The future of the money is pretty good but no one knows that is really gonna happen with it of course because its something that we cannot predict.
The bitcoin can maybe be a global currency but we are right now still far from that.

I think people in the future will leave fiat as money, they will back to use gold anymore. Becouse gold is more worth. Gold is better than anything as a money. Gold value is not depend on the strenght of political country.
well if you're talking about Goldbar . goldbar is so Rare right now. that's why they invented the fiat system for our economy to produce and goes to cycle. i think the future is the digital cryptocurrency like bitcoin. bitcoin is having his run now now it's 2016 im still waiting for the future where all people gonna use bitcoin as digita currency.

It is a question of the gold price level.

The Great Depression era's gold standard had a shortage of gold and became an economic problem because the price of gold was too low given the amount of paper wealth in circulation at the time.  The more paper circulating, the higher the gold price must be to maintain stability and prosperity.

The bankers and central bankers had issued too much paper, so the only way to stabilize the system after a crisis of confidence was to raise the price of gold.  But they didn't want to do that, since it would have made their theft too obvious.  (So they allowed the Great Depression instead.)

Today, if they want to (or have to) go back to gold, they will have to allow a much higher price of gold.

I think it is very unlikely that we will see a worldwide crypto currency issued by a central bank since that will require a government so powerful that it can impose his will above the will of the other countries and while the U.S is very powerful is not that powerful.

It is possible if the central bank finds a way they can still control the crypto currency.

Central banks only care about if they can control the currency they issue, they don't care too much whether it is crypto or not.

The last 400 years of modern money and finance shows that central banks can use a small amount of hard money (gold, silver, and maybe Bitcoin in future) to enable themselves to issue a large amount of currency (by 'backing' the currency.)

The whole idea of the gold and silver standards (up until 1971) was to suppress the value of the hard money by selling the amount they held at a fixed price.  The goal of this suppression was to enable the elites to benefit from issuing currency and debt out of thin air.

The softer gold standards since 1914 and the fiat system since 1971 turned out to be more difficult to hold together, and so this argues for going back to a hard peg against a hard money.

If they do that, the price of the hard money will have to be much higher to keep the peg stable.

Never say never. There was no single country which was very powerful in the Euro zone. Yet, we did see the Euro replace the lira, drachma and the deutsche mark.

The euro was made possible by the power and size of the France-Germany axis.  France was able to get Germany to agree to the euro by agreeing to German reunification.  If power was more dispersed across Europe, I'm not so sure if the euro would have been born.

As I mentioned, modern money is a political as much as an economic product.  And politics is not looking good for the dollar-based system (or any future IMF-based system which is really the same thing in a different guise) after this US election!

It's possible but not in this millenium. There are still countries that hasn't been develop when it comes to technology.. especially those who lives in mountains and such.. so they still need cash. Gold value can flactuate like bitcoin value and they depends on the value of USD (money) no matter what.
Uh

Are you sure that you meant millennium? You're saying that we still won't have a way to get the people out of poverty and the third world by 3000. Like, 10x longer than anyone born in 2000 will live, based on current statistics. That's 984 years...

Maybe half-century, but chances are we're going to see people everywhere get developed by 2050+. As long as everything goes well.
You are talking of a long future, probably we are all gonna die during that time. But for me, I will stand on what I believe and I believe that paper money will not be gone in the circulation as it has been here for so long and we use paper money for our day to day transaction.

Yes, some countries are behind the modern world, but that can exactly be the reason for them to accept bitcoin even faster then modern countries. Fiat will disappear in this shape as fiat exist today, one day everything will be digital, that is clear to everyone. Bitcoin can be one of the currencies that will exist in future, its young and there is a years for bitcoin to adopt and improve.
Gold will be one of precious metals and that will always have some value, and yes now gold and bitcoin are connected with price of dollar, but that can change for 50 years.

Most likely everything will be digital in the future so paper money will disappear and everything also in real stores will be payed with digital money, we all will have our phone for it or a simple card.

The future is actually going to be more digital as we can see that happening everyday, but we cannot be sure if bitcoin will be the digital system adopted in place of paper money or the governments will make their own digital systems that will be implemented on us.
Yeah paper money would still be around and a lot of countries most likely would still have paper money as their main currency especially poor countries. It's highly possible that digital currency would be widely used in the future but paper money for me would be be a strong currency
In the future, digital currency is the trend but only for the corporate people, there are a lot of people who does not have the idea of using bitcoin and for sure they are comfortable with the money they are using. So probably, paper money will still be use, we need to educate people to use bitcoin and not all can understand.

i agree with you buddy. time will come that all of us will use cryptocurrency in our economy so that we can prevent losing of our trees in our world just to create paper money. soon our government will make this choice. I'm thinking too that if we use btc in our everyday use its much easier than pulling a money into your pocket we can prevent those snatchers that stealing our money you know what i mean ? with btc we can change the world so This is our future money .
A simple card? That's basically ATM card and the app on the phone that you're looking for is Paypal/bitcoin wallet. That's not the future at all since that's the present but we still use the paper money more than we use our card and our bitcoin wallets combined.

The only flaw of using our phone for payments is it would become more shiny in the eyes of criminals. They'll get your phone + they'll get your bitcoin wallet. Even though there's a security code, they can still sell your phone.

I'm hoping that too. because our mother earth losing too much of it's own beautiful nature. and with the use of btc we can change the world where it's not used to be. digital money less cutting trees. and more secure because our money is encrypted. that's why im investing all of my money in btc because i believed that time will come that crypto currency will surpass our old culture.

It may happen, but not soon. It will take a lot of time. People need to completely change their attitude to money. Many still do not trust Bitcoin

The amount of trees cut to issue paper money is a non-issue. We could just have higher denomination notes. In any case, most fiat notes are printed on polymers/plastics these days. So that will not be a reason for the adoption of crypto currencies.
But digital currencies must be environmental friendly in this sense. When we are already switching over to ebook and digital magazines for reason of deforesting, why not currencies alone still in physical format even it is printed on plastic substitutes (polymers may lead to severe pollution issues).

that will not be a reason for the adoption of crypto currencies.
But, we could use this environmental friendly reason to fasten the adoption of crypto currencies.
