The contract still has two more seasons to go for Erik ten Hag to manage Manchester United. Judging by the progress he has made, I believe that in the 2024/2025 season, Man United will have the best team composition and will be able to challenge Man City's dominance in every league.
He will sign more Netherlands or Ajax players because it's easier to teach them due to from the same region and has been managed by him Cheesy

Ten Hag is a good manager, he have show both of Ajax and FC Utrecht improving when he was the manager, but what I don't like Ten Hag he force the players to play with his strategy. If there's a player can't play in his strategy, he will find the new player instead of combine or consider using other strategy.

Up until now, I still hope that Ten Hag can be retained by the club and carve out a new legacy, just as Sir Alex Ferguson did during his glorious era. A manager still requires time to piece together the player puzzle and create a perfect outcome.
Those days are gone. A manager can probably retain his job for two or three years if his team can maintain a decent or acceptable result like being in the top 4 or top 7 at least. Anything below that then you could expect him to be sacked at the end of the season or even before that. Owners and fans wants to see immediate results but it's not that easy to let go of underperforming players so they axe the manager instead.

However, Ten Hag deserves respect for taking Man United far in his first season. He did well in the final against a great Man City team, but I also recognize a Man United team that is growing all the time under manager Ten Hag.

Man City is too superior to Man United AT THIS TIME! But even so, at least Man United have now found the right coach to return to being a respected team in Europe, after more than a decade United have been confused about finding a replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson.

I don't understand what you meant by Manchester City is too superior to Manchester United. Do you understand what superiority means or you decided to use it out of context. We all know that Manchester City is arguably the most inform club in the world but that did not make Manchester United not to face them equally.
I have to praise Manchester United who rather started the match in a bad way. Imaging in less than 1 minute into a final, a team like Manchester city scored. Bit Manchester United had to fight to equalize and they continued to press until the second non serious goal entered. Both goals were not outstanding and definitely goalkeeper's fault.

Can you remember the score line of Manchester City vs Manchester United last meeting before the finals? It was in favour of Manchester United, so get your data well before you declare.
Yeah maybe too excited, so I use that word. Yes, I know the last game Man City lost to Man United before this final match. I mean man city this season is too strong to be beaten in important matches because of the ambition to get a treble winner. There's nothing wrong with having a different perspective, I saw that match. There's nothing Man United can do, only two beautiful goals from Gundogan. The first was completely unstoppable and the second had perfect bounce and good luck on target. chances are De Gea can save the second goal maybe, but I think he saw it too late.

However, Ten Hag deserves respect for taking Man United far in his first season. He did well in the final against a great Man City team, but I also recognize a Man United team that is growing all the time under manager Ten Hag.

Here we can learn that building a team is not as easy as turning your palm. A coach like Pep Guardiola since his arrival to Man City in 2016 has only felt the results now, after several EPL winning seasons. And now advanced to the champions league final. If Man city won the champion, Pep Guardiola's struggle with Man City had been achieved for 7 years. What a journey.

Ilkay Gundogan scored 2 very classy goals in the match. De Bruyne style goals. City added a new one to its trophy collection. They managed to win with a good game and without pushing themselves.
I think Gundogan's Goal will be the club's most beautiful goal of the year. What's more interesting, last year's EPL Champion was also because he scored 2 goals, Man city's first and last goals. Now he scored 2 winning goals for Man city, it's not wrong for him to be made the captain of Man City.

Congratulations Manchester City winners FA Cup

The journey of Manchester City winning triplet this season is becoming more real as the only club I feel can stop them has failed.
  • English Premier league  won
  • The Emirates FA cup won
  • Europe Champions league Loading...
I am not sure Inter Milan can stop Guardiola and his boys.

This is going to be a perfect season for Manchester City if they win the Champions League title as well. Today in the FA Cup final match we watched really nice performances from both sides. Gundogan was the star of the match surely. Manchester United actually had a chance to score the equalizer in the last minutes but they wasted a huge opportunity. I still appreciate Manchester United for putting up a good fight against the best team in England right now. There is a huge difference between these teams normally.

