Trust is quite a unique decision and scammers have eventually encroached all the financial sector which crypto world is not an exception .crypto has excelled globally and it has given birth to series of misconception and un approached irregularities which I sincerely believe that proper sensitization about Bitcoin will reduce the idea of scamming in the crypto world and by so doing it will give different individuals the need to learn and understand the idea of Bitcoin before intending to invest.

This forum is the largest cryptocurrency discussion forum in the world and also the oldest, so many people understand about investing in Bitcoin and altcoins through this forum. In fact, the majority of members here are directed to this forum when they are looking for something related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Apart from that, regarding the responsibility of this forum in enlightening society about Bitcoin, I don't think it's that big.

but for those who seek wealth through this forum, don't be so disappointed with the results you will get, only a few have managed to make enough money from this forum and that's because they have good literacy skills.

Everyone has the desire to get enough money and be rich. But like every desires of man, it should be kept checked and controlled. Obviously, money is very important in the society to fulfill our needs and perhaps the insanity and outright greed in the society to acquire as much as we can.

An ignorant man with some common sense would know better to keep away from putting his money in what he knows little about. But sometimes, people let their desire to acquire money get out of control and greed sets in. A greedy man is a juicy target for scammers.

It is normal for your friend to think in that direction, this the first time you are telling him such, you don't expect him to accept at once, is very unfortunate that some people don't have much information about Bitcoin, you that's opportunity to have such information should back it up with facts and evidence because I think that's what most people need to be convinced, you don't educate someone on something that you have no prove and evidence about, so I think the only that guy will believe you is to show him how you have benefited so far. No doubt there are some people that don't believe in Bitcoin no matter what you say or the evidence within their reach they ain't still see it as a transparent system.

Fear is a great tool that can easily hinder one from his/her success. This isn't only in cryptocurrency but also in every business. One must learn how to take risk. More billionaires today has for once in their lifetime risk some investment. Back to crypto, there isn't any risk getting some BTC for the future. It's just like securing one future for success.

The fear investment can be jeopardizing if we have had bad experience about scam investment that might had taken our money. Investment is a good option for us to save our money for a bigger time ahead. I could remember in the past and how I lost some funds because I couldn't invested my money in a reputable firm since the offer was so inviting. It is goof if we follow straight rules when making investment because that would guide us from putting our funds in business that would give us more loses than profits. Investment should be simple and not in a form of get rich scheme.

Although it had stopped people from knowing to more about Bitcoin but that doesn't mean that many have stopped to them completely. Any time someone can just go back to get invested in Bitcoin.

The interest could be there but just been delayed based on those news about fake platforms, scams and other cons that's been made in other financial matters too.

Why is that whenever we wanna talk to people about bitcoin use case we are only particular about the earning of profit from it as store of value.
Do we talk about  bitcoin volatility to them.
Do we also talk about it to them that bitcoin can also be used as a digital transaction payment and how it's of divisibility meaning it can  be fragmented into units just like fiat money. An hedge against inflation of devaluation of their  fiat money.

We should try as much as we can to touch the various use case of bitcoin when talking to people about and not just that it's an investment means to earn profit. It's awesome when I read about topics of people sharing about the bitcoin knowledge to others but when doing so we shouldn't just dwell on the investment part.

I strongly disagree with this statement.

Lack of knowledge is the reason why we fear and have phobia for many things. Just as the darkness gives way to light, so fear gives way to knowledge. I argument here is that people who are afraid of being scammed and therefore loose interest in investing in bitcoin is because they have not acquired the necessary knowledge that dissipates fear.

This knowledge comes from reading books, asking the right question, associating with the right community of people who tell you the truth. Do you know that the single reason why people get scammed is because the see bitcoin as get rich quick scheme and these scammers can easily spot people like this and feed on their desperation. With the right knowledge the scammer has no hold on them.

As if people don't get scammed in offline businesses. As if people don't get scammed through their banks. As if people don't even lose tangible assets. Well, that's what it's. It's quite understandable when people get scared of Bitcoin the first time they get to hear of it because of its connection to the internet but it will become overboard if these people still fear and not research it. Most of these people think it's risky getting in Bitcoin out of hearsay and not of any personal experience or loss they've got. No one should live on the bandwagon effect. They should try it out for that's the way to go in learning new things.

As laughable as your experience with your friend is, that's often the mindset of many out there. Some will even go the extra mile to demand you show them proof of whatever goodies you think they stand to gain before they can try it out. I think we're at that point where Bitcoin will gain more press time as major news outlets are going to be interested in knowing what's going on with Bitcoin in a few weeks time. That has been the format whenever we experience a rally. Those who missed the past rallies maybe lucky to join this train and if they miss it, they might get another chance in 2028. Where I come from, there's this local parlance that everyone has their appointed time for breakthrough.

There must be some confusion bro, the plate forum is not only for the newbies but for all the enthusiasts of bitcoins either they are old ones are the middle ones. In 2009 when Satoshi made this platform the main aim of this plate forum was to discuss the bitcoin and blockchain system. Blockchain and Bitcoin was the most advanced form and people were facing, problems at that time but they didn't know how to deal with them so Satoshi made a platform where people from different countries discussed the issues arising in the blockchain system so that he could fix it quickly. But now it gives opportunities to many people in different sections and people earning health funds from here.

