I might even expect everyone to do so but it won't be easy and it is unlikely that all the scam projects will disappear. considering there are so many projects popping up every day. but trying to see changes about the project also doesn't hurt while adding to our experience in selecting projects.
It's good some campaigns are paying in BTC but we can not say the bounty scam will gradually go away because it is very very limited. Scammers will keep scamming the way they are doing for a long. It depends on us how wisely we select the project. Even bounty hunters know very well most of the projects scam the hunters.
I don't think to agree to bounty scam going gradually away, we have many greedy investors who will continue to take advantage of bounty hunters and since this deals with human beings I doubt if is going to go but I will rather say reduced because I know many new development will arise to curb all this cheat.
If we look at it basically, everyone will not like and agree with all the fraudsters in crypto, so if in the future there will be new developments that can curb all scammers, I think it is much better because with such a thing, the scammers will starts to diminish and those who intend to cheat again will think up to 10 times to do it.

I think the emphasis is on the rules set by the manager. when all campaign managers can band together to only promote the projects they are researched and good at, there will be fewer con artists. so we can trust projects handled by the manager, not projects handled by his own team.

actually the bounty scam will never disappear gradually instead it will continue to grow if the market looks green or there is some hype, like some time ago when the Defi hype, we see thousands of scammers popping up every day and to avoid all that we must research carefully
people will learn about the characteristics of a bounty scam. it's just that, there are still many people who don't learn about it, and immediately register themselves, and do assignments without doing research. this is proven by so many reports of the results of working on social media bounties. after all, there will always be people like that, but little by little, people will learn the difference between choosing a potential scam project, and also not.
don't forget to also choose a bounty that has used escrow because in my opinion it's safer, if the bounty is complete the bounty manager will send payments directly to bounty hunter
The reward is safe yeah. But the worth/the value of the reward is still questionable.If the reward you get from bounty worth nothing once get listed in exchange, then that token is pretty much useless. I mean, having an escrow to escrow the funds is really good and make the project much more trusted but still it's back to the team about how do they manage the price to stay in good-range.
Things are getting more worsen in bounties today, if you don't open your eye very well you will keep promoting scam projects over and over again, scammers are reshaping their hunting skills, now they are even using AI tech to present fake videos with real team members just to deceive, scams isn't going away anytime soon infact its getting worse

Obviously it won't go away because we can't control it. Scam projects are still created and have a bounty campaign, it's so bad that even people know it's a scam but still join and contribute work to those projects. Now that the bounty hunters are being so vigilant in identifying a much legit bounties, it really lessen gradually the numbers of scam/fraud bountied which for us bounty hunter is a very good thing because at some point we can potential earn and get paid from all the hard work, effort and time that we gave for a certain bounty campaign. Hope that other bounty manager adopt the paymend method that instead of paying the project's token they maybe try to ask the developer to pay us bounty hunter in terms of stablecoins in this case I think it is a win-win situation to all the parties.

Even thorough verification, they will still be scammed if the dev team decided to run away with their stash. The bounty scam will go away if there will be no more hunters that are willing to participate their program. I think that's the only way they will be stopped. If only participants will just join bitcoin-paying campaigns handled by reputable BMs here, then only serious projects will eventually make their campaigns here in the forum.

For new people, of course it is still difficult to avoid some kind of bounty scam, besides the lack of knowledge, scammers are also very smart in doing their job,so we have to read often so that we have extensive knowledge and also as you said as a bounty hunter we have to do deeper verification.

It is imposible that bounty scams will go away because there is always a fool bounty manager that Operates bounty even he knows that it is a scam, it is just a money matter for them and also for the part of bounty hunters be careful on what bounty you have may join and please do more effort to conduct a research for it.
This will certainly be a shame, honestly. Such BMs should be called out so that others take note of their sleazy intentions. I once called one out few months ago here and the BM went ballistic. Instead of accepting their fault and mending their way the BM was belligerent and irresponsible, attacking those who disagreed with them and tagging any they felt they could tag in the process. That also got the BM red trusted by some DT members. Beyond all that, I believe this crypto space is still a big risk because sometimes you get to find projects you think were genuine turned fake before you could say Jack Robinson! Actually now the most of project paying their token to rebuild the trust of bounty among participants.After 2017,their was huge scam bounty and create a disaffection over bounty.But now the view of bounty hunters was changing positively.
in 2017 there were huge amount of bounties and not surprising that there were many scams. now the quantity of bounties is well lower and the payment is lower too so the bounty hunters are not so active.
Service and Bounty are completely different. As for the Services, they pay us with their cash but in return we need to market them with all our efforts. At the service, the quality of the article is brought to the top and so the admin will censor very strictly to accept the participants.

The latest scam method at airdrops is "send us 0.005 eth and we will give you the airdrop, the money is for transaction fee's" is going around becoming huge. Thankfully most airdrops are telegram based with auto bots and telegram labels a project scam when enough people report it as scam so there is a bit of prevention but it takes a while and during that period they may actually get away with it.
I have checked one of them to see how much they made and they made only 110 dollars from scamming people and that gave me hope, it looks like people are finally not going into scam that much, sure that 110 dollars is sad and gone for some people and it could be a lot of money to some people but I remember millions of dollars stolen by scam projects so we are on the right track.

Bounty scam will not go away as long as there are hunters that are willing to join even if the project is an obvious scam. But it is good to see that there are now social media campaigns that are bitcoin paying. Though we already saw that before, but seems, it is going back again. The good thing is that the manager handling that campaign does accept btc and not token or unknown alt. That is also for the welfare of the participants. At least, they are sure that they are getting paid with valuable coin rather than worthless token that is not yet listed in an exchange.
Thank you, your first line is exactly what I wanted to say, bounty scam can not go away as long as bounty remains, the only thing I know is that the rate to which bounty scams happen might reduce with time, but I dont think it can ever go away entirely, even though this is what we all wish and pray for.Social media bounties now paying in btc is a welcome development and I know fans of social media like Twitter and Facebook will grab this opportunity to make some good money for themselves.
