Hello!
I'm currently running 1x R9 280x card, mining DGC.
The cgminer shows stable 723Kh/s, but pool stats say it's 200-400Kh/s. Once it was 570Kh/s but just for a few minutes..
What's wrong with pool stats? And if it is wrong with hashes, then maybe it is wrong with my earned DGCs?

Hi,

i have the same hashrate problem here,
1x R9 280x card, mining DGC at dgc.theblocksfactory.com

i'm mining now for hours, with a constant hashrate of 720 kH/S wit 0% hardware error

but the stats on the pool report a very fluctuating rate between 160 and 400 kH/S

what can explain ?

thanks

When calculating profitability, you can be more accurate with the information on the stats page : http://wdc.theblocksfactory.com/statsAuth

You have :
  • Block found Avg. diff (last 24h), you should put that difficulty on the calculator
  • Orphan %
  • Your stale %
  • The pool fee %

Orphan+Your Stale+Pool fee is what you should deduce from coinwarz WDC column (you can see if you move the fee, it doesn't change the WDC paid ... so you have to do the math yourself)

The last unknow is the luck ^^

I have added some users stats :

% Stale
WDC mined last 24h

I have modified the calculation of the estimate WDC/day

Seems like including stale % + Orphan % + pool fee % I measured the last 9h for old difficulty and 24h equivalent would have been 11wdc/24h, according coinwarz with 86% efficiency I should get 12wdc.

So now when including luck my guess is that 11wdc vs 12wdc is fairly even.

im getting about 20 wdc/day on 2.2 mh/s.

you don't think that's low?
Feels like mining ltc and converting to wdc is more profitable then?

according coinwarz I should be getting 14wdc/24h with 560khash...

Can someone give me some help regarding tweaking my 7950 for WDC, as it is now seems like I'm better off mining LTC and then converting them to WDC.

I have measured and have 2676 valid shares and 216 invalid shares, so in total:
216/(216+2676)=7.5% invalid shares.

I guess after subtracting the 4% invalid for WDC I have 3.5% so I guess it's more normal?

According my calculations I'm getting about 10wdc/24h with my 7950 560khash, according coinwarz I should be getting 14wdc/24h so it's 30% less then coinwarz, rather big difference.

GUIMiner-scrypt alpha: Thread concurrency 16384, worksize 256, Vectors 1, I 20, Gpu Threads 1, use stratum yes.
Gpu is only mining nothing else.

ill open one its pathetic that it was even allowed to get this high.ill open a PPS HBN Pool same goes for WDC for anyone here who is interested in WDC. there is a 0.5% fee prop pool with a 50WDC Block Bonus for the next 5 people who find a block and all fees/donations go back out to the community via schaermbeck.

Thanks ahemd. I can't blame lucazane at all, it is one of the smoothest pools out there.   I have query as well to another pool runner. Hopefully we can get back to 3 or 4 here shortly.

Thanks all.

I have temporaly put a very high fee(4%) on the HBN pool because we have 80 % of network hashrate and I want to motivate some miners to switch at least sometimes on others pools

I am going to work on getting a few more pools open. Coinex is down for upgrade, and the other 2 went awol.  You are it for now. Enjoy the extra HBN, the price is starting to rise very nicely.
I have already a lot ^^ there are generating a lot of stake ^^

Hi lucazane I just want to make sure we use caution with the HBN pool. I realize it is not your fault, but you are now controlling a very large % of the hash rate. So please be sure you are getting sync checkpoints and relaying to as many peers as possible, just so we don't get into a fork situation.  Everything is working great, just keeping everything as smooth as possible.

Thanks!
maxconnection is 1000
Now 20 peers.

But I don't now how to check if I have the last check point

Just look for ProcessSyncCheckpoint in the debug.log

$ egrep 'ProcessSyncCheckpoint|SetBestChain:' debug.log |tail -2
SetBestChain: new best=00000002755c8f2db42e  height=403402  trust=346301143475
date=12/11/13 22:15:10
ProcessSyncCheckpoint: sync-checkpoint at 00000002755c8f2db42e4730ba45913714e1c0
4cf8d8be7cdcd3ae85a61adf46

Each block is currently getting a checkpoint, for now. If you don't see this, you maybe on the wrong chain(unlikely), or the server is down. In which case I will fix as soon as I can.

BTW you run a very good pool. Up time is great, good support. Thanks so much for your support of HBN. Good luck