Sometimes this fear came from fear of knowing nothing. Most of the people I heard who said that they don't want to invest in crypto or in bitcoin are those people who have been scammed by "so called" bitcoin. They don't know anything about bitcoin at all they just invest with those platform that offers high leverage because  they are aiming for huge money in return. They fear the thing that they don't know it well.

Scammers are everywhere, not only on the internet but even physically, scamming people, so I don’t think people are afraid to be scammed, which is why they are not investing in bitcoin, but I see their ignorance of new technology. The main problem with many people is that they will never do their own research but only follow what some people are saying about something, either good or bad, which is very wrong, and with the idea that these people are hardly successful in life because they don't have confidence in themselves,
 
Sometimes people think that some people want to scam them. In some way, some people introduce Bitcoin to them. Some people introduce Bitcoin as a way scammers are introducing scam platforms to people by exaggerating things that are not likely to happen, like when someone invests 100 dollars and becomes rich in a few months. For any person who has experience with any online scam before, they will easily think you want to scam them because that is what scammers always do to attract them. If we come to introduce Bitcoin to a person or people, let them know the advantages and disadvantages of it. Do not force the advantages alone, just to get attracted, and tell the person or people to do their research also. 

Fear is always present because in every investment there is certain risk. And if you are incapable to manage the risk, you will definitely develop the fear of losing. But by acquiring knowledge and getting a hint of the background of your investment like bitcoin, then you will be most likely become aware how to deal with the risk and overcome it, or lessen the risk from losing. The reason why knowledge and on hand experience are crucial. Knowledge alone will not save you from scamming, but by learning from the experience of other investors, that will help you a lot to be free from scams.

However, even a lot of us consider bitcoin as a safe haven investment, its still important to invest with caution. All investments that have risks should always be dealt and proceed with caution.

Perhaps, the idea of trying is good but should be careful where we try and the platform we use. As you have mentioned, a lot of fake platforms cause losses and interest to the people which is why we just try unless we are knowledgeable enough on what we have to do. We don't like those people who invest blindly and make an investment because someone told them about this. It is not about fear why we should not invest but the reason is we are not yet totally prepared as we can't just jump on the boat not knowing where it goes and what is the thing we have to do.

that's the human nature of people. want to look for new things even though it is clear there are things they already trust, but why are they still looking for new investments even if they don't understand the project?
They are already sure about investing in Bitcoin, but an offer or invitation from someone can make them interested in a new project that offers the promise of bigger and faster profits.

if more people are deceived by investing in the wrong assets, it will certainly lead to a poor understanding of all crypto assets. the impact may be widespread and those who feel cheated may exit this investment and rate crypto very poorly.

All of us commit mistakes in life especially if we don't know somethings especially when starting up and those people we ask for guidance is just deceiving us for projecting some nice profits if we gonna go with them then invest some amount on the platforms they pointing out. For sure this situation happens to other newbies to that's why they got scam by ponzi scheme platforms and other shady platforms around. If there will be just an honest guy will teach newbie about possible things when they are starting up for sure this incident is avoidable to happen in their side.

Lucky for newbie who learn this forum at early because they would provably know all the feedbacks they want to gather, but for those people who has totally zero knowledge of everything about crypto then they are at huge risk to lose some money on their first attempt to invest on something caught up their interest.

People who have been deceived or easily deceived must have made quite fatal mistakes in their lives, such as often openly showing off luxury goods and their savings to people they have just met or to the public. Secondly, people who are more easily deceived are those who very easily believe in other people's words without analyzing them further so that they will be more easily victimized by people who have the intention to deceive anyone. So things like that can make anyone a victim of fraud all this time.

There have been many online digital related scams that have happened in the oast which still causes fear in the heart of many people, if we also consider the kind of nuisance some shitcoins have also caused their investors in cryptocurrency, many who don't have the understanding will take bitcoin together with every other coins since they were all cryptocurrency, people want to try new things out but were afraid of loosing their money to scam, only those that really understand the importance of bitcoin and how it can help their financial lives take time in learning it without having the fear of missing out.

I understand a little about what you experience when you tell a friend about Bitcoin. When I first got to know Bitcoin, I also became too enthusiastic about spreading awareness about digital assets, especially about Bitcoin. But it turned out that this was not a good enough move at that time. So in the end I prefer to focus on myself and my own family. And I'm lucky enough that my family also shares my interest in Bitcoin. They don't like trading bitcoins but at least they are smart enough to accumulate bitcoins for the long term.

So the lesson I can take from the experience I had when spreading awareness about bitcoin is that I have to focus more on myself and I have to prove that I am investing in the right things. And I want to see the look on their faces when I have been successful with my investment. Because nowadays basically people only want to follow everything that already has real evidence before their own eyes. But when in my country Bitcoin was declared legal as a commodity asset, at that moment I felt very happy and my friend who previously underestimated Bitcoin also started to ask questions again and he wanted to learn again. But this time I let him learn on his own and only gave him where to learn from.
