How it could be popular if it has no instant transactions and you should pay 0.30 cents TX fee buying a cup of coffe that costs 3 dollars? It is not working for wider adoption. They must implement lightning network and segwit, otherwise there are no reason to talk about the future of Bitcoin. Without updates suitable for wider adoption it is dead.

I think it will gonna last forever and has a bright future ahead .will the blockchain s developing day by day why not it is not gonna compete with the bitcoin world.it is quite obvious that goverment would not allow it fully buy still it will have its own way .
We cant assure that bitcoin will last forever. Remember that bitcoin now is now banned in few countries and maybe other country continue the ban of bitcoin in futurr e years.
but as time goes by , people will need bitcoin technology to make things easier, it is just the matter of time.