Manchester United still don't need to get too sad about this result because they already won the EFL Cup title. This is a start for them with Erik ten Hag and I'm looking forward to seeing them getting better by next season.

On the game itself, I would say a couple of injuries might limited Man United and Rashford to be in good shape too, but then Garnacho really should started the game, I really don't care how young he his, but he's got the talent to take on City defenders which he did conveniently after being subbed in, aside, I however believe that the penalty against City was a really harsh one to say the least, in a match as sensitive as this the referee shouldn't have made such call but then in the end it is what it is, so it's 2 down and one 1 to go, a win in the CL final should be an icing on the cake of Guardiola's legacy as a Man City coach.

Garnacho is a raw talent that can actually take on the city defense but starting him wouldn’t have been productive because Ten Hag has actually experimented such before and it showed that the boy can cope and one’s the game continues. The only player I would have picked out of that united starting eleven would have been Ericksson in place for Werghost. Erickson couldn’t keep to the tempo and pace of the game. Also starting without a proper center forward will only get the likes of Rashford and Sancho and exposed. Had Werghost started, is such a disturbing fellow that some of the build ups from the back won’t have been done. Also Erickson and Fred in the midfield drove Bruno to wing which made him not to have much impact on the match.

Also the Penalty wasn’t cheaply given because there was contact on the ball which actually deflected the ball head in by wan Bissaka outside its intended target, and Grealish’s wasn’t at a natural position. People say it is just the finger tips but we have seen where Goalkeepers use finger tips to make saves. If you could recall same penalty was awarded against United when they played Brighton last month

well, manchester city got their best players onto the field so the instant city did that the chances of manchester united winning this game became almost impossible, not to say impossible, city is clearly a team that is at a very high level above manchester united and this is very visible, the big differences between these two teams are in the way they play and also in the attack, manchester united does not have a good attack, and it continues to be strange that manchester united spends so much money on player salaries that they aren't even very productive and they make ridiculous and unnecessary hires, I heard a couple of days ago that there's a rumor that manchester united intends to hire another goalkeeper

honestly they already have a good goalkeeper, why are they going to spend money on a good goalkeeper instead of looking at their attack which is a mediocre attack? I didn't see any rumors or news saying that manchester united would hire great strikers, it seems to me that next season they won't play to win the premier league and much less to win the champions league, manchester united is a team without great ambitions , so I don't expect manchester united to achieve anything big next season. city's mission this season is completed as far as domestic competition is concerned, now they just need to win the champions league for city fans' dream to come true
Manchester City won the English FA Cup by beating Manchester United by 2 goals to nil but to me it was an unconvincing win for them because they really struggled to create chances like the Manchester City we've seen all season.
The UEFA Champions League final awaits City who are very determined to win the treble this season but if they play against their opponents Inter Milan the same way they did against United, they might not survive the outcome.

However I must admit that his first goal was just something else. de Gea didn't have much thing to do against that amazing mid-air shot. The goal even came in the first 10-15 seconds of the game which was another surprising thing. Guardiola stated after the game that he loved Gundogan also despite being married.  Grin
I admit it too, first goal Gundogan is great goal and It was an unstoppable goal for de Gea, he really shocked and who would have thought that he would instantly kick from that position. If not mistaken, Gundongan first goal also make new history fastest goal in the FA Cup final.

Amazing Sir ! I'll say congratulations to Manchester City who have successfully won another trophy this season, actually I doubt them but it seems true what people say, Manchester City have a very big chance of getting three trophy this season. Currently they have 2 trophy, and one more is still waiting for them in the UCL to take it home.

Unlike the usual performance of Manchester City we watched something different here. Manchester United did a really good job against them honestly. Maybe they lost anyway but they at least prevented the game from becoming a one-sided one. The score was a fair one for a game like this. Gundogan carried the team to the victory for sure with beautiful 2 goals.

Gundogan is likely to leave the team this summer and join Barcelona probably. This is a great gift to his team before his departure and we might see another solid effort from him maybe in the Champions League finale also.

Predictable win for the financial doping cheats with 115 pending charges against them...
I would have said you are a sore loser but you are a Liverpool fan and did not technically lose today. And it was a predictable win, City were not at their best tonight or Manchester United know how to keep them off their fluid game which they have used to lethal consequence though out the season.

