The first thing I bought when I first received my bitcoin, I cash it out and buy my self some school things that I really need that time. I haven't tried treating my loved ones using my bitcoin, but I am planning to do that this coming December, if I have enough then I'll cash it out and treat them for Christmas.
I have used bitcoin several times, but haven't used it for a purchase rather than converting to fiat because the product that I look for is not available right now. In my country we have got very small acceptance of bitcoin in online shops. Hoping to buy an expected product during the upcoming years.
I bought a Facebook account which has 4000 friends from a member here on bitcointalk forum for 0.001 btc and later sold it for 0.01 btc after one month.That was my first purchase with bitcoin

I myself just bought some books if I'm not mistaken because it was about 4 months ago. I'm a little bit not good at remembering.

I usually convert it into fiat and use so I actually have not bought with bitcoin because my country does not like bitcoin at all. So that mean there is not any bitcoin shop in my area. I hope that one day therewill be a shop in my area which accept bitcoi as payment

Yes and I think buying things fro bitcoins are limites as there are not wide options available at a moment where we can use them to buy anything but if you exchange them to fiat then you can buy anything.

I sold my bitcoin to fiat , bought foods for my birthday really good in feeling to have something that i work hard to have that time .
really good in feeling to have something that i work hard to have that time .That's a very good thing to buy with bitcoin, convert it to fiat and buy foods, for sure your whole family will be enjoying your birthday... As for my experience, I forgot already, but I am sure that it is food since I also converted my bitcoins to fiat too most of the time before...
well for me the first thing that i bought with my btc was my laptop. I was just happy for it and I prove that earning with btc is just not easy to get. I just trading for a couple of month and study the movement of the price of the altcoin and trade it to btc.and for the couple of month my investment in trading was good enough to buy my first laptop 
Even I bought laptop from the earnings from bitcoin, I kept on saving my earnings from signature campaign and once it reached to descent level, I converted it to fiat so that I can buy a good laptop for me.

I bought a mobile handset with Bitcoin for my mother. I thought of gifting her when i started earning BTC. Mom was so happy. Planning to buy a television from my future earnings. Lots of commitments. Need to fulfill one by one. The price is increasing now. This would bring me more fiats to the btc i am saving now.

Classy restaurant? I would be lucky if I could find ANY restaurant in my area that took bitcoin. Or any business for that matter. I'd love to tip the paperboy in bitcoin, but he doesn't even know what it is.
I've bought coins before, and that's about it. My philosophy is kind of like what other people have said, which is that bitcoin is for saving not spending. When it gets more widely used, perhaps I'll take the plunge and start using it as a currency. Until then, I'll just go with dollars and pocket change.

I bought me a domain for hosting a blog.
Didn't cost me much and I am still holding it today.
Since that purchase went smooth, I tried from time to time to buy other things wit bitcoins and did not have any problems yet!

An Internet domain, I wanted to make a page I had in mind for a long time It was quick and easy and I liked how everything works from that moment I was more interested in understanding how to work with bitcoin.
