This is pretty gimmicky, and I’m not sure it’s even going to happen, but I have to say if it does, I’ll be watching.

Your post also raises the question whether they could go for that fight without the consent of their shareholders in a broader sense. The shareholders can't forbid a CEO to participate in a fight, but imagine someone is Tesla long in the stock market and Zuckerberg lands a lucky punch in the face of Musk and he falls like a tree and shareholders in panic sell and the trader who is long gets squeezed out. Would that lead to any claims for damages? Or is it the same as when a CEO loves extreme skiing or jumps with a parachute out of a plane? I would like to know what the responsibilities are for CEOs and what would be ok and what could count as gross negligence.

Yeah, Meta is still recovering from the huge plunge that it has been. But honestly, if the retail investors do really watch this fight out and if Mark proclaims as the winner, there is a chance that they'll play out with its stock and have it bought until it raises its price.
After all, this is totally a match of the year CEO edition and after this who knows if Dana will make it like a tradition that this should happen yearly. Roll Eyes

Well said, it shed more light on how these fights work. My 2 cents is that if they really want to do it, they can bend the rules to their favour especially someone like Elon musk that constantly goes out and about to do surprising things - Even the UFC might readily issue a license for the fight to hold considering how much they stand to gain from a fight like that (monetary value and possibly, more viewership. So far, nothing more has been confirmed so I would just keep my fingers crossed and see how the story develops.

IIRC, I saw a post where Elon Musk confirmed that he is "dead serious" about it. I still doubt the possibility but never say never. I've seen things that in the past I would think is impossible happen so I won't be surprised if this fight ends up happening. I don't know about Elon, but Mark is a fighter and I have been following some of his jiu-jitsu activities in the past so I'm even more pumped about it. It would be super interesting to see both of them fight, not just for the sake of it.

If bookers open markets for this fight and it goes on to happen, I'm definitely putting my money on Elon regardless, haha.

Hoping it wouldn't be on the mataverse. I would like to see this fight, it's one in a lifetime that rich guys like Musk and Zuckerberg will bout in a match. If Dana White hinted it and he's sharing it across his social media then I think it will happen, he even got a t-shirt of the upcoming fight. I'm with Mark here considering he's still more agile than Musk.

Reports has it that it wasn't as serious as people has taken the news. It's a fight that's not ever gonna happen in because these two billionaires wouldn't go in to the boxing ring just to show what everyone already knows which is who's more influential between them.

I dont see it would really be making out some effects if we do speak about stocks or whatsoever but it is true that there are really indeed times on which these events do make out some notable or significant effects

on which it might really be affecting those prices on which it is really that something that connects into it but im sure that investors or stockholders wont really be just that dumb on making those kind of actions to be made just because they've seen that their CEO is being punched on the face. I'd love to lay that bet if I never had to refund a cancellation. Or betting a draw of some kind even if cancel or no show is the most likely outcome. I think its a joke guys, not for real ever. A proper fight is actually hard work even on a show level to the sport its still hard work not to appear awful and a physical mess.
I cant see either pulling off the bloated overweight look like a George Foreman and somehow winning dominantly as he had skill and experience as well.
