Everything about cryptocurrency is done online, which is one of the reasons why it is doing better, despite the economic melt down, which is caused by the pandemic and which affects several activities, most especially those that involve offline presence. That's what you see on TV, newspapers. What I see in my real life, i lost my job, many people around me in same situation. Many stores are closed and they do not reopen, despite of everything get better and many stores reopen, some close forever. The covid-19 virus has damaged the economy very badly. Stocks and Cryptos crash because money flow run into cash and gold.

They are already here and they are in control of the bitcoin they have, so they can sell anytime they want.
Maybe we should also blame people for not educating themselves and getting fooled by the scammers, and at least we know how much they are holding, we will understand what it will effect to the market if they will dump.

I totally agree with what the OP said holding unto ones funds because of the downtrend in the crude oil etc market doesnt seems right because it also possible for fiat currency to loose so much value if recession happen and the perfect way for people to hold their fund is through crypto and gold.

Covid-19 does influenced the world economy negatively which also causes panic sell in the crypto market but it doesnt every investors bear mode as we speak because the crypto investors that bought during the $7000 price range have already make some dollars profit.

In the beginning it was affected but now that the government are spending a lot of money to battle the virus, we know what is the effect it will brought to the economy, so people now are smarter, they will put their money on something that will not inflate its value and due to that demand bitcoin has increased its value.
