The guy is banned for 60 days from the forum and 2 years without signature.
The merit are not (the only) criteria, every case is investigated separately.
He has many scam investigations and accusation against shady projects with plagiarized whitepaper or fake team. So he was doing quite good for the forum. Just see his last started topics and you will see what I'm talking about.

It's difficult to compare him with the regular posters "discussing useless subjects" just to reach their sig. campaign limit and get some stakes.
I thinks it's fair punishment.

In fact, he is punished. Read what's written in his signature:

Yes, more than enough, but he actually did not get ban-uplift by saying sorry. It demonstrates admin or global mods carefully check reports from mods before making bans on users who plagiarised.

Hope this clears the issue. It was not due to my ban, appeal here. I just created this Post to know the exact post which was Plagraized so that I could atleast take care of it once I get unbanned.

He did mistakes in 2018, but it is clearly that he contributed good things to the forum over last year, and maybe this is why he got ban-uplift very fast. One more ban-uplift due to good net-effects for the forum, it's good to see it.
