being cheap is not based on price it is based on price AND value or compared to its value. for example if value of bitcoin is $6000 and someone is selling it at $3000 then it means bitcoin is cheap at the moment but if the value of bitcoin is $6000 and someone is selling it at $10000 and it has fallen from $20000 it does NOT mean it is cheap it still means it is overvalued.

that is the case with most altcoins. they have no usage and the bag holders are leaving so the current prices are still not considered cheap.

Cheap and valuable coins are now very difficult to find, and now the price of new coins in the cryptocurrency market will be high, as bitcoin remains high. Once a coin is cheap, it is not necessarily valuable, and some coins are facing death.

I will take advantage of buying ethereum, because now ethereum coins are in a low price position and this is the best moment to be used as a way to get profit when prices are high in the future.

You can choose cheap coin as the money you create, or you can choose cheap coin that is safe, it can be BTC or ETH depending on your choice and by learning about them from you. Most crypto currencies are cheap right now because of the previous volatility, but I think the BTC is now merging for you to invest Grin

What you mean is lower with the ones that currently dipped?

I say that if you're into cheapest coins, choose those that has high volumes so you can trade well with it. If there's no volume but the coin is cheap and you just wanted to buy it, good luck on how long you're going to wait before selling it.

I agree with you it will be totally foolish to directly go on with the cheap coin without knowing its 24 hour daily trading volumes & if not checked investors funds will be locked for 6 months or year or who knows permanently. Its better to invest in Recent ICOs which were in huge hypes like Fantom, Moneytoken, Dxchain, Sentinel Protocol, Money Token etc which are already trading at 10% values as compare to its ICO price but have good volumes. If this project jump on its original price one can easily make huge profits which I feel can happen anytime, Just need to diversify investments strategically to take maximum advantage over time.

right now many altcoins are starting to die, for example, Steemit.
they fired a lot of their staff because of this dumpage, that means every other project will do the same to maintain their project or some of them might be closed up because of it.
buying the cheapest altcoin is very risky in this market, of course, another thing that we need to consider before choosing it is its price movement.
how far it went down from its ATH? and what is going on with that project right now? do they still deliver something to the community? or not?

It is a wise move to buy the cheapest coins today but we have considered the coins that have higher volume. Do some research on the current market of every coin. We can also diversify some of our funds on buying Bitcoin just to make sure that we have also a good investment both Altcoin and BTC.

The choice for investment by looking at the current market, I prefer Bitcoin. Bitcoin has fallen from its highest price, and it's time to return the price, by buying Bitcoin.
But also do not forget to buy other cheap altcoins that have large volumes on the market.

yes, buying coins at the right choice for this time, some people talk to invest in coins that are not listed in the top 10 or even top 100 coin markets and they believe that the coin will succeed.
but for me the best investment is only in bitcoin, or if you want to buy coins from ICO CPT(Contents Protocol Tokens) are the best choice.
they have several big investors from Hashed, Signum Capital, OKEX, Cocoa Ventures (Equity), Arrington XRP Capital, IOST, LD Capital.

Almost many top 20-30 favorite altcoins down to almost 20-30 times down from their all time highs. Cardano, Ethereum, Digixdao, Golem, Neo and many.  It is real time to buy some of them to get 10 times easily when crypto bounce back in future.

I think it is better not to focus on price per coin but on the total marketcap, most projects in 2017 have one year vesting period and that should end now and most of these locked tokens are coming to the market and is not good for retail investors because with low volumen this is likely going to crash the prices. I will advice people to buy into projects that are atleast two years old listed on big exchanges

we must be careful not to get stuck with cheap coins but end up in rubbish, if you buy cheap coins then you have to know how many communities and project programs in the future, we can see the coin base through the volume on the market.

it really depends on how much you invest in I think

Some altcoins go down upto 0.001$ or so.

Research more and you can see the answer.  Roll Eyes

Buying any coin in the dip is a good idea. Most people talking about the cheapest coins has a huge potential to reach the market cap but not all. Because you have to check out about the project future updates on that coin before you buy. Then do your own research before you buy a coin.