Another expected win for them on June 1oth, but the game of football is full of pleasant surprises, just maybe we have one of those moments next weekend.

There are a few points in the game that caught my attention. At Manchester United, some players did not move to head the airborne ball from certain positions. Fans also reacted to it. Manchester City want to take the trophy in all the lanes they play. He fights very well for that too. I don't see such a situation at Manchester United. They play games as if they have no desire to win the match. This is perhaps due to the fact that Manchester City is a very good team.

Ilkay Gundogan scored 2 very classy goals in the match. De Bruyne style goals. City added a new one to its trophy collection. They managed to win with a good game and without pushing themselves.

I see this season as the best and most successful season for Man city because they might be able to win the treble as they have already won two trophies. It is not a surprise that Man city won the game due to the fact that city is the most favorite because of their consistent performance in their matches. Man united played had a brilliant performance today and they struggled so hard to make sure that they equalized the second goal but luck wasn't on their side. The season will be the luckiest season for Pep if he wins Inter next season. I placed a bet on this game and I won this is a perfect one.
I think Manchester City's form in the FA Cup final was a bit different to some of the other big match.
They dominated the game, but some Manchester City players lost the ball too easily and failed to pass perfectly. I only got that impression at a few moments, but overall their passing accuracy is still very good in percent.

Manchester United also had good effort to give their best, but Manchester United was very unlucky about some of the chances. Manchester City's defense was good, they were quite stable although there were some mistakes towards the end of match. So I also congratulate Manchester City and whoever their fans are on the forums, and they really deserve to win it.

Inter Milan winning is a big no. But I'm placing my bet on Inter Milan still. All I want to do is to enjoy the game.
It's going to be quite competitive no doubt because the two sides both have impressive records. Milan (4wins, 1 draw)  Torino( 3wins, 2 draws) and I'm expecting the visitors to upset Torino not minding that they have the finals to play.

They would need to win today's game so they can move up to second place.

The second half saw an improvement in Manchester United's performance. In the first half, they appeared relaxed as if they didn't want to defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup finals.
This FA Cup finals that Manchester United's loss to Manchester City will make the Red Devils their nine-time of losing FA Cup finals than other clubs. It's quite shameful.

Let’s hope Inter can save football next weekend by stopping Man City winning the CL, I doubt it though.
I have my doubts as well because Manchester City seems unstoppable this season in their pursuit of a treble trophy. They will use all of their effort to win the champions league finals for the first time. Despite the fact that it won't be an easy game, I am confident they will prevail in the end.

Well, not the best of starts for United Grin

City to do a treble this season? Seems quite likely right now.
Not even the best start for both clubs. Manchester City's performance has reduces drastically. They are not playing in the manner of Manchester City I once knew. I'm not sure if it's because their key players have been on the bench(not playing in their last 2 matches) in preparation for FA Cup and the champions league finals. Manchester City may win the triple crown this year, but they shouldn't utilize the same strategy they employed while playing Manchester United to defeat Inter in the champions league finals. If not, Inter might defeat them and win the Champions League.

Right now, Manchester City has a 2-1 victory. Six minutes into the second half (51 minutes), Gundogan once again netted the second goal with a left-footed shot.

It's well deserved win for Manchester City and not too bad a final match, intense for majority of the time, but then what a way to end your last season with a club for Ilkay Gundogan, he's been an absolute menace for Man City in these pass few weeks, and a very important piece for this Man City side.

That's what you get the attacking players doing, running to and fro without coordination, the midfielder's from Manchester United weren't supplying enough balls or creating enough chances for the attackers how do you expect the attackers to cope?
Christian Eriksen shouldn't have started the second half again, at least, Fred did a good job disturbing Kevin De Brunye, but that didn't stop Gundogan from stepping up to help Manchester City lift the title.

Inter Milan winning is a big no. But I'm placing my bet on Inter Milan still. All I want to do is to enjoy thegake as it goes next week, I don't want to take sides for this finals, but it does look like Manchester City are clear enough to win the Champions League. Congratulations to them today.
