It will be very hard bitcoin to become useless. Especially that bitcoin has already been used for payments. And you asked if how many years will it become useless? No definite years because I cannot see that it will come to an end. Rather, I can see future using blockchain technology with most of the merchandise.

Then end you are talking about is clearly like the doom of humanity or the industry which is always can happen now or in the future but nobody knows if it is really going to happen. Bitcoin still has a chance and is still able to be mined, the supply of bitcoin is still abundant and has not run out so it is still feasible to continue to be an investment. We already know that nothing is permanent and nobody is perfect but consider the range of time on how long could Bitcoin stand on its ground. If ever someone has come up with some brilliant idea that could replace Bitcoin, then why not? If it is for the better good of the community then we stand to choose what's the best for us.

I agree with you. There's really no downside that cannot be beaten in the future i believe.

I also have no doubt that it will have a very great future. But the best part from my point of view is that the Blockchain technology will bring a lot of useful things to the society as a whole.

Robots will be interesting, but with Blockchain a whole new aspect could be opened completely.

Noone argue that bitcoin came here for long period of time. But you must to agree that today we almost do not use physical money. Cards, Apple pay and many other apps which allow us to not open our wallet's. That's what I meant by saying "cashless" and it's happening with us already today!
