I doubt that is even 95%, maybe around 75-80%. Most of them build farms on locations where electricity is very cheap. You should also take account on the model of hardware miners they mostly have on mining bitcoin, once they reached that halving they are already mining at a lost.

Absolutely right! Miner, use less efficient equipment, they will be forced to leave the network, when the rewards will fall.

Many Chinese Bitcoin-mines are located in the mountainous regions of Tibet and Sichuan, where the climate is favorable for mining, and hydroelectric power is cheap, especially during the rainy season. The system of informal relations between Chinese businessmen, officials and the owners of power plants, known as Guangxi, Miner helps to achieve the best prices for electricity. Bitcoin-summer Chinese computers are often cooled by a huge fan. Sometimes water is used not only as a source of electricity, but also as a cooling system.

This is not a good time now for Steam user, because the Steam Summer Sale ends on July 5th but the halvening is not started yet. We want to buy games by spending our Bitcoin, but it's not a good time to spend our Bitcoin now.
What an irony Cry
If i were you, I would just go ahead and spend my btc on the steam sale. Because i dont think the price is going to change too drastically near the halfing. we will prolly see a rise in the price couple of months after the halfing takes place imo.
right,it'll need a time to give affect to bitcoin prices atleast people buying it will become as a trend, the price will not going to rising that instant,it need a process would've spend the bitcoin for steam summer sale rather than regret,if summer sale can give you 80% OFF I don't sure bitcoin could give you price rising till 80%

What will happen to the speed of the bitcoin transactions? Will it be causing a very slow transactions and what will be the effect of this on the trading on exchanges. Will people start putting the value of their bitcoins to ETH and Litecoin instead?

There are not slow transactions, there are low transaction fees.  Smiley

Moreover, trading on exchanges has nothing to do with blockchain of bitcoin (speed of transaction). Only, withdraw from exchange does.

I am just wondering if you guys have any plans on where to put your bitcoins when the Halvening is 1 day away. You will sell your bitcoins? Put the value of your bitcoins on altcoins instead? More than half of the bitcoin mining is located in China, what will happen there will cause a chain reaction. How much of their miners will stop since they will mine already at a loss after the halving. What will happen to the speed of the bitcoin transactions? Will it be causing a very slow transactions and what will be the effect of this on the trading on exchanges. Will people start putting the value of their bitcoins to ETH and Litecoin instead?

95% from miners are from China. Part of them  have stolen electricity and other part has it very cheap. they will be on profit anyway. Smiley

I think its really an historic markpoint in the history of bitcoin,if the price doesn't rise during the halving, bitcoin will remain a niche currency.
of course it is a really historical moment in my opinion, we will definitely see something new in bitcoins and that will be really cool because i have never seen something like that

only 5 days are left right now till this huge event, if this will make me some profit out of the bitcoins i already have i would definitely then sell some of my bitcoins most probably

You seem very excited! if the price remains at these levels the event could not be so huge as you think,
but if the opposite happens then yes you had reason to be excited.

most of the BTC users are not interested about price. BTC is just a tool and once they get any BTC, they withdrawn to cash instantly  Smiley

I will continue to change the title each 24 hours (decrease one day) , who is excited like I am !

If you are as excited as you are nervous, then sure, im with you!
im both to be honest im excited and im nervous because in my opinion anything might happen with the bitcoin price, because of that im a little bit afraid that the price is going to go down

a few days left only right now and i think that the price is going to increase pretty soon but the problem is that no one actually knows what will happen, because of that i might lose money

So, did you mean that the halving will take a significant effect after a couple of months? Are you sure about that? Because the block rewards is cut in half, how could it not make a drastic effect on the price?

i am eagerly waiting for halving day , i am also saving little bit ,
i will buy some more bitcoins , hoping price may increase suddenly  Smiley

Nice dump in price this afternoon, there is you're chance to buy some "cheap(er)" coins  Smiley

Yeah from $690 to $650, disappointed to see that dump as I was expecting that it will cross $700 and would be around $720 but unfortunately it didn't happen.

I did anticipated on that too, but apparently more people want to sell their coins then to buy. However I still have some hope this is not all to it.
When the halving is finished i don't expect any big things, but currently I still have a hope/feeling it will go back to 750 at least.

Yeah and if it reaches to the price of $750 then I would be much satisfied and will prefer to sell my coins and secure the profits, as I missed the boat last week when it touched to $780 so I don't want to repeat the same mistake again.

as we get closer to the halfing, the number of blocks with 25btc rewards decrease. so i wonder if miners think " oh, I better mine more btc now because after the halfing i wont get as much of a reward" and this results in more miners now, making the halfing come faster than expected.  Cool
anyways less than 6 days left now, can't wait to see what happens.
