When I was in college we were taught that the price of any commodity is determined by the factors of demand and Supply to a large extent.
In your understanding, do you think that the price of bitcoin is determined by the factors of demand and supply?
very precise and correct because of that price and value of crypto currency cannot be predicted with certainty and it is one of the risks in investing using crypto currency so in other words the development of crypto currencies depends on the investor itself

of course it is!  and since the supply of bitcoin is fix and it is decreasing because of lost coins, and the demand is growing everyday, i assume that its price is going in the positive direction. why the demand is growing? more merchants are accepting bitcoin as payment method, more companies are integrating blockchain technology within their operations, and popular companies are creating their own coins, and more people are understanding its benefits and usage. in these mentioned scenarios, at one point along the process, someone needs bitcoin to participate in the system. so yes, i strongly believe that demand is growing. just my 2 cents.  Wink

i guess, demand and supply greatly influence price movements and that can be a major factor.   but this alone does not determine the price. the price is determined by the whales with too many bitcoins in hand.

I think thats the same. Whales have huge supply and in that case, it will be impactful in terms of price in the market. The interesting fact about Bitcoin and altcoins is, it has limited supply which will be a good indication of a good high price when theres a strong demand with the supply in the market.

I am totally sure that the market moves by the Supply-Demand, in fact, if you apply Wyckoff's theory, the Bitcoin chart fully complies with this law, because if the Demand is greater than the offer the price rises and if the Demand is lower than the Offer, the price down.

The volume of transactions can be observed and the Law of Effort-Result is fully applicable, this applies, since Bitcoin has an acceptable market structure, that is, it can study its Accumulation and Distribution phases.

Many speculators use different theories of study, some investors apply their knowledge to acquire profits, because they are completely sure that this market obeys the Law of Supply-Demand, which is something different from Stock Market, because in the market of cryptocurrencies , there is a high volatility, and that is what makes this type of market interesting.
Nobody is now having doubt for accepting bitcoin, which is best thing in price rising quality of bitcoin, I can see high demand in future because now in some countries bitcoin is really at top investment and rest are making researches, so as demand and supply affects the price, it is a positive sign for future high price of bitcoin and other crypto currency.
We cant still say such thing. If such situation is already happening then we wont see this kind of stability when it comes to price of Bitcoin but well
there are some various countries already considering such tech which is a good thing to pile up on future runs. For now people or institutions are just
waiting up for more established transactions or arrangements towards crypto full adoption.

If i may get you right the law of demand and supply states the higher the price the lower the demand vise versa. if this is what you mean base on my accounting Knowledge i shall tell you that you do not have all the fact because cryptocurrency is affected by a lots of chain reaction factors which may include Negative news about bitcoin, propaganda and falsehood, wallet hack etc all these put together can affect bitcoin supply and demand.

At my initial stage in bitcoin investment I was made to understand that demand and supply determines the price of the bitcoin and I believe it's true, if you take a look at it, when there was so much hype, the price shot up because the demand was freakishly high, but right now everything seems to have gone down and it did so with the price.
But there must be other factors other than this that determines the price, but this happens to be the one I'm very sure of

In crypto market it demand is mostly about shilling and marketing strategy of the project team. Supply also is set and mostly fixed at the beginning of the ico stage.

I believe that the price of crypto, especially bitcoin, is caused by demand and supply factors. crypto market as well as traditional markets. When the supply of goods is large but the demand for goods is small, the goods will be sold at a low price so that the goods can be sold quickly, whereas if the supply of goods is small and the demand for goods is very high, the price of the item will rise so is bitcoin on the crypto market.

It is easy like that that demand and supply factors affect crypto prices, the lack of demand levels will make market prices go down and vice versa.

Have you doubted about that, OP? I mean, the bitcoin's price is affected through supply and demand. The higher the price of bitcoin, the lower the supply and the higher the demand of it in the market. I am also open in some possibilities that crisis and big news will still affect the btc's price. Whales can also manipulate the market and they are the big investors in cryptocurrency.

thinking as demand and supply; price of Bitcoins goes up and down as if each bitcoin was being sold where buyers and sellers wander in and out, each seller assumng his coin has a certain value, and each buyer willing to pay only some specific top price, so exchange prices. And when some buyer and some seller agree on a agreement price,  transfer is occured.

yes it was the right factor because when your product is released it will not be more valuable in the beginning stage when the demand will increase then only the price value will go to grow very fast so the price of any product or commodity well Defined by the factors of demand that people how much wanted to use it for their life.

We don't  know what is the real reason of the falling value of bitcoin but as you said i think just more like that. It basing on the stocks which is the demand and supply. Crypto was almost same with stock market and correct me if im wrong that if stock market fall crypto was also fall this is base on my observation.
indeed, between the crypto market, stocks, forex, commodities have similarities in the market, but I do not agree that if the stock market falls, crypto also falls, because both have different investors

This kind of things in crypto currencies should be prevented. I mean, we can prevent it and look for a project with a company already or a real product in the market.
It can't be prevented when greed is the main driver here. Legitimate projects continue to struggle because they can't make senseless claims that scam projects can to attract insane amounts of funds.

In the same way, these scam projects have large balances to make themselves pop up everywhere on social media, while the legitimate projects rely on 'mouth to mouth' social media marketing coming from actual users....

It's an unfair world we live in, but as long as greed remains the main driver here, scam projects will continue to pump harder and thus net you more profit during the next bull wave.

Is there anything you know that is not like that? Of course the price of Bitcoin is being determined by the rate of demand and that of supply. That’s why sometimes you will see some people talking about whales who comes to pump the market price at times. It’s because the price is determined by demand and supply, that’s why they are able to do that (and also the bitcoin can also be easily manipulated), when demand (buy) large quantities, the price begins to go up.

Yes, your thinking is right Bitcoin's demand will increase after that, but Bitcoin prices will increase, but it depends on some people who are associated with Bitcoin, But it can not increase or reduce others too much except those directly connected to it.
