facilitates that aspect of the program.

Also, perhaps it would be good to state the maximum number of times a people may apply for this scholarship. Or at least define a X period of time that the "winner" can't apply again just to give room to others to receive the merit as well.

@nutildah, this is a great initiative for those in need and will help forum contributor with a lower rank than hero member. Honestly, I also really want to participate in this thread if the airdrop merit doesn't apply because so far I've only received 222 merit (excluding airdop). But I will not impose my will and only hope that other people will also have the same initiative that want to help hero member reach Legendary rank. So, to all certificate recipient, hopefully their contribution will increase and congratulation because your application has been approved.

Congrats! You're the first recipient of the Full Scholarship Award. And you're also exactly the character of member that was meant to benefit from this scholarship... For those who are willing to achieve but without the necessary means for a necessary means for a higher rank.

Take your certificate!

As I suspected but initially forgot about, we're limited to 50 merits per account per 30 days. So if you remind me in 30 days I'll give you 50 more, hopefully you can get the remaining 13 in 60 days.

Holy smokes, thank you so much for the Merits and the cert!

You have a worthy application but you are 225 merits away from ranking up; I was thinking this is better suited for those who need less than 50 or even 100 merits (my fault for not stating that explicitly).

Instead of leaving you empty-handed, I'm awarding you a partial scholarship of 25 merits.

Congratulations, you are the first recipient! Enjoy your merits and this official certificate to commemorate the occasion.

That's alright and thank. By the way, you have statrd it now that it's better for those who are almost ranking up to hero member so, I decided to merit those who are worthy to rank up to hero member in this urban achievers merit scholarship program. I was only suggesting this, I am quite new to this forum if compared to nutildah, he can decide to look it or not. He knows the best to do. He may even leave it like this, I thought it will be congested with newbies useless posts before, but not the ways I thought.

In case nutildah doesn't have the required sMerits, but finds an applicant (or more of them) that deserve to get a boost to rank up, there is always the option to report such posts in the Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source thread. You can explain and post a link back to this thread to clarify your initiative. One of the forum's merit sources will then likely step in and help.
It depends, if the posts has been reported there before, later posted here, that means it is no more qualified to be report again. But if it has not been reported before, it can be reported and if merit source see it to be given merit, it will be given.

It occurred to me there should be a merit "scholarship program" for accounts lower than Hero who deserve to rank up.

The forum has been losing a bit of steam over the years and this type of a program serves as an attempt to retain some of our best talent, most creative or knowledgeable members and such. These types of members should be rewarded for their contribution and incentivized to stick around.

It is not meant for those looking to farm accounts or who are here solely to shitpost for cash, or less than cash.

For those who submit a competitive application which demonstrates they are capable of contributing to the Bitcointalk community for its betterment in any capacity, they will be awarded enough merits to rank up to the next rank (all the way to Hero Member; limited to one award per member).

However, award distribution is also based on consideration of the program's merit supply. For example, if you are a Senior Member with 490 merits, you are much more likely to get the award than a Senior Member with 250 merits; everything else being equal.

If I don't get around to you, please don't take it personally; I don't have infinity merits and will wait for a day or two before considering anything, anyway.

Incorrectly filled applications will be rejected.

For me based in my first experience regarding cryptocurrency in transacting amount  from Trust wallet to Coins ph it is really difficult due that a lot of things that I encounter ,I thought first the amount will be directly send to my Coins ph but it's different to my expectation and
I ashame to myself. But before that I encounter difficulties because it's my first time transacting of an amount And I felt nervous thinking about transact that it will be invalid or maybe sent to the other accounts. So that I make sure my names and number are correct and the most important things is my Wallet are correct and good to say that I saw in the upper side which is the QR code, will I felt great that I can easily scan the code. Transacting amounts is not really easy it takes time ,maybe  one and half of hour doing my first transaction. Transacting amount are have an transaction fee and now I aware of that matters and it's okay for me cause that is a normal things doing transaction at this point I'm scared paying the transaction fee that I felt will be gone or desappear in short time so I confirmed the payment and I waiting cause there is a process cause they are collecting our wallet and information to send the amount. I waited for a long hour's and felt paint that the money will not be send and I pray also to the above hoping  that may transaction will be successful and after that long hour's I receive a message in my Google that I received the amount. This is my first and remarkable experienced regards transaction it is really hard in the first place but in the second time so on will gladly great and no more hassle. By Quoting this not just to apply but just to share my remarkable experienced about transaction.

Also good I think if you have a committee or other members whose willing to give merits for those who deserved and will also awards smerits. Just a suggestion so many would benefit and criticise and check with the post of the respondents if they are deserving. Also youll run out of merit for quite sometime.

MY ANSWER

I first came across a coin called Bitcoin in 2016. But I didn't know where it was made or what it was used for. But later I came to know about this side. But I didn't know how it works here. But I found out that virtual dollars are available here. And now I am looking for something good in all places / threads with the importance of it.
The main reason for giving this post to me is that no one is afraid to go to this side and move forward on their own. So that the new talent inside them can spread among everyone. So that others benefit because of their own talent To come,

NOTE:If anyone doesn't know a topic, create a topic here. Thousands of seniors will agree with your answer. Shocked
